Mi esposo y yo nos quedamos en el hotel por tres noches. Al final, fue una experiencia más o menos, no me quedaré aquí de nuevo.
I stayed with my partner for 3 nights at this hotel. Overall it was an average experience and I would not stay here again.
Pros: very kind & helpful staff, well air conditioned lobby, located in a quiet neighborhood away from most tourist traps (my favorite part is the location!), close to busses and the metro, complimentary liter of water.
Pro: our queen sized room was very spacious. we had two large windows, a couch, desk, table & lots of space to relax. The bathroom was large enough to fit my partner and I comfortably, it has a removable shower head, it’s spacious & the towels are very large!
Con: you must confirm you know how to work the air conditioning in the bedroom, even after receiving assistance the room was not comfortably cool.
Con: This hotel “looks” modern and fresh but it is evident the upgrades were cheaply done (plastic ceiling covers, door frames, etc.) This did not matter to us because we do not care how the hotel looks as long as we can sleep & exist comfortably - but that did not happen. Bathroom: The shower head was not secured to the wall so we could only use the removable shower head in our hands. I did report this to the reception but it was not fixed by the end of our stay. The shower and the sink could use more attention to detail with cleaning small crevices on the shower window and the bathroom sink but it was clean enough. Our hand towels had two small stains on each.
Con: the mattress was extra firm and the pillows were very uncomfortable. We both had neck pains after each night of sleep & I normally don’t use pillows so even more of a reason not to use the ones at this hotel.

We stayed 6 days in mid-February and carefully chose hotels close to the center and with breakfast. We chose this one and we didn't regret it. As people who used to live in Barcelona for many years, we were pleased to see that the quality of the Catalan/Spanish food had not changed and we could enjoy the pleasant touch of the food with our stomachs at breakfast.

We enjoyed our stay at this hotel. Room was spacious. Temperature in the room hard to control, on the hot side but we would rather that way than cold. Everything was COVID clean. All personal friendly and helpful especially at breakfast where they accommodated my partners request for lactose free milk. Breakfast overall is superb, extensive choice and so well presented. Fresh juices, pastries, cold meats as well as hot options all delicious that set us up for the day. Location was 20-30 minutes from centre but as we like walking it was not a problem for us. We would definitely stay here again. Thank you!

Overall the hotel decor is nice, the rooms are clean and the beds are comfy. There are no complimentary teas/coffees you have to pay for them in your room which I think is a bit off.
Majority of the staff are nice apart from ‘Victor’ who was on reception when we left, he stated we owed €57 euros for tax which everyone was happy to pay, he was huffing and puffing giving me dirty looks and had no patience whatsoever, he has really let the hotel down as he was so rude and had no customer service whatsoever. I personally wouldn’t put him on reception if he acts like that. I then got home to the UK and was charged another €45 euros on my card which I think is unfair when we was willing to pay the tax, it was obviously his fault for processing it wrong.
The location is out the way of the bars and restaurants, so if you are looking to book for hen and stag dos just be mindful you have to get a taxi everywhere and it’s very residential the location.

The hotel itself is nice . The rooms are lovely . No doubt about that . But and a big but for me .They don’t offer tea in the rooms just coffee !
The restaurant only offers tea until midday then they don’t offer tea or coffee at all . You need to get it outside the hotel or drink the free coffee in your room .
So I guess it’s ok for coffee drinkers but not tea !

The view was good, and the staff were pleasant and helpful. The room was large and comfortable, and the bedding was excellent. The hygiene standards were also very high, and I felt very safe and comfortable during my stay. Overall, I had a great experience at this hotel and would highly recommend it to anyone looking for a good place to stay in Barcelona.

I was at the Mariano Cubi for 3 nights. The location is great, and you can walk to the Diagonal and Casa Mila in a few minutes. The room was a double with a small balcony. Quite spacious. The microwave was old and small but everything worked ok. The bathroom has one major drawback - the door is translucent, so at night, if someone uses the bathroom, the room is engulfed in light :) Still on the bathroom - the shower is inside a dent or something so it's quite dark in there. Bed was not very comfortable and the pillows were pretty bad. The major issue with the hotel, however, is that on the day I arrived the AC was not working in the room. We were told it would be fixed the following day and, at the late our, our best option would be to just sweat ourselves out tonight that tomorrow it would be all right. The following day I asked for a different room. They told me all rooms were with the same problem but that they were fixing it. We returned at night to again find the AC not working. I have a friend that was staying at the hotel and the following day I asked him about the AC and he told me his was working fine. They offered me complimentary breakfast to compensate for having to sleep in a sauna, which I refused. I hope if you choose to stay you have a less eventful stay

A very centrally located hotel with a terrific breakfast and decent rooms. The check-in was not very pleasant but that was an aberration as the rest of the front office and restaurant staff were polite but not particularly warm. The AC in the room was effective but could have been less noisy. The hotel itself was quiet and peaceful and one could get a good night's rest. Great place to stay for tourists like us.

Very NOISY!!! We were in room 112 facing the street, and although looks like a little back st, it is extremely noisy with traffic and noisy people all night. The windows need to be sound proofed! We had the most restless sleep because of this. The beds are hard. Room is spacious but alot of wasted room. Bathroom modern but shower could be better. Good location to shops. But I would never stay here again!!!!

The hotel is well situated for people willing to walk. It has all the amenities as advertised. Good and convenient parking is available. The cafe provides tasty light meals. Rooms are spacious but in need of attention and repair. We were given a room where the heating did not work. Then moved to a room where the shower was seriously faulty and the toilet did not flush properly.
