This place is magical! The views overlooking the postcard perfect town of Manarola and the sea were breathtaking. The location is quiet and charming. Our room was beautifully decorated including with stunning works by an Italian photographer. The staff could not have been friendlier or more accommodating. Breakfast on the terrace was a wonderful way to start the day. Wish we could have stayed more than 5 nights .

My husband and I were greeted very warmly when we arrived and enjoyed a glass of prosecco on the terrace, while we getting checked in. The views are absolutely spectacular! Our room was just off the terrace and while the room was quite small, the view from our window was stunning. We sat out on our own private terrace and enjoyed the sunset after a strenuous hike to Corniglia. The location is perfect. A very steep, but manageable walk from the train station.

Located near the church at top of town. Great views of sea and town below. Very friendly staff with great service. Lots of steps to/from rooms but that is Cinque Terre. We stayed in Room 2. Nice size living room, large bedroom with king bed, and big bath room with huge double shower. Very nice. Loved included breakfast on outdoor patio with nice views. Food was great. Staff carried luggage to/from rooms which was super helpful. Place would be challenge for physically challenged. Highly recommend private boat tour of area. Trains and 5 towns were packed with tourists during daytime. Nighttime they clear out. Be prepared for major walking and step climbing when you tour Cinque Terre. But well worth it! Great way to work off the bread, oil and pasta!

Not only was this hotel gorgeous, clean, and relaxing, the hotel staff was the absolute best. We did not arrive until after 11:00pm, and one of them stayed to welcome us and make sure we had everything we needed. They provided the very best service and were incredibly kind. I could not recommend this hotel more!

The hotel is lovely and the staff are wonderful but the value for money is disproportionate to the size of the rooms . Having said that if you get a room either a view it’s splendid. We were surprised to hear on arrival that having paid €600 a night breakfast was not included and would be charged at €35 which we felt was excessive.

Gorgeous views, lovely staff, well sized rooms, but small bathroom/shower-vanity is too small. We had a lovely time, and will recommend to friends! We walked around Manarola, 5 min walk to the train. Trains run limited schedules to download the app for timetable. Hiked between villages, hotel offered us extra waters. Take a few oranges too! Next time - will bring more personal toiletries.

We really enjoyed our three nights in early August at La Torretta in Manarola. The staff was wonderful, especially Paola and Mattia at the front desk and Enrico and Francesco the porters. They helped us with recommendations and reservations. The housekeeping staff did a great job with our rooms. Breakfast on the patio was really nice. The view overlooking the town from the various hotel rooms was beautiful.

After much searching across all of the 5 towns, I felt fortunate to have found La Torretta in my research....as I was not looking for an Airbnb, or a room in someone's flat, or to stay outside of the Cinque Terre where far more options abound. Well, after setting foot on the property, and later our room, I knew we'd hit gold! A few reasons.... - Service that is genuinely friendly, welcoming and attentive throughout....from the immediate approach as we made our way through the initial entrance of the property, drenched in sweat (more on that later), the porter immediately taking our luggage and directing us to the lobby, where after providing the requisite documentation, we were invited on to the common terrace for super-refreshing glasses of Prosecco - Helpful guidance in terms of restaurant, boats, ferry and hiking path recommendations as well as the ever-important train schedules for shuttling between towns (post hike or post dinner!) - Twice daily housekeeping which not only was invisible and fast, but each time left the room in immaculate condition - Attentiveness during the complimentary breakfast each morning...offering unlimited refills of anything we desired without the slightest indication that there was a time limit....it felt as though the freshly-squeezed orange juice would be poured endlessly until it was dinner time! - The complimentary breakfast was an abundance of riches: the freshest selection of fruits, pastries, and assortment of cold-cuts; a wonderful bread basket with accompanying jams; coffee or cappuccino; freshly squeezed juices; and eggs made to order....talk about setting you up for your daily hiking success! - Complimentary mini-bar which was replenished daily; while it excluded alcohol beyond the complimentary bottle of local red wine which was left for us along with a lovely note, it was such a nice touch to actually be able to drink flat or sparkling water, or a Coke or Sprite and not worry about paying some exorbitant amount for the privilege - Our room was only a Classic Room with a Sea View...rather small yet impressively and stylishly decorated to maximize the space...and the View....oh boy they certainly delivered with the View (see photos) Things to keep in mind.... - The property sits at the very top of the one-way pedestrian street in Manarola, right next to the Church of San Lorenzo. Once you exit the pedestrian tunnel, it is an undulating hill that seems endless in the brutal afternoon sun dragging along 2 suitcases...at least there are no steps! The lodge advises about 10 mins from pedestrian tunnel to the top but it certainly took us more like 20 mins (we are old!) - The exterior stairs to many of the rooms including ours (#8) are VERY steep (as other reviewers have mentioned)....but then again, you are in Cinque Terre to give those legs a workout, no?? - The WiFi is perfectly serviceable but only inside your room.... - The Classic Room could do with an additional table or even a luggage rack....there simply was nowhere to place my purse, for example, and our suitcases had to be stacked on top of each other within the closet Tips.... - There is a hot tub - !!! - which I imagine sees ZERO use during the summer months but if you are here prior to their closing in October/November, I imagine would be fantastic! - Next to the hot tub, the staff set up 2 breakfast tables....they provide far more privacy than sitting on the lobby-adjacent terrace where everyone gathers for breakfast.... All in all, a lovely gem discovered....we hope to return again and envy you, dear reader, who hopefully are now convinced that this is THE hotel you must experience if you are seeking a stylish and very special stay while in the Cinque Terre!

Spectacular view from the lodge and our room, which had a private view terrace. Friendly, positive service with a smile. Reasonable, fair pricing for the area. We stayed three nights. We knew beforehand that our room, (think it’s the Duplex Suite) had steps. We shrugged that off. After checking into the room, we got the point that the steps really are high and we appreciated the luggage porter help. Offsetting the steps is the spectacular view from the private terrace. BTW, we visited all five of towns and Manarola probably involves the steepest walks.

Gabriel and his team deserve a review which I never do. The Cinque Terre has always been on my list and to be able to stay in a classy gorgeous hotel in the midst of one of the most beautiful 5 towns - made my 2 days/nights incredibly special. I hesitated and reviewed so many different options and I am so grateful I stayed in Manarola and at La Toretta. The room was ready for our arrival, clean , gorgeous view and better than they described. The breakfast is heavenly. They are all professional and even the owner never disclosed he was the owner and worked like an employee ..replying to my various emails messages and requests. Its a calm cool professional little paradise which one needs to come home and relax in. Loved it and big thank you to the entire team
