Great boutique hotel right in the heart of La Spezia. Close to the train station and Ferry to access the beautiful Ligurian Coast, including the Cinque Terre.
The hotel has an art feel to it, spacious rooms, decorated in white and grey. Breakfast quality was excellent, with organic produce, fruits and delicious yoghurt and jams made locally. The staff were very helpful and welcoming. Thank you Gugli and the team for making our stay so special. We will return! Kim and Sandra

From the moment we arrived Anna looked after us - such a lovely girl - so helpful and friendly. She advised us re where to go and how to visit the Cinques Terres and recommended and booked a restaurant for us whcih wasn't too 'touristy'. When she checked us in and looked at our passports , she spotted that it was my husband's birthday and arranged for some lovely sweet treats (cakes) for him and put them in the fridge for when we returned to the room that day. The room was beautifully clean and the bed was comfy and the breakfast was nice with good coffee made by Mary in the morning. I would 100% recommend this hotel, hidden away yet situated conveniently in the heart of La Spezia. Thank you, Anna - hope to bump into you in Brighton one day!

We stayed at Novecento for 5 days. We are absolutely delighted, and very happy to have chosen this hotel. It is ideally located, very close to the center but set back at the end of a small courtyard, which makes the place very calm and very relaxing.
The welcome is simply incredible. Anna is very available, really cares about her customers, comes spontaneously with advice and recommendations, and all with a kindness that we would like to see more often. Guillermo is also very attentive, and does everything to make your stay pleasant.
Impeccable room and impeccable bedding. Complete breakfast, varied while highlighting local products.
The hotel is located a few minutes' walk from the train station, as well as the city center and a wide variety of restaurants.
During our stay, we obviously explored the 5 Terres, as well as Portovenere which was really our favorite.
A good address to remember!
Note: as we had rented a car to come from Florence, we dropped off at the local agency, we called a taxi to take us to the hotel - but the driver did not know him. Google Maps helped us and was able to drop us off nearby. The place is pedestrianized so the last 100 meters are done on foot. Good to know!

A boutique hotel is defined by its tasteful rooms and general ambience (decoration, quality of furniture, etc.).
The only worthy part of this establishment is its façade. As you may see in the attached photos, the furniture in my room were cheap, the plaster on the walls was chipping and in the (big) bathroom the tiles were all PAINTED grey, which, evidently, lead to peeling off the moment you accidentally put your nails on them.
Moreover, a hotel:
1. has a reception that caters for the needs of the guests. In our case, the reception was both days absent after early evening hours. When there was an internet break down, there was noone from the hotel staff to give some guidance or explanation to the guests, who, to their despair, were in the lobby trying to figure out what to do.
2. does not run out of clean glasses in the middle of breakfast (09:00).
Not to forget the stains on the sheets (see relevant photo).
As far as the young man that had the role of the receptionist (not after evening hours of course..), he scarcely followed the mandatory measures concerning COVID 19 (wearing a mask).
The only not disappointing part of my stay was
the location of the establishment, right in the city centre.
Based on all the above, I am afraid that I do not recommend this accommodation.

The best thing to highlight is the location in the historic heart of La Spezia, close to the train station and also the ferry, which is why it does not have parking.
It is not a boutique hotel, it lacks many details for that category.
Although it is a building that is older, the atmosphere is modern, clean and pleasant. The rooms are small but correct. Helpful and friendly attention, good and complete breakfast.
There is no 24-hour reception unless prior agreement on arrival time, after a certain hour you have to manage yourself as in a large house with key entry and assigned codes.
Our stay was pleasant, I recommend it for young people in particular.

We needed a central base between the station and the harbour in La Spezia and this hotel was spot on. Basic facilities and breakfast but very clean and we had a nice room with huge bathroom. A great base to visit the Cinque Terre which is a must and also good for shopping. The only downside with covid is that masks were mandatory both indoors and outdoors which spoiled our visit but not the hotel's fault.

We stayed 2 nights in this fantastic structure, recently renovated and located in a super strategic place where you arrive via a hidden alleyway on the central Via Prione. The rooms are really nice, super clean and very quiet. The owner and staff were very kind and always available. A special mention goes to Anna, a very nice and super kind girl who cheered up our stay by explaining the origins of the structure, showing us many places to visit and just as many where to go to eat. How nice to meet such friendly and sociable people. However highly recommended!

The hotel is located in a great area of La Spezia with walking access to the harbor, train station and city center. The room was good size and bright and clean. The bathroom was fully equipped. Nice home-made daily breakfast buffet. Staff very friendly and helpful. They went out of their way to help. We will stay there again. It is a short walk from the train station but it is hidden off the main street so pay attention to the directions. As far as location, you can't get better location in La Spezia. We will stay there again.

The welcome by Anna is worth the detour, she is always available to advise you or make a reservation for you
The rooms are very pleasant and spacious with courtesy tray
only negative point in our case we were on the ground floor but in April it was not too inconvenient

Hotel Boutique Novecento is a hidden gem in an alley of the pedestrian center of La Spezia, run by Anna who is welcoming, nice, fun and a great hostess. Thanks to her we visited the Cinque Terre in the most fun way! An experience to live that we will surely repeat :)

I think there are also vegetarian foods but it would be better to contact the hotel via @mail, the cook is a friendly and helpful person.
