The Hotel is placed in a strategic position in the heart of the town and it is very close to the Termini Station and well linked to all the most interesting historical, artistic and commercial sites of the town.

Detailed Reviews
The hotel is about 5 minutes from Termini. It advertises a free breakfast, but when we went to the breakfast room the staff came in saying we hadn’t paid for breakfast. The selection wasn’t good anyways. We went next door and had cappuccino and a great muffin each day for less than 2.50e.
The rooms are very small. No place to put your clothes except for an armoire to hang a few things. The bathroom didn’t have a place to lay items out. There is a combined shower and bathtub with half a glass door. A hand held nozzle lays on the bottom of the tub. If you put it down while trying to apply shampoo, it flies all over squirting water. There isn’t a grab bar when exiting the tub, so now you have to be careful not to slip on all the water that has splashed out. The blow dryer has very little power, so it will take you twice as long to dry your hair as usual. The air conditioner only works when your room fob is inserted, so you are always walking into a muggy room.
The night before our tour to the Colosseum I asked the clerk to reserve transportation for 5 of us at 8:45am. He spoke English and wrote the information down. When a cab didn’t arrive the next morning. A different clerk said nothing had been ordered. He feverishly tried to find a cab, but said nothing was available. We speedily walked to Termini and found several cabs we squished 4 in the back seat and barely made it to our tour on time. When we came back the clerk, who didn’t schedule the cab apologized and told us that cabs can’t be reserved in advance and he must have misunderstood what I was asking him to do. We never had that issue at any of the other hotels where we stayed.
The rooms were clean and had daily maid service. The bag storage room was appreciated. It is a very basic hotel with no frills.

The location of the accommodation is very convenient with plenty of shops and restaurants nearby. It’s also close to Roma Termini Train Station, Bus Station and Metro Station (Line A) also within walking distance to nearly all attractions. Staff are very friendly and helpful. Check in was very easy. Our family had two rooms and we both had triple room with a good size bathroom. These rooms are very clean and had daily maid service but you will need to bring a shower cap, tooth bush and toothpaste as these items are not provided by the Hotel and I had to ask reception for towels and to refill the liquid soap in one room. There was no fridge in the rooms and you will have to bring your own Kettle, Tea and Coffee, etc. The Safety deposit box did not work in both rooms. The breakfast spread is very limited. The free bag storage room was appreciated. Prices for cots are not included in the total price, and will have to be paid for separately during your stay. Free Wi-Fi which is good.

Was a little unsure after reading some of the reviews, and from this I will give a honest review. Upon arrival at the windrose the staff were very helpful and check in was easy , I agree that the rooms are quite small but adequate for our needs. Shower cubicle was small but had really good water pressure and had shelves to put you stuff on, room and bedding cleaned daily hotel kept spotless. Breakfast was the usual Continental and there was a good choice, my only issue is I paid for breakfast for the week, eggs on toast was available but at an extra cost not part of the paid breakfast. Beds were very comfortable and air con worked well good wifi signal in the room. Plenty of restaurants and shops very close to termani. Overall we had a very pleasant comfortable stay and would definitely stay there again.

We had originally booked the Hotel Alexis next door to this hotel. On arrival to Rome our hotel was completely closed. We waited for over an hour from love holidays for alternative accommodation and in the end it was getting really late at night and we had all our luggage with us so we booked Windrose Hotel through booking.com.
When I went into this hotel the lady on reception at night was so lovely and helpful. She checked us in straight away and advised us the Vatican City was closed on Sunday (which is when we had originally planned to visit) and helped us by letting us know which buses to get!
The hotel room was clean and tidy and was cleaned each day by the maid. The location is absolutely perfect for getting round all the sites in Rome. This hotel is a 5min walk from the Termini where you can get trains and buses from and there is also a shopping centre. The breakfast was lovely.
I can not fault this hotel at all. I would definitely rebook this hotel and I would 100% recommend this to all family and friends.
They made our stay great, which it didn’t look like it was going to be at first!
Thank you ever so much!

The hotel room is absolutely tiny and the beds rock hard, so much so we all had aches from it. The breakfast buffet is poor with not even a saucer offered with the cup. Lift takes forever if it comes at all. The toilet area in the room is barely large enough to dry yourself after the shower. The area is full of people hassling you to buy stuff. Choose another hotel you literally cannot even get a sandwich in this one

Slippers, toothbrush and toothpaste are not provided by the hotel. The cleaning guy did not refill the liquid soap in the shower but only put water in it! We need to ask the front desk to give us a bottle of liquid soap to fill it ourselves. The toilet bowl also is not cleaned properly. The hair dryer stops automatically after a couple of minutes. We need to borrow one from the front desk to blow the long hair.

Let me start with the fact that we arrived by train. If you are arriving by train and would like to save money on a taxi or other transportation option, this hotel is great. We were traveling for 3 weeks, so several bags, and the walk from the station was very manageable (even in the heat). I truly wish I had written down the name of the incredible gentleman at the front desk who made every effort to get our party of 5 into a taxi so we could make our tour, but I have forgotten (maybe Paolo?); he was exceptionally kind.
The room was spacious, beds were comfy, but our AC was leaking. The only thing keeping me from giving this hotel a 5 is the AC issue and bathroom. There was no shelving at all. Trying to keep toiletries for three people on an area about one foot wide and one foot long, was ridiculous.
Breakfast was included in our stay, and I recommend paying the extra as it was a very generous offering. Coffee was delicious. For lunch and dinner there were several superb restaurants within a couple blocks. La Famiglia across the street was great, a Chinese place another block down (across from train station) was amazing.

Very nice hotel, excellent location, close to train station, close to hop on hop off bus stop. Lots of restaurant around the area. Rooms were nicely appointed. Our family had two rooms with one main door aside from the individual doors so it feels that you are in a unit with two rooms. Staff were courteous. Breakfast buffet was excellent. Would stay here again.

We stayed here in April. Read some mixed reviews, so was a bit nervous. We needn't of worried. It was lovely. Max on reception was a great guy. Very pleasant and helpful. We had a room with three beds in so more than enough room for two. The bathroom was however snug. But had the bonus of a bath with shower. Much needed soak after all the walking! Hairdryer in bathroom did the job. No tea or coffee making facilities so if this is important to you, you'll need a travel kettle. You can drink the water in Rome which saved us a fortune in bottled water. One of our main worries was the location. It's around the corner from the termini and we'd heard it was dodgy on a night. It was fine. We rolled back one night after two and didnt see a soul. No worries. Location was within walking distance of every attraction. Breakfast was fine. You can pay extra for hot dishes but we didnt need to. Hope this helps anyone booking this hotel. We'd definitely stay here again.

Nice little hotel right in the centre of Rome close to the railway station and metro which we used a few times and a couple of mini markets right next to the hotel. There is a Co-op along the side of the Station which is really cheap if you want to stock up. The room is small but good enough for 2 people and has air conditioning . There is no kettle, so we brought our own travel kettle. Breakfast consisted of the usual contenetal fair. Staff are excellent and friendly. Close to everything you want to see in the capital, a trip to the Bioparc is a must. All in all a great base for a short trip.
