Comfortable budget hotel with really nice multilingual staff, who were very helpful and polite. This hotel is close to Termini Station (5 minutes). Our triple room was quite large with wardrobe, 3 single beds and a bathroom. The beds were reasonably comfortable and made up with white linen, blankets were available and were perfectly sufficient, beds were freshly made up every day. There was air con in the room which worked well and the window shutters were brilliant for keeping the room dark. We couldn't get the TV to work, but we didn't try that hard, we were on holiday after all! Telephone in the room. The bathroom was a little crowded with sink, bidet, shower and toilet but met our needs. The shower was very small but again, ample to get clean after a long day sightseeing. Breakfast was continental style with bread rolls and various spreads on offer along with cereal and fresh pastries, the coffee was lovely. Our bags were stored until late afternoon airport pick up, which was wonderful. For a no frills, hotel and given the price you pay, I don't think you could get better. There are no tea and coffee making facilities in the room but this wasn't an issue and there was only 1 plug. If I had to suggest an improvement I would possibly suggest a bolt for the bathroom door and closures on the room doors to help reduce any noise. Thank you Kennedy Hotel, you made our trip an absolute pleasure, if we return to Rome, we would definitely stay again :)

Arrived to a very friendly gentleman on the front the desk which was lovely as we had spent the day travelling from Germany.

All the rules were explained and we arrived to a nice, slightly basic but very clean room which was all I was looking for. The view from the room was lovely was room 116!

Room had shampoos and soap available and a good number of towels and extra pillows which was a bonus.

Breakfast was fairly basic but nice and tasty and helped you set up for the day. Staff were lovely and the man serving the coffee was also lovely and cheerful.

Location is absolutely ideal from the train station only 1 street away so makes it handy when arriving from the airport.

Will be staying here again if we return to Rome!

Room was great. Everything we needed. Brilliant air con when we needed a break from the high temperatures and sun.
Breakfast selection was good and they supplied a teapot of boiling water so we could make tea. However, there was no means of making tea any time throughout the day/ evening when in the room. No kettle / boiling water available.
Good location and 2 gorgeous trattoria restaurants on the the same block.

My room was clean (yes the walls had some scruff marks but it didn't detract from the room)
I had an amazing window that I could open and lean out of (it felt very Italian)
I was impressed with the number of towels I was given and they were a good size and wrapped around me properly.
Breakfast choices were limited but perfectly adequate and I never waited more than a minute or two for my coffee to be brought to me after I ordered.
Front desk staff were kind, helpful and they went to great lengths to ensure that I felt confident to follow the directions they gave.
Less than 5 minutes to the train / bus / or metro.
Lots of food value and tasty food options close by

I would return and already I have recommended this hotel.

It may not be 5 star but it is clean, safe, friendly and as a solo female traveller I felt safe.

Firstly, about the hotel, the worst breakfast at any hotel I have ever stayed in in my life, very noisy location, and we had a toilet that didn’t flush and the door to the bathroom didn’t lock. Good news, we had two rooms adjoining, which gave our teenage girls a little space from us as we had all been travelling together on a cruise the week prior. It is also a very close walk to the train station but be warned it felt very unsafe the worst graffiti I have seen anywhere worldwide and it is a filthy dump with rubbish in the streets everywhere it is among the worst locations I’ve ever seen and I have travelled worldwide and into some very poor areas. We spent a couple of nights in another part of Rome, a week or so later, and that was much safer and cleaner around the Trevi fountain.

There are no laundry facilities, the laundry nearby did not open for almost an hour. After their advertise time, the general, restaurants and amenities in the area are all felt very old, and broadly customer service was very poor. However, I am delighted to say the Dohrman who looked after us when we booked in, was the friendliest person we met during our time in Italy, what a star! I don’t know how he does it, but he was just a super friendly person. The day staff seemed very polite And officious also. Just unfortunately a very dated and rundown hotel, the carpet was so disgusting in the stairs, I could barely look at it.

Great spot for this hotel. Right beside the Termini station, easy for connecting anywhere in Italy and Rome.

Check in was easy, fast, and we paid the city tax right away. We were in the Annex. Dont worry about being in the Annex, is fine. They just bought a condo down the street and sub-divided it into 7 hotel rooms. All on the first floor. I saw into some other rooms when the maid was cleaning, and they all look the same as ours. Was newly done, all tiled floors, and clean. Lots of space in our room for 2 adults and a teen, wardrobe for clothes and a small TV. We didnt watch TV at all. Seriously people you are in Rome!!! Room was cleaned daily, and maid staff was respectful of our belongings. There is a blowdrier in the room, and a bar fridge. No phone in the hotel room, but we never needed to talk to the staff. Room was very quiet, our windows were right on the road facing Termini, and we were there one week, and never heard a peep from outside. The rooms have a double window for noise reduction and it works. The other hotel guests sharing our hallway were noisy at times closing their doors when they come in, but we were so tired from walking Rome daily was not a big deal. Airconditioner worked great. Minor complaint about the room is no shelf space in the bathroom, would be nice to have a few shelves installed to put stuff. However we just dragged over a nighttable and it did the job.

The street outside is a little rough, but this is the same all over Rome, Rome is unfortunately full of grafitti and litter. That is just how it is all over, is not that this is a bad area of town. But never felt unsafe at all coming in late at night or anytime thru the day.

Breakfast was ok, little uninspired but had all the basics. They had fresh fruit daily, and granola and yogurt, so i was able to cut up the fruit and make a great yogurt bowl every day!! Suggestion is to add hard boiled eggs and some peanut butter for protein and variety.

All in all a great hotel, very clean and quiet, and in a great spot to explore Rome from and easy transfers to and from airport, and we did a day trip to pompeii and Naples on our own out of Termini, super easy!! Would definitely stay again, and definitely recommend to others.

The location of the hotel which is near the termini station was nice but the streets around the hotel were a bit dirty and sketchy. The room was fine for a 3 star hotel although it was a bit old and beaten down it was fine, what was most annoying was the lack of noise cancelling in the rooms. You could hear everything the person in the room next to you was doing, and i mean everything. Also the ac in the bathroom was super loud. Staff was decent and nice. Never got around to trying the breakfast so cant comment on that.

When you get off the train at Terminii, the hotel is only a few steps outside the station side entrance.
Staff were well trained, super efficient and friendly.
My only gripe was I couldn't access wifi from my bed, I had to sit next to the bedroom door.
Nice view over the park.
Appreciated the chambermaid turned on my AC when I was out so room nice and cool on my return. That's the personal touch.
Hotel provides free bag storage unlike many cheap hotels in the area.
I'd definitely stay here again.

On 23th June 2023, I with my wife, my son (16) and my daughter (13), reached the Hotel Kennedy in Rome after 12 hrs of long and tiring day, from Venice, at around 21:00 hrs.

To our surprise, there was only one person (Mr. Maximus or whatever was his name) standing at the reception, with no help for our luggage (5 suitcases and 3 bags with us), maybe the culture there. To top it all, we were told that you are booked for only one double room (instead of two double rooms which we booked through our travel agent in India – Memorable Vacations). Then after almost half an hour of checking the details and other papers, he obliged us with another small room with a single bed, which he said is a small double bed.

Anyways, it was late and the kids were hungry, so we agreed and accepted whatever he offered and went to finally retire in our rooms with our luggage. Just while entering our room no. 132 (a double room), to our surprise the AC of the room was NOT working, and the other room and its bed was so small that only a single person can sleep on the bed. To this I had to go back to the reception and complaint both for the AC and for the other room bed. When the reception guy realized that he is now stuck, he started saying that the AC is fine, we get them checked everyday (to my surprise, he was denying the fact that the AC was NOT WORKING) and also that there are NO rooms available at their property as the property is fully booked, he also asked me to check other hotels, if required (Though he was continuously checking in guests at that hour also). This is at almost 23:00 hrs, where he wanted me to go and check other hotels with my family. To my surprise he also said, that kindly adjust for tonight and tomorrow he will be giving two very good rooms.

When he offered me “the two very good rooms tomorrow”, is when I realized that this is cheating done by the hotel, (it is like a compensation to the inconvenience caused), first from only one room booked to offering us a second very small room, with NO working AC in the double room.

All communication done by the person was false and to top it all, my son had to sleep on the floor of the small room given to us.

Do you guys think that a mere compensation of 2 very good rooms can fulfill the harassment caused to us on that night, when my family was tired and hungry and had a long tiring day, even after booking the rooms in advance, we were harassed to stay in one double room with NO WORKING AC and a very small second room, despite many requests.

I have all the documentary evidence along with the photos and videos of my conversation with the reception guy and videos of the rooms (a sample attached with this email).

I will make sure that this experience of ours go in the public domain and social media.

The accommodations were exactly as I hoped. The location is absolutely perfect. One of the main train terminals is about 300 steps from the front door of the hotel. There is a train that runs directly to and from FCO airport. Food and shopping as well as sightseeing within walking distance in a safe environment. The staff are some of the friendliest, most helpful people you could ask for. Continental breakfast with many options. Sitting areas, vending machines for late night snacks. The rates are very reasonable and I will definitely be staying here on my next trip to Rome.
