Stayed two nights on a roadtrip to Germany. The hotel is located on the Market Square and within walking distance of some of Weimar’s best known sights. The history of the hotel goes back to 1696 and the building itself is beautiful and elegant. Good parking is available behind the hotel at EUR 18 per day. Friendly and helpful staff at the front desk informed us of current Covid-19 measures. Changes mainly regarded the breakfast, whereas housekeeping was as usual. Our Deluxe Room was spacious, very clean, quiet and elegant with excellent lighting. It was equipped with a/c, safe, coffee making equipment and good wi-fi. The breakfast was made to order and served at the table with a few items from the buffet. It was possible to order a number of different items, making the quality of the breakfast excellent. Service was friendly and very good. We enjoyed our stay in Weimar and would definitely recommend this hotel.…
I am just back from a wonderful stay in this sublime hotel with refined decoration with a Bauhaus style very elegant hotel . What made our stay memorable is the kindness and professionalism of the assistant front desk manager : Nicole Nicole is a young woman who has a very delicate approach with the guests and she know how to handle any situations, she made everything to make our stay amazing . Nicole is full of delicate attentions she make a perfect job . the breakfasts and dinners in the garden in midsummer are absolutely fabulous but what makes the diner even more enjoyable it's the manager of the restaurant Justine who makes you feel like a special guest, Justine is a very delicate young woman and very smily and who manages her restaurant to perfection by taking the time to have a nice conversation with her guests. I would also like to thank the breakfast team who are really lovely. Thanks again to Nicole and Justine you make our stay memorable we will definitely come back. This hotel is highly recommended Antonio from Copenhaguen…
The elephant hotel is in a excellent location to start you sightseeing of Weimar. The outside does not say all that much, but inside it es very modern and up to date. The room we had on the 3rd floor had a great view of the Market place. The room very nice and freshly clean. Could not get the AC working but it did not really matter. Breakfast was indoors or outdoors in a small park. Quiet and nice surrounding. Good breakfast but due to the Corona no buffet. Overall great hotel!!!
Stayed one night on 26 of June. Summer is here and the temperature was creeping up. Unfortunately, the AC was not functional in our room. My partner spoke to the front desk to see if they could repair or move us to another room. The representative said that a tech was dispatched and it would work in 30mins. 1hr has passed and still no AC. I spoke to the front desk once again and said if it was possible to move to a different room that has a functioning AC system. His response was "the other rooms might not be working either and if it did it could take 30mins to cool down." with a very rude and snarky attitude. They were not going to move me and acted as if we the guests were an inconvenience to him. His lack of care for our comfort and welfare was very apparent after these conversations. The next morning I talked to the front desk with a new representative to see what the issue was and if it's normal to not move guests to a functioning room with ac when their room is not working. She said yes, then maybe, then offered a service recovery of free parking. Her attitude was obvious we were bothering her and did not apologize for the inconvenience. Overall this is a beautiful hotel, great location, upscale restaurant, and reasonable priced. Unfortunately, their customer service is suboptimal. I'd recommend picking a different hotel if you're staying in the area.…
Centrally located at the Markt - convenient parking. The room was ok if a bit small but with good bed, quiet and a comfortable bathroom. Amenities include Nespresso machine and free bottle of water. The breakfast is superb and has excellent quality and variety. Coffee was good too. Wifi is ok. Recommended for visit to Weimar and the museums.
