La Rambla
Barcelona's most famous street was once a dry riverbed. Now, La Rambla is a 1200-metre boulevard, and a major draw for visitors. During the day, La Rambla fills with pedestrians, some of which stroll past impressive human statues and artists while others take a break to people-watch while enjoying a drink at one of the many terraces. Housed here is the iconic Boqueria Market that offers one of the most varied and appetising selections of local produce and specialty meats and treats. While it’s important for tourists to keep an eye on their belongings at all times, this area is most safely explored in the daytime and is a must see for everyone who visits.

We stayed at 1898 in Jan 2019. The hotel is very well appointed. The rooms are spacious and the beds divine. Very clean. Great, friendly service. The only downside is metro noise. We were on the front (overlooking Rambla) 4th floor and could hear it clearly. I don't know how. If

Beautiful hotel with very helpful staff that are friendly. Enjoyed the great breakfast buffet daily. You are located in the heart of the city, but stepping inside takes you away to a much quieter place.

Hi. Our room was very spacious. It was about two levels abode the basic interior room. And I believe they could accommodate wheelchairs. Please double check with the hotel though. Some issues you may encounter are with the elevators which are quite small when compared to the US. Also. The Rambla sidewalks were not particularly wheel chair friendly due to construction and the number of people. Traveling on the center median would be your best option. I hope this helps.

We were travelling with our autistic son, who is an adult & able to be in a room on his own, but for peace of mind had requested a triple room. We booked through a travel agent for a flight & hotel package & unfortunately we were told there wasn't one available. They were able however to provide to double rooms next to each other (one having to pay a single supplement) which is what we went for & this worked out fine. I did see one family with teenage children in the pool but not sure of their room set up. Hope this helps.
