This hotel used to be called the Venetia Place Hotel, and that is what it was called when we stayed there in January 2018. We were a group of 13 ladies, and the location of this hotel can't be beat. We arrived earlier than the allowed check in time, but they allowed us to check in and they stored our luggage for us so we could go get a bite to eat. The staff was a little curt, but I just chalked it up to them being European. There are a lot of little family owned restaurants around the corner and the Termini train station is within eye sight. I think it takes less than 4 minutes to get to the station from the hotel. There is also a little bodega on the way, so you can grab a bottle of water or a snack to carry with you when you're out and about. They have a bar in the hotel but it's pretty tiny. Prices are average for a hotel bar. I had two problems with our room, and that is why I didn't give this hotel 5 stars. There was a terrible smell coming from the shower drain whenever we used it. I didn't notice it when I was just in there getting ready, but while water was going down the drain it was awful. Also, the door to the bathroom was made of glass. Luckily I was sharing the room with my sister, but glass doesn't hold any sounds in so it would have been very uncomfortable with just a friend. Other than that, the room was a good size and the bed was comfortable. Lastly, they do collect a city tax when you check out. You have to pay it in cash, so make sure you save that amount of Euros for the end of your trip.

We had a double room and it was the perfect size. The bed was very comfortable and the air-con/heating worked great. One thing I will say is the air-con/heating goes off when you open the window (which was not a problem, but something to be aware of). Our room had a toilet and sink with a door, and then the bath was separate, around the other side of the room, with jacuzzi bubbles which was such a nice surprise. Service in the hotel was amazing, staff were very friendly and the cleaning service daily was outstanding, as no matter what time we left the room as long as we left the “please clean the room” sign outside, the room was spotless upon return. It’s in a nice location, close enough to the sights but far enough away to not be overcharged for food/drinks. Right next to Termini station. Overall, a great hotel!

Only stayed for one night, so chose the basic room which was a tight fit, but was modern and had everything we needed. Looked like the room and hotel had been recently renovated. If staying for longer, I would upgrade to a larger room. The basic room had the bathroom right near one side of the bed with a see-through wall, so if you are not traveling with someone you are close with, there is no privacy. Also, the bathroom was a tight-squeeze, so if someone were 6"feet or taller, their knees would touch the wall when doing their business.

Staff was friendly and spoke basic English. My only disappointment was that after our 10 hour flight, when arriving at the hotel we had to wait until 1:00 to check in. There was storage for our bags and a bathroom to clean-up in, so we were able to leave for touring, and upon return, the room was ready.

Breakfast was served by staff due to covid, and was an adequate assortment of scrambled eggs, bacon, breads, fresh fruit, meat and yogurt. Remote control was covered in plastic, so I felt the hotel was being cleaned properly due to covid.

Felt the area was safe and quiet, and a 5 minute walk to the station. Good value for what we paid, which included breakfast. Would recommend and would stay again when we return to Rome.

I stayed at this hotel for 4nights, and it was during the pandemic. The breakfast was not like the pictures and was very limited. Every morning I had only a few choices and the worse part, I should ask a lady to give me the food- I wasn’t allowed to pick up what I want- and every time I had to choose whether I want one bread, ham, and... or two pieces, which made me very uncomfortable. Despite that, she wasn’t available all the time. I had to wait two minutes till she shows up again for my orders.
The housekeeper of the hotel cleaned my room every day, which I was very satisfied with that; however, the last time she cleaned the room, she didn’t charge the shower gel, soap, and shampoo. Even though I informed the receptionist, they just brought me the soup that I needed the most.
All in all, what I can say about this hotel is it was an average hotel with several simple mistakes. I hope they consider these points for other guests.

Dear Mina, thank you for taking the time to leave a review for us. We take this opportunity to inform you that as per DPCM, in this period of pandemia it is not possible to have a self-service buffet breakfast, we must follow the guide lines in force to protect the health of our guests. By respecting the rules we are guaranteeing table service while maintaining the same variety and quality of products, it is therefore possible to ask the waitress for any extra portion without feeling in difficulty; this is a rule adopted in all hotels in this period. Regarding the so-called forgetfulness to replace the courtesy products on the last day, very doubtful to us since is a daily routine, certainly we do not save on this products, could be requested in addition for any personal need, even more explicitly at the reception. However, your review will help to clarify that the organization of facilities during a pandemia may be slightly different, but that doesn't stop our desire to succeed and overpass in safety. Best regards, Claudia Front Office Manager

After our cruise we needed a hotel near Termini Station before our flight home the following day. We booked through Delta airlines. I think Delta uses Expedia. We were able to get off the ship and get into Rome faster than expected and we arrived early and obviously our room wasn’t ready. We talked with Stefano, the front desk agent. He was fully bilingual in Italian and English. The guy was a complete professional focused on great customer service. He explained that it would be awhile before our room was ready but he could check our baggage and we were welcome to go to lunch or wait in the lobby. The lobby was great. It had very comfortable chairs, air conditioning, flavored water, clean restrooms , outlets to charge our electronics and free Wi Fi. Stefano was able to get us rooms about an hour before the official check in time. We prepaid for breakfast next morning and it was excellent. Lots of choices. Very tasty. The staff working in the breakfast area kept the buffet very fresh. After breakfast when we were checking out Stefano informed us that there was a surprise taxi drivers strike in Rome that morning. We were in a bad situation. We didn’t want to take the train to the airport because of our excessively heavy baggage. We learned that lesson the hard way. Stefano got on the phone and arranged a van to pick us up at the hotel and take us to the airport and for a lower price. What a deal. We made it to the airport in plenty of time. The hotel has a small bar, a gym and a jacuzzi. We didn’t get the opportunity to take advantage of these as we were only there for one night. If you are looking for a hotel in the Termini area of Rome I strongly recommend the Leonardo Boutique Hotel and say hello to Stefano. He’ll take good care of you. We were traveling as a family and things were great but the hotel really caters to couples.

Very good, Four star hotel, located on close walking distance to Termini station.

Very attentive personnel, helpful in all matters. Fast check in.

Nice, but small rooms. Rooms have wooden floor, which is great, and good for allergic persons. A bit slamming door noise. Fairly quiet, around the hotel. New, comfortable, relatively high, hard beds with good pillows. Rooms are kept clean.

A bit splashy bathroom. Bathroom is not soundproof, due to glass door. Send your spouse to the bar for a drink when you need privacy. Soap bowl missing. Fine selection of bathroom items, as soap, bath gel, shampoo with conditioner, and body lotion. Enough numbers of towels. Bathrobe free of charge on request.

Breakfast is fine, and well maintained.

It is not really a boutique hotel, just because of placing a few designer items in the, rather small, lobby, and public areas, however, Leonardo hotels is a fine operator.

We stayed at this boutique hotel for a few days. It was ideally located near the Roma Termini and from the location we were able to walk to & from the main & other tourist sites. Breakfast was good with options and indoor or outdoor seating. The room was very clean and well maintained while we were there. The management & all staff were extremely helpful & friendly. Would definitely stay there again. Just one little thing maybe a sweep up of the area outside the main door would help with the overall appearance of the hotel.

Really liked this hotel and I’m fussy when it comes to hotels. Room was small, I expected that, but it was well laid out. It was clean, bright and modern. I found the bed comfortable and slept very well, which is rare for me. The room was quiet, which was just perfect. I’d asked for a quiet room on booking, so thank you to the hotel for sorting that. The location was great, very very close to Termini, restaurants around the hotel had much better food and much cheaper prices than in the old town. It is quite a walk to the sights, maybe 25 mins to Trevi fountain and an hour to the Vatican, which may bother some. Not sure if all rooms have this but we had a sunken bath which may be tricky for anyone with mobility issues. Great stay at a great price, hope we come back.

Having just returned from staying at this hotel for 5 nights, I can confidently say that it simply doesn’t do enough to justify its prices or average rating. On our first morning we received a wake-up call at 6:30am that we had not requested. The staff were not particularly apologetic and couldn’t explain why / when / who had asked them to make this call.
The breakfast was pretty good to be fair but the ‘hot food’ was always cold - not sure if this is just how it’s done but cold mushrooms / eggs aren’t great.
The room was nice enough but was not internally sound proofed at all, we could clearly hear when upstairs/next door were talking, flushing the toilet, showering or using the tap. The windows did a good job of cancelling out noise from the street though.
Overall I would recommend staying elsewhere as this hotel offers nothing more than a premier inn / travel-lodge do but is more expensive.

Dear Max, Thanks for sharing your experience with us. We acknowledge your complaint about the unsolicited wake-up call, we are sorry for what happened and we renew our apologies. The night porter was unfortunately unable to investigate this issue as a wake up call was requested for that room number and at that time. One possibility could be that the requesting person gave us the wrong room number. Regarding your accommodation, whatever the inconvenience of your room may have been, during your stay you could notify the reception and a solution could be found by changing your room immediately. Our staff is always available and ready to satisfy any guest's request, but it is important to be informed in time. We wish you many good experiences in the future. Kind regards, Claudia
