Great customer service but there are seriously cameras in the rooms. Or at least in my rooms. I also spotted the same thing in the spa. I’m not saying to not go to his hotel. It is beautiful and in a great location. Just take a good look at your room, especially look up, before you get settled.
Stayed here one night. Bathroom was nice and modern, staff were very friendly. There was a really nice multi cultural traveller vibe and very merry as the carnival had just started. My bed didn't have a pillow at first though. TV was nice and rare for hostel room!
Stayed for 2 nights. Staff were exceptionally rude especially to my husband who arrived at 3pm only to be told they wouldn’t speak to him as I was the one that had made the booking. Once I arrived I was told they could upgrade us for 100euro per night - I explained politely it was a business trip and this was quite a large increase to pay for an upgrade given our room was 113euro per night anyway. I was met with the response was “well normally it’s 600 euro”!! No information provided about breakfast. Luckily for us we had no interest in paying 25 euro for what looked like a poor breakfast selection. But the lack of info is very poor. Room was exceptionally dark & the lighting didn’t work. The lights that did work were blue & red and made you feel like you were in a 1970s bar. The beds were very uncomfortable & there was no air conditioning. Mini bar extortionate. €7 for a bottle of water. Roof top bar was closed both days & early evening so we didn’t even get to see it!! On check out we were hit with an astronomic fee for the valet car parking - 25euro a day!! Despite having not been told there would be a fee. We could’ve parked at the train station for half the price. I checked all my info from the hotel and there was no mention that we would be charged. Overall over priced, over rated & I wished we had paid the additional 20euro to stay at the Excelsior 5* hotel just around the corner. …
Well, the best thing about this hotel is the location. The room and the bathroom are okay. The room looks smaller than what i expected according to the photos. Seemed to me as it is an old hotel but they made renovations for certain areas to look cool and modern. The staff are within the average criterea for a 4 stars hotel.
