Wonderful hotel with such welcoming, friendly and helpful staff from reception to housekeepers. Great location right by the sea with great food, swimming pools ( inside and outside). Would definitely go there again!
Big Mistake as this is not a 5 star hotel at best it’s a 3 star hotel from the 1980/90’s that you would have found in package deals to Benidorm . The hotel is tired, drab and in need of refurbishment, the food offer is dreadful because anything that should be hot is at best warm and served on cold plates so by the time you have queued to get the rest of your meal it’s stone cold. The cooked meats are tough and chewy and at €30 for the buffet it’s a ripoff. With temperatures in the high 20’s you can’t even buy a ice cream! Our room is £200 sterling a night and the floor covering is scratched and worn with the wall paper peeling off, the AC is only on when the hotel feels it’s hot enough, the only thing 5 star about this hotel is the price for everything including the drinks every night we see delivery companies delivering pizzas and take aways to guests that come down to the lobby to collect this speaks volumes about the food at the hotel. The swimming pool has big patches of black mildew as does the shower cubicle in our room If you are looking at this hotel keep on looking for something else, I have stayed at The Senator Benaus Spa on the new golden mile over 10 times and that’s a beautiful 5 star hotel. This place is a complete disgrace .…
Hotel interiors were tired and dated including a battered lampshade on the bedside table. Not enough sockets and kettle did not work. There was no door in the bathroom but instead a glass door separating the bath from the toilet once inside the room - no privacy if you want to have a bath. Staff were lovely, helpful and the service was good, however rates reflect that of a five star and this hotel due to its tired and impractical interiors and amenities were a three star at best.
We just spent 4 nights at the hotel for a weekend break on the Costa del Sol, sadly we seemed to pick the one of the worst weeks for weather in many years and there was a distinct absence of the Sol. The hotel was very good, comfortable, clean and the food to a very good standard with plenty of choice for even the fussiest eater. We made use of the spa facilities during the poor weather and these were also very good. The only downside for us is the location on the outskirts of Estepona and a taxi ride was required every time that we wanted to go into town and it wasnt possible to walk into town due to the very busy main road outside the hotel. Would recommend the hotel and would like to return one day when the weather is more favourable.
Stayed a week, excellent hotel, great choice of food in various restaurants and buffet, staff are efficient and friendly. Coffee at breakfast is very strong but that is probably how the locals like it. The hotel is situated between Estepona and Minilva on the main road, nowhere is really walkable so a car is a must, obviously there are taxis and Mayr busses. Overall an excellent hotel and a great place to stay
