Detailed Reviews
If you are looking to stay in Cinque Terre, look no further! Maurizio was a wonderful host. He greeted us upon arrival, showed us a map of the town, and gave us hiking and dining recommendations. The rooms were designed thoughtfully with touches like a coffee and biscuits every morning, a full length mirror, built in wall safe, and even beach towels and goggles for us to use! The room felt like a true oasis situated at the very top of Manarola. We enjoyed the terrace and watching the sunset every evening.
Side note- The two restaurants Maurizio recommended were phenomenal! I highly recommend A Pie de Campu for the best focaccia ever

The views from the 2 bedroom apartment are absolutely incredible! It is a neat and tidy place with everything you need for a great stay in Cinque Terre. Maurizio will greet you and give you tips on where to hike, places to eat, etc.. He makes his own wine and will offer it to you for $10/bottle. Don't pass this up, as the wine really good! We had backpacks, so it was no trouble taking our luggage up the stairs to this place. The climb is totally worth the amazing views. We thoroughly enjoyed our 4 nights here and would highly recommend this place to others! Bellisimo!

We cannot speak highly enough about our stay at Maurizio's. He deserves all the amazing reviews. Our stay at this location was the highlight of any of our stays in Italy. Maurizio is absolutely amazing - he met us at our room and gave us a plan to visit all 5 cities. We followed it exactly and could not have planned it better ourselves. He was an absolutely incredible host. The rooms were clean and the perfect size. Highly recommend the laundry service and Maurizio's specialty wine, both made the stay all the better. The view from this location cannot be beaten - the view alone is well worth the price of the room. We would absolutely stay with Maurizio again in the future!

If you're looking for Manarola views in a clean, well kept apartment, this is the perfect place. Maurizio was very accommodating. When we checked in, he showed us a map of the Cinque Terre and explained in detail the various hikes we could do. He made us dinner reservations and even had hiking poles and umbrellas for us to use. I recommend the upstairs apartment on the corner as it has a beautiful private patio and garden area with unmatched views. Be advised that it is at the top of Manarola, so there is a significant hike and stairs on your path - but well worth the effort. Thanks Maurizio!

The B&B aria di mare is an absolutely wonderful place and its being such can be summed up in 3 sentences:
1) Maurizio, the owner, is an exceptional host: hospitable, welcoming, available, with a great knowledge of the area, giving excellent and disinterested advice. From the moment you arrive to the moment you leave, he is present in a discreet, non-invasive way, he is there, look from afar and if you need him, he is there, he comes.
2) the location is nothing short of stupendous, with a breathtaking sea view and vineyards... you can enjoy extraordinary sunsets
3) The tidy rooms smell clean and the smells of the sea and the vineyards complete the wonderful setting
Try it, you won't regret it!
Thanks Maurizio!!!

Really nice and clean place, with a really good location. The host has been amazing in every way, really caring and friendly, but most importantly full of advice to let us enjoy our vacation at its best. Definitely coming back!

We spent 3 nights in the Apartment at Aria di Mare with Maurizio as our host. The place was well located but is at the top of the town which is quite a walk uphill. The benefit is that it is relatively quiet up there. Also, there are 3 great places to eat right up there (make reservations ahead of time-Trattoria dal Billy, A Pie Du Campu, and La Regina di Manarola). The view is very good with ocean and distant shore, but not the harbor. The deck out front is comfortable and unobstructed and a nice place to sit in the morning and evening. The Apartment was spotless and nicely appointed. The bed was comfortable and the bathroom private and functional. The kitchen had what was needed plus several coffees and an expresso machine. Overall a very comfortable and pleasant place. The host was most pleasant, available anytime and gave great recommendations. This is not the fancy hotel scene, but is private, comfortable, and great for a short stay. Definitely plan to swim the harbor and bring your reef shoes. We recommend and would stay again.

Mauritzio had sent us clear directions on getting to Aria di Mare; it took a while to get up there, not necessarily because it was steep (it was) but because we kept stopping to take in view after marvelous view of Manarola and the Mediterranean. When we arrived Mauritzio was right there, filling us in on all the details of the place and Manarola. The view from the private patio nearly left us speechless, absolutely inviting us to sit in the sling chairs and drink in the view and ultimately enjoy a bottle of wine. The start of the hiking trails is just a short way from the front door of Aria di Mare, offering you choice between easy and challenging trails. At night it seemed almost a shame to go inside and leave the ambiance of the patio. The room itself was clean, brightly colored and comfortable. Staying at Aria di Mare was simply wonderful.

We loved our stay at Aria di Mare in Manarola. The apartment sits above the busy town area and has amazing views with a gentle breeze. Maurizio was extremely helpful with guidance on which walks to do and booked our restaurants for us. (loved Billy)
With encouragement we set out on the high hill walk amongst vines and olives . This was a little challenging but completely rewarding with amazing views and a sense of satisfaction. This walk was the highlight of our time in Cinque Terre. On my insistence, we did the main lower trail from Monterosso the next day and were disappointed.
Manarola is a lovely village. July was a very busy time but we had our own piece of paradise to enjoy it away from the tourists.

The host rents out holiday apartments and rooms. We had a room with a large terrace (magnificent sea view, sunset view, a table, two chairs, two deck chairs, a parasol, secluded). The room was cleaned daily, was clean, modernly furnished, had air conditioning, a kettle, there was instant coffee, biscuits, 2 cups, 2 glasses, on the top floor, quiet. The host is very helpful and very nice.

I don't know, I thought the place I reviewed was in the Cinque Terra Italy, there are no cars, but you can take a bus
There are no taxis in Manarola. Maurizio , the owner is very friendly but having stayed there we know there are no carts and nothing for hire. I would try tro see what Maurizio the owner can do to help out - we travelled light and so this was not a problem. There are a couple of hotels that have golf carts so perhaps they can be persuaded to help
