We rented a villa at Parque Botanico intending to stay for several months. However the villa was broken into and burglarised over the Christmas holidays. A huge amount of our personal belongings were stolen. We called the police who told us there were very many similar thefts at this resort. Despite metal roller shutters on every door and window the thieves had no problem breaking into the property. The resort boasts CCTV and security guards. However there was no CCTV of the break in and we strongly suspect the security staff were involved in the theft. We had a meeting with the Administrator of the resort to express our disappointment at the lack of CCTV and the fact that the security guards were the only people who knew we were away and that the villa would be unoccupied. He said that security was definitely insufficient at the resort and needed to be increased. He was no real help and admitted there were many burglaries at this resort probably carried out by people who actually live at the resort. These people know the location of the CCTV cameras and can keep stolen property in their homes and would not be suspected as they drove out during the day. Needless to say we left the resort as soon as possible. I would not suggest anyone considers visiting Parque Botánico as it is paradise for thieves.…
Value for money spacious, well equipped and clean set out very well very friendly and helpfull staff good facilities just ask for directions, easy to find from the directions provided. need a car as it away from main road, very peaceful location, could not hear motorway would definitely recommended to anyone
This is a well thought out development, with extensive gardens and excellent facilities. You need a car to get around and to the beach. It is under an hours drive from Malaga or Gibralter airport, and also Malaga Port. Theire are plenty resturants and shops in the local areas of Estepona and San Pedro. Porta Banus is 15 minutes away.
The Parque Botanico Resort has very luxurious appartments and they are equiped with everything you need! Our apartment was absolutely clean, nicely decorated and we had a nice view on the mountains. We stayed for 7 nights, until the 3rd October. The only thing was that the outside swimming pools were closed on the 1st October while the original rules were, that they could be used until the 15th October. They changed the rules when we were there. The inside pool is also good but you could not use the place outside for sunbathing any more, because they closed the gates. The whole resort is accessible for wheelchairs. There is a big locked garage under the buildings and you are allowed to park there. Price/quality comparatively is good!
I have been there for 5 nights . Was vry surprised by the luxury side of apartments: marble, fully equiped. 4 pools , the building is all green just as its name botanical garden. Convenient parking. Splendid view on the mountain. However: to go there u need a car, 3,5 km climb to acces the resort. Road at night might be dangerous.
