Big fan of this really lovely 10 room Boutique hotel which I believe has been in the family now for 3 generations. Refurbished I understand in the last 5 years or so, our basic room had plenty of electrical sockets, hangars (sounds ridiculous but 95% of hotels don’t), and a large trendy bathroom with a very large walking in shower (with two heads). The owner was charming and the breakfasts large with the owner offering top up of orange juice, cappuccino etc. Location is easy too

We are currently here, and I couldn’t wait to rave about this place. One of the nicest rooms in all we’ve stayed in Italy, so unexpected in this little town. It is owned by the third generation of one family. Wonderful people, so kind. Our room is large, modern, with a huge shower which is hard to come by in Italy. The location is halfway up the main steep road, which is perfect for access to all of the town, as well as quieter than by the sea. In addition, we have a lovely terrace. Don’t skip the breakfast! The owner bakes the croissants every morning, and you can eat outside in their garden.

Excellent location in Manarola - not right on the sea but only perhaps 5 minutes walk (downhill) to the waterfront. We luckily took a taxi from La Spezia to Manarola which dropped us uphill from the hotel (easy roll of the suitcases downhill) and when we departed it was an easy roll downhill to the train station. The room was really clean and comfortable with good amenities in the bathroom (some hotels we stayed at in Italy had just one bar of soap between the shower and the basin, so this was a great improvement).
The breakfast was so lovely - a simple but plentiful fare of croissants, rolls, preserves and yoghurt with many offers to top up our hot drinks.
Our host was so friendly and knowledgeable - I have no hesitation in recommending this place to anyone.

It is impossible to sleep in this hotel. The beds are rock hard. Mattress is a piece of hard foam. A low din of noise outside throughout the night didn’t help — but I am usually able to sleep through anything. Common areas are simple but pleasing. But rooms are very (very) basic with no where comfortable to sit let alone sleep. There is no view, no terrace, a small window over the street. It is so bad I left after just one night even through I am paid for 3 nights and am not eligible for a refund.

Response from Simone Rollandi, Direttore generale at Hotel Ca D'Andrean
Responded 31 Aug 2021
Dear Kathy, we are very sorry that you didn't enjoy your stay in our hotel. There are some guests that consider our beds very comfortable,so probably your opinion is different from other guests. You reserved using booking.com where rooms are without terrace. About design on the same website, there are many photos that show how rooms are. The window is large 100 cm and tall 160 cm(it's a normal window). From the window you see manarola and vineyards. About reservation on booking.com you paid directly the website and you knew in advance booking.com conditions(payment not refundable).

Excellent hotel in a great location in Manarola. Since each city is so small, everything is close. This hotel is just a short walk up the road. I highly recommend staying in the city so that you can fully experience it, especially at night. This hotel is right by a bus stop that will take you up to Volastra for a great hike to Corniglia. The hotel room was clean, quiet, comfortable, and the service was excellent. There is not an elevator so you must plan for that. Their breakfast was good but a little pricey for only pastries and coffee. That is to be expected though for a hotel breakfast! Can always walk to a cafe if you're looking for a cheaper option.

This hotel is an absolute gem, I am so happy to have stayed here. We booked directly with the hotel a double room with terrace & it was just perfect. The rooms were modern & impeccably clean, bed was perfect with a firm comfortable mattress. We stayed 3 nights &had breakfast in the gorgeous garden. The owner was kind & attentive & gave us great tips on the locality & the history of the hotel. I highly recommend this hotel to anyone visiting the Cinque Terre .

What an amazing hotel! From the terrace attached to our room, to the delicious breakfast served every morning with homemade croissants and breads, this is a perfect base to explore Cinque Terre. The bedroom was huge as was the bathroom, clean and beautifully decorated. We would come back here in a heartbeat and will recommend to everyone visiting Manarola. Stunning.

We managed to get a room without a prior reservation. The host was very empathetic, available, and helpful!
The room we had offered a marvelous view of the village with a terrace.
The breakfast was homemade, and the host was always very caring. He was a great help in organizing our tour of the Via dell’Amore.

Excellent small family owned business. Very clean, convenient location and excellent breakfast. Uphill hike from the train station, but well worth it. The owner was very accommodating and attentive to our needs. Best shower and bathroom of all the hotels we have stayed in throughout Italy and Switzerland.
