Hotel Nella is pleasant, beautiful and welcoming.
The lobby and shared rooms are large, beautiful and sumptuous.
The rooms and bathrooms, if we like, furnished with slightly dated components, but no problem: the extremely meticulous cleaning and the visible careful maintenance of everything gave us the opportunity to really appreciate the structure and enjoy an excellent stay.

The room was a good size, it was comfortable.
The bathroom was to small and the shower was so small you could hardly turn.
The door of the bathroom jammed, so it was really uncomfortable to go in and out the the bathroom. I told this to the receptionist, nothing happend.
The room was also noisy, you could hear people talk outside on the balcony.
We especially booked a hotel outside the city for some peace.
The staff was friendly and the breakdown was okee.

Hotel Nella is located high in the hills behind La Spezia. Ample parking and great staff. They were helpful with tips of where to visit and where to eat. The rooms are clean but quite small. The shower is extremely small, but the water pressure is good.

A very beautiful hotel, located in the mountains… very beautiful view, waking up to the crowing of the rooster. Good lunch. Spacious room (on a corner), very bright, very, very clean. The comfort of the beds, 7/10. The only drawback: the restaurant for the evening (we ate there 2 evenings, it was so good) charged us 8 euros too much, the 1st evening... and also the 2nd evening another surcharge of 8 euros. 🤦♀️
So check your bill. Otherwise, the rest is 10/10. I recommend it.

Rooms and bathroom are very clean but a bit dated.
The exterior of the hotel could also use a makeover.
Breakfast was good and extensive enough, especially by Italian standards.
Staff at the reception and dining room were very friendly and helpful and spoke to us in both English and French.

The only and biggest disadvantage: thin walls, so you could hear people in the hallway and in the room next to you, as if they were also in your room... so sound insulation left a lot to be desired.
But all in all a good hotel to explore the area: Cinque Terre, Pisa, Lucca,...

Beautiful Hotel located in the hills so very cool at night and cold in the morning if you are used to making passes very early.
Breakfast of excellent standard with great variety of products.
The room is very large and furnished in a modern way, the staff very helpful. Definitely to be recommended for a visit to the beautiful 5 lands

we spent a week in La Spézia, staying at the Nella hotel. the welcome from the super friendly boss, always available for advice, the staff at the boss level, i.e. friendly and available. Hearty and varied breakfasts.

This hotel completely satisfied us. Well located without the abnormal prices of Cinque Terre
and its hordes of tourists. Very clean and quiet standard room.
Hearty self-service breakfast. Very attentive and often multilingual staff.
We came for the Cinque Terre trek. The receptionist was impeccable during the welcome with real advice that saved our walk, all in impeccable French.

Our review is from a little bit before march 2022. I apologize for being busy and not getting to it. It is a wonderful little gem of a hotel. The stock hotel photos tell the story.
It had a wonderful breakfast. The staff were amazing. We had 6 people staying in 3 different rooms. Clean, Quiet, Quant, Charming, Not opulent.. but VERY romantic. I was there with my kids and my wife was not on the trip (she had to stay back in the USA) Perhaps THAT was why the trip was so enjoyable?? I am heading back there in June of this year and would not stay anywhere else.

The hotel is a little further away from La Spezia. The view of the city from above is very nice. The breakfast buffet was good. The staff in particular is very friendly and accommodating. There is a good restaurant nearby for dinner. All in all, OK.

The hotel has a private open air parking in front of the main building; parking is protected by an electric barrier. The area is safe, never had any trouble.
