Hotel - more 3 star shabby in need of upgrading but clean Indoor spa pool Costs £25 (including discount). - would have been better to include the cost onto the price of the booking Breakfast - passable everything except cheese and fruit swimming in oil fake orange juice etc Spa - although open there was a lot of red & white tape in areas just didn’t feel spa like you do get 15% off all treatments Beach- you have cross a busy motor way walk over an over pass to meet a cat litter beach with sand flies no amenities (so get all you drinks a Aldi) no sunlougers or parasols if you walk up to Ikos they have loungers and bar at £174!?! They do let you hire a towel so…a bargain 👀 Playa de Cristo beach £25 each way in a taxi for a small sandy beach with a bar loungers (£7) The hotel should provide a tourist map easily knocked up on Google of places to go/beaches/restaurants etc Bars- apart from the hotel bar there are no clubs or bars that look open This is not a place with a strip or high st - was a bit bored and I’m 45 gladly was only there for a weekend…
We stayed at the hotel for 27 days between mid March and mid April as a base for travelling around the Costa del Sol. On first impressions the Hotel looks sleek and modern. However, it’s been poorly maintained since it’s been constructed. It rained heavily on and off for a couple of weeks when we arrived and we had to vacate our first room on the first floor as the rain had penetrated into the electrical wiring into the room. All the rooms have, domestic type, laminate flooring ( very unusual for Spain) and second room they offered us was on the third floor had splits in the floor. They then offered us one of the suites with a large balcony , as a free upgrade for our inconvenience, but when we looked at the room it was flooded so they had to close the room off. Our final room on the third floor was not as good as our first room as the balcony had a large column in the centre and the wardrobe was half the size of our first room ( not great for a months worth of clothing) and at least had a partial sea view beyond the motorway and a construction site at Costalita. No bins in the room other than the very small one in the bathroom. The walls are also very thin and noise travels easily. The rain penetrated into several other parts of the hotel at Reception, Restaurant, Spa, Gym etc and the fire escape door at the end of our corridor would not close and the surrounding wall had collapsed ( still not fixed when we left) and was in a dangerous condition. The entrance to the Spa “ Chill out area” is out of use and leaked like a sieve. We booked the holiday through “On the Beach” but were not advised that the hotel is only partially open until Easter . So the there was no facilities other than a vending machine available . No main or pool Bar, No Food, No Coffee , No room service throughout the day between breakfast and when the restaurant pens. They did open the pool bar for a few hours on the the weekend before we left . Breakfast is acceptable but they ran out of basic things like tea bags and bacon for about a week. They only had the chef making eggs to order on a Sunday. They also had issues with their IT system as our room key had to be reconfigured most days. We had a car so we were not that bothered that it’s a bit out of the way . However, it’s a good walk to any beaches or good restaurants and bars so be prepared ! But there’s a taxi rank just outside the hotel. To finish on a more positive note. The young staff were very nice and coped well in the face of adversity when the weather was so bad.…
I wasn’t sure what to expect but you need to be aware that Estepona Town is 9km away and the hotel is on a busy roundabout at the cancelada turn-off. The staff are friendly and whilst the bed was very comfortable, the pillows were small and hard. The room was clean as was the hotel. One thing that’s a measure for a good hotel is the food and breakfasts - and this is where the hotel let itself down. The breakfasts weren’t good. Under-cooked (snotty) fried eggs are a massive turn-off. Even the scrambled eggs weren’t good. Such a shame.
Peaceful stay, staff friendly and room very sizeable plus beds extreme comfortable. Oil very nice but cold this time of year. A few restaurants and bars locally within in a 15-20 min walk. But I’m a postman so this is easy for me. Very busy roads but this really did not affect our stay.
The service is so welcoming and the spa treatments are amazing. Great place to stay. The room is quite spacious and clean. The corridors are clean and smells amazingly therapeutic. The outdoor and indoor poolside are amazing to chill out in.
