Wonderful location. Stayed in the largest room -- the corner suite with terrace. LOVED the terrace. It is very large and has a table and 2 chairs, couch and two additional cushy chairs for sitting. It is quite private and quiet. There is shade and sun at almost all times of the day. The door to the terrace can be left open for some air too. Also the entire wall facing the Arc area is windows and three windows open. There is NOT much of a view from this room, but it is better than most in the hotel. The street noise was ongoing into the wee hours (4-5 am) so be aware. Mostly people talking at the popular REC Comtal cafe just off the Arc area so you might need earplugs to sleep if you are sensitive to noise. No loud music though. I use Bose Sleep Buds and LOVE them. The breakfast is good but basic with a couple hot items and cold stuff with fresh fruit etc. The baked goods are always FRESH. The pool is super crowded in the evening so I never used it. The ONLY bad thing about this hotel is the lack of refrigerators in the rooms. I would have thought the suite at least would have one, but nope... They also have no room service, but you don't need it given the abundance of excellent places to eat just a few feet from the hotel. No ice buckets or ice machines (but that is a European thing anyway -- Americans love ice!) You can get ice from the bar if you need it. They have very basic vending machines on each floor for coffee and water etc. I stayed 5 nights. Would stay here again!

Hotel's Favourite
I stayed here 3 nights during a holiday in Spain. Absolutely loved this place. It's very trendy and my room was modern, clean with a comfy bed and all amenities provided. The rooftop pool is nice to cool down and the views are amazing. The location is very good because you are a short walk away of the old city and the metro is 2 minutes away. Breakfast was good with a good choice of bread, juices, cereals, eggs, fruit, ... . I would go back for sure!

Modern, quirky hotel in excellent location. Rooms very compact but well designed. Bright and airy with good shower but suggest 2 people would find it uncomfortable to stay for more than just a few days.Staff very friendly and efficient and breakfast was good by Spanish hotel standards. Lots of excellent bars and restaurants in surrounding area.

It is a really nice hotel, excellent location, the breakfast and the lounge where they serv it are GREAT. Still, they have a sweage system problem, I guess it is possible to be an area issue, due to the old sweage systems.

The hotel is in a great location and has a great vibe. The staff is also wonderful...every single person we dealt with was helpful, friendly and nice. We really appreciated that. The negatives are that the blackout curtain does not close all the way so that exposed part let in a ton of light and woke us up at 5am or so. A mini fridge would have been great. A bottle of water would have been nice too. Wifi was excellent. A smart TV where you enter your Netflix code would be good, though. The pool felt like a joke. It looked much bigger in the photos but it's tiny and you can't swim. I was disappointed about this. It's really a dipping pool rather than a swimming pool. Otherwise, we enjoyed our stay. The hotel is pretty and the bed was confortable. We loved that it is adults only but these rooms are really for couples, which we were so we had no issue with it, but if you are just friends, the shower is completely visible from the room. The AC worked perfectly and there are tons of good restaurants in the area. We enjoyed it and loved Barcelona.

This hotel has a very good location. For me the best part was the terrace-lounge. It is a good place to chill out or to work (remotely). the pool can be a good idea to refresh in the hot humid Barcelona during summer time. I do think it is a bit too pricey, the room is very simple, it has a green sustainable policy so it was very simple. The room has the basic toiletries. I would recommend you bring your own preferred items. You can also ask for other toiletries at the front desk. No fridge in the rooms.

I love El Born area. The room didn't have a fridge or minibar and the reception seemed a bit disorganized. Pool area is okay but it's quite small, both terrace and pool. Half of their lockers were broken.

Really nice experience. Would say it was a mid-tier cost of a hotel but the standard was really nice. We had a super king size and there was everything you need. Rooftop pool was amazing when it was too hot and the bar was chilled just expensive. Very clean, very tidy. Lovely staff and someone on reception 24/7.

Came down on a family vacation and enjoyed ourselves! The Rec Squad has activities for the whole family! No one was left out which was great. The prizes to the games were perfect for our stay. I will say their time at the resort was too short. They have to come back!

Awesome hotel which has everything. Walking distance to Sagrada Familia or Barceloneta Beach and many other attractions. If you don't want to walk metro is a block away and taxi's are cheap. Roof top lounge and pool area are nice and breakfast buffet had very good selection. Staff was all very friendly and helpful with good english. Room had a safe but was missing a fridge. Great stay, thank you Rec.
