We stayed on a weekend in a suite in the adjacent building. While it did not look like much from the outside, we were well pleased with the room, its furnishings and spaciousness. The room was not luxurious, but still very comfortable. The main building was more upscale and modern in appearance. Every member of the staff that we encountered was both friendly and efficient. The breakfast was one of the best we have had in any restaurant in any location in this price range. The hotel is located in the heart of the city and provides very reasonably priced parking. The main points of interest were all within walking distance of the hotel. There are many restaurants, cafes and drinking establishments within a few blocks. The only improvement I would recommend is that they pick up free maps of the city from the tourist information office instead of making photo copies (which were difficult to read). I do not give 5-Point ratings very often, but this hotel certainly earned theirs. When we next visit Weimar, we will certainly book the Amalienhof again.…

We just completed a wonderful stay at this charming hotel in Weimar. The location is excellent. The staff is the best we’ve ever encountered. One of our group became a bit ill during our stay. The staff was kind, caring and helpful. This hotel gets our highest rating for location, staff and hospitality. Bravo, Amelianhof!

This hotel has a lot of positive things. The room was clean, the decor was awesome, the breakfast was very good, the location was awesome, the staff very friendly and accommodating, and the room was quiet. The only negative was there is no air conditioning in the hotel and the room was very hot. Even with the window opened, the room was still hot. We were supposed to stay 2 nights but ended up leaving early.

This hotel has several things great things going for it: 1. It's quite inexpensive. 2. The front desk is friendly and helpful. 3. The breakfast buffet (included in the price of the room) is actually quite substantial! 4. The wifi is fast and reliable. 5. The hotel is well located - only about five minutes' walk from Goethe's Wohnhaus. There's not too much more to say - I was happy with my stay here, and, if and when I chance to be back at Weimar, will be happy to return to stay at this hotel. For the price at which they offer their rooms, it'd be a great value.

The parking was very good, as was the breakfast. The location was very convenient. We were disappointed that we had no wifi in our apartment, and had to go to he lobby for it. The staff insisted that it was working. Frustrating. But for one night, it was a very satisfactory stay.
