A big room. very well equiped, a lot of lights and an excellent wi-fi. The U-Bahn station is 3 minutes walk, and although it takes some time to get bto the city center, the great price of the room worths it. There are a lot of stores 5 minutes away. For Jewish guests: Chabad hause in 10 minutes walk away and you can gind vwgan bakery in Bio Company. Mostly friendly and helpful staff.
On the downside: There is only one english TV chanell and the pillows are way too soft.

When you choose a value hotel like this, you can expect what you get at Albergo. The building is old but well maintained. Rooms have good size. The one I had in 1st floor had a balcony with chairs outside. Furniture could be in better condition with small investment. Bed is standard, matress condition could be better. Private bathroom with all basics. House keeping has room for improvement (not very careful). WiFi connection is good. Small fridge in the room. There is a subway station one block away which easily allow you to get to all points of interest. Breakfast is included which is a plus being an economic hotel. The food is pretty decent. In summary, good cost/quality balance

The desk staff are very pleasant and accommodating. The room is small but clean. The restaurant waiter was very rude to my wife when she dined there by herself. The worst thing about this hotel is there is no air conditioning and if you open the window you get the very noisy street noise and the even lauder train noise... so if you are looking for a quite place, this would not be it.

I was actually pretty shocked at how nice this place was! There is a UBahn station very close by (closer than Google suggested actually, so make sure you look at a map!). We arrived very late at night, but we let them know ahead of time so there was a key waiting for us even though nobody was at the front desk.

There was very little noise to speak of aside from normal street noise. We slept comfortably with the window open with no issues at all. Is it dead quiet like my own neighborhood? No. However, I would say it is certainly quiet enough and given its location, I was quite pleased. The temperature in early September was quite comfortable despite not having AC which had been a concern for us initially.

The rooms are GORGEOUS! Yes parts of it are a little small, but I was shocked at how elegant it was for the price. I've stayed in one star hotels that cost as much as my room did, and boy this is no 1 star hotel that's for sure! The bathroom/shower was nice, but the soaps were kind of "eh", so we ended up buying our own toiletries after we arrived. No big deal though. I actually liked going to a local shop to pick out some German shampoo and such!

We stayed for 4 nights, and every staff member we encountered was very kind and helpful! Excellent English speakers too! One of the front desk staff got us set up with a tourist metro pass that worked out great for us too. Definitely worth it!

The breakfast there was very good at the hotel, but we only ate it once. For our first morning in Berlin it hit the spot with a nice selection of breads and meats. There is a cafe nearby (ParkCafe I think it was called?) which was DIVINE that we frequented for breakfast instead on subsequent days.

We did end up at the hotel restaurant for dinner one night and it was fantastic. I wish they had a little more variety in the way of beers, but other than that I was fully satisfied with the food and the service.

I wish that WiFi service was included in the hotel, but most hotels I looked into in this price range also charged for WiFi so that seems par for the course.

I would absolutely stay here again if I ever find myself back in Berlin!

We stayed here from 2nd-6th November and as stated in other reviews it is in a very quiet location but it is full of character and only a very short walk to the nearest U-Bahn station (Fehrbilliner Platz) and therefore links to the centre of Berlin and other districts.

The rooms are very flamboyant and Italian inspired, no tea making facilities unfortunately but there is a reasonably priced mini-bar. The pillows on the bed are wafer-thin but we asked for an extra set of pillows and together with the cushions we could then fashion a reasonable pillow! Bathroom was spotless with a powerful shower, TV only had 2 English speaking (news) channels, but this wasn't too much of a problem.

Breakfast was mainly continental but with various selections of egg and sausage on alternative days.

The lady on reception was very accomodating and friendly ,as were all the staff at breakfast time.

There are a few restaurants scattered nearby but not much else as it is a very quiet area, but there is a marvellous 'Kebab House' called Safran Grill which is next to the Fehrbelliner Platz U-Bahn station entrance that is very near to the BIo Company superstore. The doner kebabs were absolutely fantastic, served on lovely crusty bread, much better than the UK versions, and the takeaway beer was very cheap too, we went there twice in the evening on the last 2 days of our 4 day stay as it was so good! Please try it!

We would visit this hotel again, thank you Hotel Albergo!

The hotel had very nice decoration. It was in an excelent place by the metro station and too close to the shopping area by foot. The room was big enough with florence furnitures. The breafast was very good. There is parking area for the car

Since I had to travel to Berlin for business and took my wife with me, we opted for a more romantic style hotel with a nice decor in a quiet location and this was a good choice for price/quality. The Mediterrainean style appealed to us very much and we were pleasantly surprised by the decoration and ambience of the hotel and also the size of the room ( the "Komfort" room at a 10 Euro surcharge) and abundant coffee and tea making facilities in the room. The bathroom was nicely appointed and stylish, but had one drawback, being the glassed-in shower in a very awkward place between the sink and the toilet, making the space tight. The builder must have been sleeping or maybe dreaming of the Mediterrainean, when he installed it in such a way. For us it was not really a problem, but I can imagine that people with a fuller figure or a handicap would find it somewhat difficult to manouever. The wardrobe space and furniture was very adequate, although we would have appreciated a lamp above the working desk, and unfortunately the safe didn't work properly, but we didn't make a fuss about it. The staff was very friendly and helpful in arranging things for us and the breakfast buffet in the stylish rooftop garden room varied and delicious, although they ran out of some dishes when you came late for breakfast. All in all we were very pleased, especially since we thought the price was quite allright for what you get. Next year we will stay here again.

Stayed at Hotel Albergo two nights with my wife during December. The hotel decor was fantastic, the rooms very comfortable- very cosy and the bathroom/shower spotless and plenty of hot water. I feel that previous reviews may have been a bit unfair on the hotel staff, as they were very friendly, spoke excellent English, and it seemed that they could not do enough for us. On the plus side, this is a small, comfortable, friendly hotel, and the website photos do reflect the how the hotel actually looks. On the negative side, it is slightly out of the way, and while the u-bahn runs to Fehrbelliner Platz on a regular basis, the U-trains can feel rather deserted and a bit intimidating after about 11PM, although we did not experience or witness any incidents. I would recommend this hotel to anybody wanting a romantic weekend, who did not want to be anywhere in a hurry, or stay out until the early hours. I would not recommend this hotel for stag/hen parties, etc, who would be better served staying around Hackescher Markt (excellent place for beers/food) in Mitte.

We didn't get to Berlin until late, normally we will have a look before booking. Relied on booking site rating, past guests must be mad. Room was old and run down and not very clean
Only good thing I can say is breakfast was good
Place needs an upgrade, advise you to find somewhere else to stay, we had 4 months of hotels in Europe and this is one of the worst.

I stayed at this hotel for my daughters 30th birthday trip to Berlin. It is a little out of the way,but the underground station is just up the road. Rooms are nice (my daughter is in to all this) bathroom needed a little bit more detail when being cleaned,(tile grout needs to be replaced as in parts it as black) but they were clean. Breakfast was lush,so much to choose from, the 2 ladies in the breakfast room were always polite, and tried hard to speak English to us.Only 1 negative is the hotel is on a busy road, so if like us we sleep with windows open then don't expect to get a good nights sleep,(police sirens going, cars roaring up and down the road, and a Grecian Restaurant next door which we never got to visit as we were so busy sight seeing. Berlin is a bright vibrant city, with so much to see, and do, we needed more than 4 days to be able to enjoy all it had to offer.
