Old, worn, furniture and carpet in room. No bar or cafeteria. No coffee!!!! Half an hour wait for towels. Food at dinner - very poor quality and cold - school canteen standard. We spent around 300€ on one night in a family room (with buffet dinner and parking) and could have done so much better. Coivid precautions seem to be an excuse to reduce service while maintaining prices at the level of what used to be a good hotel.

Beware! Hotel Closed during my booking. Hotel refused to give me refund. I paid an extremely high rate since the Euro Soccer games scheduled but since moved. I also could not travel to Spain because of restrictions. All other hotels and airlines gave me a full refund. I paid for a service they did not provide. Which in my opinion amounts to theft.

The lobby of the hotel very impress, and the location very good, Guggenheim Museum with all park around in very short distance, easy way to travel to the old city. The parking arround is issue, but becaus of our Melia Rewards the reception givev us special offer about the hotel parking. We book room with veranda, on the last floor, amazing view to the city. But the rooms need emergency renovation, the ferniture was old and visuale not in good condition, tottaly not like Melia have it usual. The bathroom very larg and nice like allmost all Melia, and with very good shower. The breakfast good, but not the usual Melia breakfast, my be becaus of covid, but again we expect more. What i like more is the swimming pool, also with city view

This was a very comfortable stay - my room was large with a great view over the river and the situation close to the Guggenheim is excellent. Breakfast was good and staff were very helpful. Our only negatives were the car park which is a nightmare to get into and out of - extremely steep exit, columns restricting descent and ascent and annoying key control at exit and the lack of a bar offerring a light snack. There is a full restaurant and a lounge where there is a bar and buffet, but we were told we could not use this as we had not booked half board.

We stayed here for 10 days holiday. The reception and staff is very kind and helpful. The first room we had was unfortunately not a 5* hotel worth. Next day I went to the staff and told them our first experience. Immediately the Guest Experience Manager came to us and she arranged a new room for us which was excellent and made our stay comfortable. Though a couple of facilities in the hotel were closed due to Covid-19, the staff did their best in providing tips for a nice stay. The breakfast in the morning was very nice with a staff that fully understands how to organize a decent breakfast. No rush, no dirty tables, no short of food or drinks. Everything was arranged as it should be! Hotel is located near the center of Bilbao at walking distance.
