Good Three-Star Hotel by a Lake
This hotel was very peaceful and has the view of a lake. Most of the other people staying there were German. I seemed to be the only English person but I didn't mind that and one or two of the staff spoke good English, particularly Susan on Reception who was so friendly and warm and helpful. They give you a bus and train pass which can be used for getting into and around Berlin although it does take a bit of time to get there. The breakfast is excellent and the buffet evening meal is good. The beer is excellent and enjoyable! There would be good forest walks from here I'm sure but I only stayed two nights and spent all of the time seeing the main Berlin tourist attractions. I could happily have stayed longer.

Nice location, good for a reasonable price
Nice, quiet location, not far (10min by car) to the downtown. Big and clean rooms, nice and polite service. The breakfast was quite good, there was nothing outstanding but for it's price I found everything I was expecting (fresh bread, fruits etc.)
