We must have stayed in dozens of Ibis hotels by now, and this one of the more dated ones, similar to the Ibis hotels of 10/15 years ago. Beds are comfortable, but there are no plug sockets within arm range. The toilet/shower area is clean, but seriously small. There were some suspicious looking stains and dust on the carpet. Because of Corona measures, our room wasn't cleaned during our stay, but only before the arrival of new guests. (which I think is debatable whether this is really preventing the housekeeping staff from catching the virus). Location of this hotel however, is excellent: only 5 minutes by foot from the train station Jena Paradies . This turned out to be a fantastic starting point from where to explore the nearby hiking area Mittlere Saaldal and even Leipzig is within range for a day trip.…

I stayed at the Ibis Jena City on a Saturday night. The hotel is in a great location, smack bang in the middle of the City which for a first time visitor was perfect for exploring the wonderful delights of Jena The hotel reception staff were excellent, really friendly, and helpful. The room was as expected for an Ibis, so no complaints there. Despite it being directly in the city center the room was very quiet. Would recommend to anyone looking for a bed to sleep in on a city break.

The location of the Ibis Jena is fabulous, right in the city centre centre with easy access to shops, cafes and transport. Having spent the previous night in the Ibis Erfurt, arrived here with high expectations. LCAH drinks vouchers issued, but there's nowhere to spend them. All communal space and the bar were closed, but strange it was acceptable to open for breakfast. Rooms were very typical Ibis. As usual had to go to some effort to separate the twin beds. Some Ibis bedside tables collapse to allow this. Otherwise, unremarkable in brand consistency, but remarkable in inconsistent response to coronavirus within the brand and within the same hotel.

Dear guests, Thank you for your comment. We will use it to improve our services. We would like to apology for the inconvenience we have caused. Due to the Corona Situation we try to reduce the contact options between different guests and staff. So we decided to close our Lounge and Bar. Beverages you can get around the clock on the reception. We offer Breakfast not as buffet at the moment but as Tablets Ordering the evening before.
