IBIS hotel Berlin Hauptbahnhof is situated 100 m away from the Berlin Central Station, and in spite of it it is clean and very quiet place. Topically IBIS style with good rooms and the commendable staff. Location is fantastic. The only one thing was abnormal - the price. When I was staying there it was 144 euro per night. 144 euro, for 3 star hotel??? No it is too high. Other things are really good.
I totally recommend this hotel with the price up to 100 euro.

Sincerely yours,
Artur

We booked this as it was next to the Hauptbahnhof central station. It was a bit expensive for an Ibis but the quality was superior to many other Ibis hotels we have stayed in. Large room with large bed and very quiet with great soundproofing. Easy access for our early morning Flixtrain the next day.
The only adverse comment I would make was the charge for the breakfast at 15 EUR per person- we thought that was excessive - there are good cafes nearby.

Great access to public transport, hotel is right across the central station. Hotel is new and modern looking. Room is a pretty typical "new Ibis" decoration with decent bedding and strong shower. Only 1 pillow each and too soft for me, wifi connection is not the best as we had difficulties to get connected when demand was high. Overall this is not the cheapest Ibis around the town but this is probably the newest with the best access to public transport.

The room was quite small with strange decor, the bed itself was quite hard and uncomfortable but it was clean.
The shower in the bathroom faced the door so when it was turned on water sprayed everywhere and soaked the floor.
Very few towels are provided.
The toilet paper was very poor and cheap, it was hard and see through.
There is face / shower/ body/ hair/ hand wash contained in dispensers on the wall but a separate shampoo / conditioner one would be appreciated.
It felt more so like a hostel.
Night Porter / manager was dismissive and rude and almost offended by food delivery at night. But perhaps this could’ve been a cultural difference or miscommunication.
Drinks and snacks are very expensive in the hotel. €2.90 for 0.5L drink.
The location is ideal <2 mins walk from Hbf (central) station and there are many electric scooters and bikes to choose from outside. I would recommend a 24 hour pass with either Bolt or Tier. Tier is more expensive but you can place your phone in a holder which makes navigation much easier.

Check in was smooth and quick. I always request a room at a high floor, but somehow Accor is one of the chain where this does not really work. Room was clean, small but every there that you need and the bathroom a bit bigger than other IBIS. Unfortunately next morning (Saturday) at 7am we got woken up by the construction side next door with loud jack-hammer. Damn. The night was over way to early.....
After coming back from breakfast (se did nit habe breakfast in the hotel but there are a few options around the corner), we checked with reception on the noise problem and why they put Guests next to the construction site at all as (as reception confirmed) they still have a very low occupancy rate after corona. Furthermore we learned that they already had problems with the construction site and the corresponding noise before....as a Accor All Status guest I was really disappointed. No compensation offered but to be safe from noise they offered us another room towards the courtyard.
So - if the rate is good we would stay there again - if they guarantee that we get a room towards the courtyard. To the hotel management: really a bad job in giving rooms towards the construction site to loyal guests when others are available especially as now after Corona hotels want to get guests back.
To the Corona measures: Staff is complying with the measures, however guests are only sometimes and staff did NOT remind them in the rules....not a good feeling

This is an average IBIS hotel, location is just across the main station so if you're arriving by train it would be a good choice. Brandenburg Tor was around 15 minute walk. The rooms were nice, although the bathroom was a bit old. You can check in at 13:00 if you're an Accor member, otherwise they make you wait until 15:00. The price was good for our dates so no complaints.

Disappointed

I have stayed at various Ibis Hotels for years now and although they are clean and functional, my experience at this particular Berlin Ibis was disappointing, if the cost to me had been the normal price, i "may" have been able to understand but having booked through Hotels.Com I paid a total of €676.01 for 3 nights. Expensive yes, but for some reason all hotels in Berlin were expensive

On checking in we were allocated room 212

The first issue was the heat in our room, it was excessive and very uncomfortable. On contacting the front desk, we were told that management turn off the AC to save money. Not good enough when Ibis advertise that the rooms have AC in them.

The room itself was quite small with no room for 2 persons to walk by each other at the end of the bed. For some reason the mattress slid off the bed base each night. We did ask for a quiet room at check in and were allocated a room facing an internal courtyard on the 2nd floor. Great position and quiet but even opening the window the few inches that it would open, we had little or no fresh air coming into the room. We managed to borrow a small fan from reception

The bathroom was fine with strong pressure from the Shower, but the water leaked out from the shower bottom onto the floor

I note that other guests gave the breakfast a big thumbs up. We found it pretty good, with plenty of bread, cold choices, cereals, but the "hot items" each morning were just scrambled eggs, hard bolied eggs & sausage" ... not bad and tasty. Coffee was good

Seats in the breakfast area were most uncomfortable to sit on., maybe to stop one lingering

A side note .... the Peter Pane restaurant beside the Ibis has excellent burgers but a tad expensive.. a good choice

Would I stay again .... not at the price I paid, we got little or no sleep due to the room temperature and with management turning off the AC, I'm not happy how management treats its guests

We were happy with the spacious and overall clean room. Service staff was friendly and helpful.
Negative was the weak ar-conditioning of the room. We were just OK with the cooling performance, but we were practically not using our blankets. There were some unniticed smear on the bathroom door. The breakfast was too expensive for us (comapring to other hotel brekfasts), so we preferred cafés in the city.

This is definitely one of the best Ibis hotels. Good sized room with very comfortable bed. Great little wardrobe with hangers one can hang anywhere. Best breakfast buffet with almost everything one wants for a yummy start to the day. Good friendly service. Sanitiser sprays right at the lifts on every floor, a great move. Highly recommended

This is a great location. It is across the street from Berlin’s Main Train Station. One can walk or catch a train to most attractions. The room was clean and modern and the bed was comfortable. The rooms facing the street are a bit noisy, so request one that isn’t. The staff is friendly and attentive. The breakfast is reasonably priced and has a good variety. I would have given it 5 stars if it wasn’t for the coffee machines in the breakfast area. These machines not only make the worst coffee I’ve ever had, but can never manage to dispense what you asked it to dispense. Horrible coffee…. I had great coffee across the street at Coffee Fellows, so maybe you should do the same.

The construction works are to take place during the next 1 and a half years (likely 2 years). Make sure you ask for a room without a view of the cranes and building sites. And a discount!!

Hi we are flying into schoenefeld airport. How far away in a taxi is this hotel?
Answer from Ttcat

Schonfeld is very far away on the other side of Berlin. A taxi would be very expensive but there is very good public transportation, a train from the airport to the part of Berlin where you will be going. If you don't have too much luggage I suggest you use that instead of a taxi.

The train was really easy and only just over 3€, took about 25 mins and stops right outside Berlin central station. The train station was just a few mins walk inside the airport grounds, follow the covered walkway
