After a few days in Marbella, we needed a couple of nights accommodation before our flight home. Having stayed in Elviria a few times, we decided to try the Vime La Reserva. I wouldn't say it's in Marbella. The check in was fast. We got a nice two bed townhouse with parking right outside, making the unloading of cases easy. The downstairs bedroom was a little small but as there were only two of us, we used the upstairs bedroom and bathroom. The downstairs ensuite was small with the washing machine at the back, but adequate. We had a car so ate out at favourite local restaurants. We had breakfast on the last morning for a discounted price. I think about 8 euros and found it well organised and with plenty of choice. We took the car to the nearby supermarket (there are cheaper ones a little further afield) but it is definitely walkable.

We were disappointed that the indoor pool and gym opened quite late, but we were on holiday! We would definitely stay again.

Really wanted to give this place a better review but many things need improvement.
Whilst the pool area is nice the pool tiles were filthy dirty and just needed a good clean.
The apartment itself is dated and the cleaning is very poor, mould in the bathroom shower and tiled areas looked like it needed a good scrub.
Furniture is dated and needs replacing.
Location is ok and the staff were nice.
Bed was comfy.
I don’t think it would take a lot to make this place a lot nicer.

The hotel was nice and modern and very spacious apartments. And around the pool etc was lovely.
It was clean enough however round shower etc looked worn and a bit grubby.
They are modern but probably ready for a spruce up.
The location wasn't great, not much near it..
The water was an issue. Showers were either freezing cold or boiling hot.
In all it was good value for money just a few tweeks needed.

Good space for a family, with a terrace, a balcony, two bedrooms (one on each floor with separate bathrooms).

This is a place where you go to hang at their pool with a convenient restaurant, or use as a base for traveling the sourroundings. Car is a must even though it’s possible to walk to the beach and some restaurants.

Extremely dirty, furniture falling apart, they only paint the places than can be seen walking around. Indoor pool is filthy. Bathrooms smell of sewerage. Fridges smell too. So, so terrible. Please don’t go, it’s not what is advertised- we had to leave and change hotels.

Booked this last minute for a decent price.

We booked a one bedroom apartment, but I think we were possibly upgraded as there was both a bedroom upstairs and downstairs.
We also had two bathrooms and two large balcony’s both upstairs and downstairs.

The apartment was gorgeous and huge, pretty clean looking at it…..

As it’s out of season everything was closed apart from the indoor pool. You have to book the sauna to use it though.

We all really liked staying here and would go back again.

I’ve rated it 3 starts due to the smell. The whole apartment smelt like a musty, mouldy, mocky smell. It was worse downstairs. The furniture smelt like an old used furniture shop too when you opened the doors and drawers.
At first I thought the cleaners used a dirty mop and it was just the floors. But the sheets on the bed smelt like that too.

It’s 15 minutes from Marbella in a taxi/Uber, which was handy.

Uncomfortable kitchen, the sink is located too in the corner,it was impossible to wash the dishes. And old rusty refrigerator, looks not for four stars.

Stayed for 3wks in a villa on this site. Nice outdoor pool and there is an indoor pool if the weather isn't great. Small gym but quite adequate. Short drive from Marbella, Puerto Banus, Estepona. Two supermarkets within walking distance.

We stayed in a self catering unit at this resort an experience never to be forgotten! On a positive note the shower was good, the linen clean and the reception staff were polite and appeared to want to help.Don't know where to start with the faults as there were so many so will just name the principal ones.Wardrobe doors would not slide a man came and fiddled with them but not much improvement.Had to clean wardrobe shelves as they were filthy.Kettle provided was dirty and broken took 24hrs and two kettles before we got one that worked. Two large terraces but both dirty ,the one upstairs had two dirty plastic chairs and a broken clothes drier, we asked for a patio table which never arrived. The back terrace was like a prison exercise yard and had some sort of dead shrub in it and a grimy plastic drinks table. The air con was useless. The kitchen had hardly any equipment, luckily there was a corkscrew that only took a few layers of skin off you fingers as we certainly needed a drink to sustain us! The fridge's freezer compartment door had broken off at some point and was nearly completely iced up.No cleaning materials available not even a tea towel to wash up with. The last straw came when I decided to press my husband's shirt and got a big electric shock off the iron,on inspection caused by a bare wire!!That was it and we left after only two days of our planned five day stay.We spoke to the manager who was apologetic and intimated that if we had complained we could have had a better apartment, which in fact we had right at the start and were told by reception that all the apartments were the same! I can't comment on the hotel which maybe ok as the pool and public areas looked alright. But certainly the apartment complex looked sad and in need of some care and attention. Not a happy experience.

I realise it's each to their own but the negative reviews on this lovely hotel can really put people off , we are here now and once you find your feet and your way around the local area I'm sure as we have you come to realise this hotel is stunning as is the local harbour and restaurants etc

I was really quite worried after reading the negative reviews and actually tried to change our holiday , we are so pleased we didn't as it is absolutely gorgeous!! Yes it's not right in the heart of Marbella but honestly after a couple visits there I'm glad it isn't , the apartment has wow factors , really really nice with everything we need , the bathrooms ( yes bathrooms we have 2!!) are out of this world , two sun terraces for relaxing , sunbathing , enjoying drinks in the sun etc , the pool areas are simply stunning , modern ,clean and relaxing , we have eaten lunch a couple of times in the poolside restaurant and it was reasonably priced and quality food , amazing cocktails at the poolside cocktail bar, the reception is full of information on how to get about and what's in the local area etc , all staff have been pleasant and the grounds are well tended and look beautiful lit up at night , we are so happy we did not change hotels , we have visited Marbella twice been to Puerto banus shopping and for lunch ( all on the local public transport ) €1.55 to Marbella on the bus .... who can argue with that ! We have spent every evening down cabopino harbour and square and have not had a bad meal or experience yet , a few of our chosen restaurants have been la tabla, Hermosa, jaipour Indian, the small Spanish taverna on the square at the harbour all out of this world , we have had cocktails in jorges bar , really nice and happy hour between 4-7 most days,

All in all we are having a fab self catering holiday which has give us the freedom to pick and choose when and where we dine , the holidays not over yet , just to decide which delicious place we will be visiting tonight ! I will add separate reviews for all the places we have been.

Don't be put off I know we are happy to return here and would not hesitate, go and enjoy as we have 🍷🌞👍🍹

Yes you can get towels but have to give a deposit I believe. We didn’t get a taxi but the bus into central Marbella is easy and only costs 1.57 Euros each way.

There was a kettle in our one bedroom apartment so I would say the two beds would also provide one.
