The bedroom was fine although a little tired and the breakfast was wonderful- a huge selection to choose from

Stayed here for one spontaneous night and the room was very nicely made in oldfashioned style, to suit the building. Prices were affordable and breakfast very good with great variation. Ate dinner at the in house restaurant in one of their beautiful dining rooms and the ostrich was exquisite! Staff was extremely helpful and also received a big tip. Would recommend to anyone.

This hotel has a very long standing tradition in Jena as a hotel and restaurant. It is located opposite of the main historic University building, and at the corner of two busy streets, which is a bit of a drawback. My hotel room (No 1 :)) was nice and spacious and to the back of the room, so that noise was not an issue. Had a good and restful night. The hotel's breakfast room is spacious and well-lit, the break is German standard (frugal but ok :)).
