Old school vibe from the very beginning is the only way to describe the Esquilino neighbourhood. The Esquilino takes pride in being one of the oldest areas in Rome for its key location on one of the city’s famous seven hills. From an ancient neighbourhood to its modern incarnation as a multicultural hub, Esquilino always has something going on—polyglot vendors debate street artists while kids play pick-up basketball games. Look around you: this area isn’t like the historic centre. Liberty architecture, large piazzas, and long boulevards mix with archaic arches, secret side alleys, and beautiful churches like Santa Maria Maggiore.

10 minute walk from Termini, made getting there easy, was told breakfast included on check in, next morning told it was not included. Paid €10 euros each to get breakfast, which was a half hearted buffet. Staff were very stoic and dismissive, unsure if because we're English

Dear Guest, Thank you for being our guest and for taking the time to review your recent stay with us on Tripadvisor. We are happy you enjoyed the comfort of our bed and also the cleanliness of the room. However we would like to apologize if the front office staff did not satisfy your expectations and they did not properly welcome you. We are sorry if you received incorrect information about the breakfast at check in, but from our daily checks it really turned out that breakfast was not included in your reservation. We hope we can have a second chance to host you again in the near future to give us the opportunity to arrange the warmest and most special of welcomes; otherwise The Hive hotel, part of our company group, will be at your disposal whenever your travels bring you back here in Rome. Best Regards, Graziella M. Marketing Manager Best Regards, Graziella M.

The hotel is average but centrally located, breakfast is good and the staff on the reception is helpful. I find the rooms a little cramped and thus would not recommend if u have a big build. We are both tall and the rooms are like train coupe where in you cannot fit in your legs

Great hotel with great location and amazing staff specially george. We spent one night at this hotel and we got an upgrade 💃💃. The hotel has the best massaging beds that are very useful after a long day in rome. Highly recommended.

I stayed in a double room, not king-sized but comfortable and enough. The breakfast was a buffet and consisted of scrambled and boiled egg, cheese, creme, jam, Nutella, butter, sausage, hams, awesome fresh bread and cakes, coffee machine, tea bags, two types of juice, milk, cereal, fruit salad and so on. All in all, it was a decent breakfast to start a busy day with.

There is a train from the airport to the main train station in rome. The hotel is only a few blocks, an easy walk from the train station. We also took the train to Venice, which was very comfortable and easy. They do not providefree bottles of water so we purchased ours.

The room has a heater. Rome can get cold. Meals can be cheap or expensive. One pizza could feed a family. No more than three days in Rome. You don't need to book tours. You can book when you get there. Public trains and busses are two blocks away.
