The Boutique Hotel Casa del Poeta is and fine decorative features. A testament to former glories, it retains the traditional style of an authentic Sevillian mansion. The typical architecture of this type of building featured a central patio with a fountain which was the focal point of the house, and was surrounded by the various different residential areas and rooms. The Boutique Hotel has eighteen rooms and is ideal for visitors seeking a peaceful stay with personalised attention, in a luxurious and unique environment.

Combine exquisite Andalusian style architecture, warm colors, arches and balconies, a fern filled courtyard, incredible personal service, and breakfasts fit for a king (included), and what is left to dislike?! Nada! Oh, and add in the nightly guitarist at 7:30, during whose performance you can order wine or a cocktail (extra charge). The hotel is one of the many that are hidden in the warren of tangled streets in the old town, so you must drag your luggage about 3 blocks over cobblestones. But someone on their staff helped with that both arriving and departing. Our room was a deluxe double, which had plenty of closet space, a couple of small chairs, and a small but nicely outfitted bathroom. The mattress was fine, and the bedding and pillows typically European (in other words, rather strange to us Americans). But just fine for our four night stay. We were on the 3rd floor, with an inside balcony just outside the room - well, all the rooms - that looked down onto the central courtyard. There, tables for 2 or 4 were set up either for being served our wonderful breakfasts (by servers in white and black), or for later enjoying the guitar player or just having drinks. A helpful young man waited on us in the evenings, and the atmosphere and his professionalism were the same as if we were having pre dinner drinks in a fine restaurant. We can see why this hotel is rated so highly. It is really special. The location is also special, close to the cathedral, a lesser known park, and many restaurants. If you need anything extra done for you, their staff is only too helpful to oblige.

What can I say ! What a fantastic hotel, all of the staff are so friendly from check in to breakfast staff and housekeeping and a special mention to our drinks waiter every night Javier what a lovely human being. The hotel is so central and very comfortable with amazing breakfast and a brilliant musician every night in the lobby. We hope to come back soon.

Cute little hotel right in the middle of the old town, with easy access to all the major attraction. We were a group of friends on a long weekend to Seville, all enjoying our stay here, especially a warm welcome with a glass of wine served in a beautiful courtyard. Staff were all very friendly and helpful with suggestions for the sightseeing. Breakfast was delicious, consisting of fresh fruit, juices and cakes, and hot and cold dishes. Most of the rooms face the courtyard. Ours was on the second floor and benefited from good amount of natural light. The room itself was clean, good size, with plenty of storage space. There is a rooftop terrace with sun loungers and great views of the city. Would highly recommend. We stayed in November, so it’s worth checking the reviews from more recent visits.

That may sound over-the-top but the combination of exquisite design, real comfort, great food and truly warm and wonderful service scores over anywhere I can think of! We stayed in one of the apartments which gave the two of us a double room and bathroom each, instead of sharing a twin as we would normally do. The cost compared quite favourably with the regular room charges when taking into account the fact that we also had a large and elegant sitting room plus a small kitchen at our disposal. About 200 metres from the hotel and in a wider street, it was also flooded with light compared with the hotel rooms which generally only have windows overlooking the internal courtyard or narrow alleys. For a five night stay it gave us a much greater sense of really living in the city in a temporary home. Yet all the facilities of the hotel, like the roof terrace were available to us, as and when we wanted. And despite the separation from the main building, the staff were every bit as attentive to our needs in the apartment as they would have been had we been just upstairs from reception. Indeed it was that quality of service that really set the hotel apart. For instance, we had problems with the wifi in the apartment which they couldn’t immediately fix on a Saturday night/Sunday, but as soon as an engineer could be summoned on the Monday they didn’t just “tinker”, they installed a whole new router system for the building where the 3 apartments are. How many would do that? The receptionists also spent ages patiently helping us find the sort of restaurants that we like for some of our meals. Exceptional all round. Breakfast we took in the hotel dining room (sadly too cold for the inviting courtyard) and the quality of every element was just outstanding. They serve superb juice and a brilliant fruit platter as soon as you sit down, plus toast and coffee, while everything else is set out on a small but opulent buffet. Too many lovely things to do justice to everything, but the wow, the ham!!! Evening aperos in the courtyard while a guitarist played were also memorable… We’ll be back!!

As other reviewers have mentioned it is worthy of a 5 star hotel. We prefer small boutique hotels for their service and personalized experience. Casa del Poeta far exceeded our expectations. After the taxi stopped at a nearby restaurant we followed him down tiny wonderful streets to a dead end where the hotel is located. They greeted us with a bottle of cava and cheese and jamon. They also facilitated flowers and a wonderful tasting at a restaurant for our anniversary. The staff was extremely helpful and gracious. I will highly recommend to anyone visiting Seville. We will stay here again.

This is a wonderful hotel, very romantic and calm in a historical building with a beautiful patio. The service is worthy a five star hotel. Everyone from the reception staff to the cleaning ladies were really friendly. Breakfast is seated and a real treat. Welcome drinks in the patio was a nice and generous surprise. Rooms and beds really cosy and comfortable even though we had booked standard rooms. Location is perfect. We will certainly come back.

This is a beautiful hotel! My family just kept on taking pictures in the patio because it was just so gorgeous and relaxing. The staff were all so helpful - making restaurant reservations for us and offering to arrange taxis. Breakfast was delicious and service was excellent. I just wished that the hotel had a restaurant. Seville’s Sta Cruz district can be very crowded and I think many people would like to sit down to a quiet dinner in a beautiful patio. It’s location is also excellent. There is so much energy in the Sta Cruz district. Numerous restaurants and quaint shops. All the important monuments are easily accessible by foot. We stayed in a suite and it was beautiful and comfortable. We had been in Seville before and stayed in a hotel near the shopping district. But staying in Casa del Poeta made us feel we were really in old Seville.

Everything about this hotel is a delight. It's located down a short alley in the old quarter, and from the moment you walk in through an old door, past antique sculpture and vases of lilies, into a courtyard lush with ferns and palms, it's magical. Wonderful, helpful staff (ask them for recommended restaurants, the two we went to were outstanding). Very comfortable, quiet room with balcony (not such good reading lights however). Delicious breakfast in the courtyard. Classical live guitar music every evening. There is a rooftop garden with a view of Seville's cathedral.

Room Tip: Rooms at the back are quieter, but as an old building all rooms are pretty well insulated.

We stayed at the Hotel Casa del Poeta for 3 nights. It was absolutely fabulous. We had had a dreadful journey to Seville and we were met by Jessica at reception. She was amazing. We sat with a glass of cold beer in the quiet of the little internal garden/square. Jessica booked a table for us at a local restaurant (we had arrived very late) and spent time to explain the best places to visit in Seville. It was a lovely end to what had been a difficult day. Our room was beautiful, the shower was amazing, lots of hot water and great water pressure. We didn't eat in the hotel, but breakfast looked great. We had a couple of drinks in the evening in the hotel. It was a lovely place to enjoy a relaxing drink, so quiet and peaceful. There is a lovely terrace at the top of the hotel, with a view of the Cathedral. Access to the hotel is via a little door, off a tiny side street. The hotel is in a great location. We loved it! Our luggage had been lost by the airline and hasn't yet been found. The staff at the hotel were beyond helpful with this and contacted the airline on several occasions. A big thank you to Jessica and the lady on reception on the 27th March in the morning. Sorry I forgot to ask for your name. We really appreciated all the help. Seville is fantastic, lively, busy and friendly. We hope to return to Seville and would definitely stay at this hotel again. Thank you to all the staff at the hotel.

Stayed here for 2 nights on a short weekend break. Just a stunning , small hotel , tucked away in a quiet side street , taxi drops you off about 100 yards away, but hardly a 5 minute walk from the Cathedral, Alcazar etc and all this beautiful cities main sights within walking distance. We were welcomed by Jessica with a drink in the beautiful courtyard, where a guitarist plays in the evenings and the hustle of the city outside is a million miles away. We had a superior room with small sun terrace, lovely bed and bathroom with a welcome fruit platter plus cold drinks in the mini bar. Cannot fault the staff here who will do everything to make your stay memorable, big thanks to Jessica who gave an excellent recommendation of one of the hundreds of tapas bars to eat at as well as all the sights we could easily walk to and with the Seville marathon on the Sunday when we were trying to get back to the airport , arranging a pick up for us in a road which wasn’t closed. Also thanks to the young French lad who was working as an intern, who walked us to the taxi. Definitely the extra mile and great service.
