It was my second visit to Barcelona and I repeat my choice of hotel. Great location in Eixample. Near 2 Metro stations, so very easy to move around and connect to the airport. A very comfy bed. Facilities excellent. I don't try the breakfast. Cleanliness and staff up to the standard of a 4 star hotel.

Nice hotel near centre of the Barcelona. With comfortable rooms and excellent and authentic spanish breakfast. Hotel staff was perfectly professional and very kind. The pool at the roof of the hotel was amazing pleasure of all our holiday time.

This place was HORRIBLE. We couldn’t wait to get out. I don’t know why this place is four star-rated. I have stayed at roadside motels that provided a more comfortable experience. The location is mediocre at best. The neighborhood is dreary. The view from our window was reminiscent of “Westside Story” — the backs of old, tired apartment buildings with laundry hanging from the balconies. It was over 100° outside every day and they couldn’t get the air conditioning to make it comfortable inside our room. When we complained, the staff told us that it took about a half an hour for the room to cool down every time we returned from being out. This was because the key card had to be removed each time as we left (to save them money on electricity in our room), so the a/c only started again once we put the card back in on our return. And, even when we had been there for over a half an hour, the lowest temperature it would go to was 19°C, which wasn’t nearly enough to keep up with the intense heat coming into the room. We called the front desk three times and they didn’t care— they just said that was how the system was designed to work. We were miserable and had a very hard time trying to sleep. The towels felt like sandpaper, and were inconsistently delivered. One of the elevators didn’t work the whole time we were there. (The one that did work once stopped lower than the floor outside the elevator, and my son tripped on the lip of the floor as he got out.) The minibar fridge didn’t keep things cold (and was actually unplugged- though loaded with items - when we arrived). Many other things didn’t work in the room, and the staff didn’t seem to care. They would send people to “help“ who didn’t know what the heck they were doing. The front desk staff was not helpful at all, nor even very friendly. I would NOT recommend this hotel to anyone.…

Didn’t like this place at all. This is obviously all my opinion so that’s all I can provide. Room decor was depressing. The breakfast was disappointing. Pool area was disappointing. Very expensive drinks at the bar. I thought this might have been a little luxury but it was rubbish. Wouldn’t stay here again.

We stayed at the NH Podium for 7nights abs it was fantastic. We had a quadruple room on the 4th floor which was huge and very quiet. The sofa bed was big and comfortable and we had to two toilets, a large shower and separate bath. We ate breakfast twice in the hotel and it was excellent with plenty choice and very fresh. Our room was a good temperature although I’m not sure how good the air con is in the height of summer. It was also very quiet so a good sleep. We used the pool and pool bar on the roof everyday, staff were very friendly and helpful and it wasn’t too busy most of the time, however we did have a large group of young English people on our last couple days who were very loud with some choice language. It’s really not that kind of place. The hotel is perfectly located close to the Arc De Triomph and we walked most places. We also ate and drank locally, excellent Chinese in the next street, Firebug and Spaccanapoli were also very good. I would definitely recommend this hotel and will stay here again.…

I would really recommend this hotel. I’ve just come back from a trip with friends and we stayed here for 3 nights. We had booked a family room for the four of us but they kindly upgraded us to two connecting rooms ( two bathrooms and extra space!) The staff ( particularly Raul on reception ) could not be more helpful. We had one problem that was dealt with very swiftly. The rooftop pool and bar is a pleasant place to relax, with excellent cocktails and food served by the bartenders Sebastian and David. Great location, close to the centre but in a quiet street unaffected by noise. I shall return again with my family

We stayed at this hotel for 6 nights and it definitely rates as one of the best hotels we have stayed at in Barcelona. The hotel was exceptionally clean and - unusually for Barcelona - the clever room design with an interior door means you can sleep noise free! The hotel is very well located, right next to Arc d’Triumph and a short work from the central shopping area. The rooftop pool bar area is also an excellent addition in the city and a nice space to unwind in before heading out in the evening. Room service was great. The only downside was the pillows - extremely uncomfortable, and the check out service was very poor. But the service was great the rest of the time.

We had a great time at NH Podium! The rooms were very good and the staff was very helpful and friendly. We arrived at 2:00 am from the airport and we had one person. more than booked. The reception managed to give us a room fro 3 instead of 2, although the hotel was full. The room was a bit noisy, on the upper floor, underneath the pool and, in the next day, Cecilia gave us a new one in a very silent part o the Hotel. All the staff were great but Cecilia was tireless in helping us all our stay. We will certainly come back!

Lovely rooms, we had a little balcony - big bathrooms with large shower. Reception organised tickets for excursions and everything was clean. Great location and plenty of taxis outside to get around. Roof pool will be lovely when weather is warmer.
