Our first room (large) was placed low (quite dark) and near a storageroom with bottles et cetera. Being a little sensitive for noice I requested another room. There was only a smaller room availbale (above the restaurant/breakfast room we learned later). Unfortunatly the restaurant (Nini) played constantly quite loud music from which we could hear the bass quite clear (further research showed that the quite large bassbox was placed just under the ceiling (our floor). i asked the restaurant personal to lower the volume of the music, said yes but did nothing. Later I requested the hotelreceptionist the same, she went down and came back later to our room and said - sorry, but the restarants image is with loud music so they can't turn the volume down. What the f**k. But, she continued, they close at 23.00 so then is it will finish. Ofcourse after 23.00 it didn't stop. What a disservice to us, their customers. Obviously this was the last time we stayed there.

Many rooms not accessible via lift. We were traveling with a person who needs a rollator and access to our rooms wasn’t possible except via stairs. Not ideal. The rooms are lit with “retro“ style LED bulbs which makes the room dark. Facilities nice. Breakfast expensive but good.

Nice, hipp rooms, once you reach them. That is, after you go through different lifts, run corridors and guess why nobody could even bother to tell you how to reach your room. Snobby staff at the reception and in the restaurant who obviously don't understand that it is the clients who pay their jobs. Waiters yelling at us, restaurant refused to serve drinks even when the space was empty, guess, the staff wanted to go to bed after three month sitting around because of Corona. There are plenty of hotels in hamburg to choose from, main thing is you avoid this one.

Always a pleasure staying here, beautiful hotel in a great spot, and great location. Always bring our dog and hotel super accommodating. If anything negative; the pillows are horrible, towels too small and the fact that there are no robes or slippers in the room. But other than that, love it and will come back!

This hotel was easily one of the prettiest we have stayed in and walking in for the first time was a treat. You felt looked after and the attention to detail was wonderful. There was a bicycle in the room that you could use throughout your stay and we appreciated the other room amenities of a hot water bottle, carry bag to borrow if needed, coffee and tea making equipment and access to a fridge. The location is safe and there is a bus stop directly in front of the hotel that takes you to the fishmarket. The U-bahn is also within easy walking distance so there are no issues with getting around. We found that we were able to walk everywhere and could easily access places to eat and drink. The bar at the hotel was also wonderful and worth taking the time to enjoy.
