Decent hotel with a great bar and restaurant. Had a couple of meals there and everything was really tasty.

The rooms are a little dated, but perfectly comfortable and spacious. Mine had a lovely view of the river.

The gym is a bit ropey, but the hotel is in a great spot for running by the river.

Great for a business trip, but probably not somewhere I’d stay for leisure.

This hotel was amazing. It had so many great things to offer like great breakfast, nice location pretty central, lovely rooms some with view and a garage if your with car. We loved our stay at this hotel. It was easy and simple to get around from there.

This separate building next to the Abion hotel is simply perfect. VIP service with discrete touches and luxurious amenities. The rooms are really large and nicely decorated. Two TV's, a lounge and a desk together with walk in shower and closet, bath and separate toilet (2)

The dedicated breakfast room downstairs and the view over the river Spree are gorgeous. Hard also to find a more quite setting in bustling Berlin.

Prices for this type of luxury is very reasonable too. Breakfast buffet is elaborate and well serviced when you decide to go for the main hotel facilities next door.

Terrace and restaurant serve an inventive cuisine with very friendly and attentive waiters.

WIFI is amazing everywhere in and outside.

Excellent location in a quite neighborhood, at 20 minutes from Tegel Airport with TXL bus and close to S-Bahn just 2 statons of Friedrichstrasse. We booked 2 Villa Maritime rooms one for 2 and one for 3 people. Both with views to the river Spree. Large rooms with desk and a nice corner with a 2 comfortable armchairs, . Excellent bathroom . The free wifi runs fast without problems. Room cleanless excelent. Staff very friendly. We did not breakfast at the hotel.

Conclusión. Excellent hotel. Highly recommended. We will go back.
Remarks: we have booked the hotel through its web page ( Ameron). ABION Villa Suites is located just beside the ABION Hotel. The web page include all the rooms of both ABION Villa Suites and ABION Hotel together in the same "tab" and its easy to be confused. In my case the problem was solved inmediately by the Reservation's Secretary.

Abion Villa is part of the Abion Hotel. However, it is housed in a different building. The villa is in Tiergarten right at a riverside. The surrounding is very lovely and quiet. It is an ideal place to be in summer. The villa is across from a S-Bahn station and just a few minutes away from a U-Bahn station. The zoo is just 2 U-Bahn stations away, and Kurf'damm 3 stations away.

Frankly, the villa is not up to the 5-star standard it claims. Services are OK. The gym is really not very good (I almost got injured by a malfunctioned treadmill. Weights are not sufficient for any meaningful exercise.) The room is very big. However, that is the only thing that stands out. The decoration is plain and is just a simple business hotel room.

All in all, the villa is not expensive, offers large rooms, and situates in a very lovely area. It is not bad choice for Berlin, especially in summer.

This is a very modern and stylish hotel. The rooms are spacious enough with full-size beds. The cleaning staff are detailed oriented and kind to your every wish. You are right on a 4-mile path to walk or run along the river. The only problem we had was with our keys to the room. The new keys with the logo on it doesn't work well and we spent several days getting new keys.

I have to mention the two Receptionists that goes out of their way to make you comfortable. Those being, Thomas Heth and Ekaterina Makhrova. They are truly assets to this organization.

Another thing I should mention is, the wait staff at the breakfast room and the wait staff at the diningroom. Because I was in a wheelchair and then on crutches later, these people were truly a blessing. they are, Marena Buchholtz, Ligoya Lonenze, Max Merlin Ries for breakfast and Pia Trippens for dinner.

Really enjoyed staying here - quieter than the parent hotel close by. Really well appointed and in great condition. Comfortable rooms and quiet. Would highly recommend. The staff were very helpful. We had good dinner in the parent hotel one night and it was very good. The hotel has a cigar room too which was a nice advantage for those who smoke.

We visited Berlin this Christmas and booked one of the ABION Villa Suites, which are located right on the edge of the Spree River in a separate building from the hotel (approximately 50 meters).

The hotel staff was very efficient when we checked in and guided us to our suite. The suite was very spacious, we had two toilets, one large bathroom, a large living room and bedroom. The view is really beautiful, especially with good weather.

Best things:
- There's a coffee maker and tea kettle in the room.
- The hotel has an underground (paid) parking garage.
- We had food delivered to our room from a local restaurant, expecting to be called to pick it up in the lobby of the hotel, but they sent the food to our room.
- The rooms were very clean.
- Wifi connection was good and quite fast.
- There are some very good restaurants in the area
- Very quite rooms and almost no noise from outside, even with the windows open.

What could be improved:
- Hotel staff is efficient and pleasant, but it would definitely make a more lasting impression if the staff was friendlier.
- The furniture in the living area looked a bit worn out with some stains here and there.
- Iron and iron boards were missing from the room.
- Room service menu is very limited and quite expensive.

Conclusion:
It's a good hotel, well located and we would definitely return, but the small details make a hotel great, not just good.

Tip:
The hotel has a parking garage if you're traveling by car. You have two options for payment: There's a parking payment machine in the garage (you have to navigate a bit through it to find it) or you can pay at the lobby. If you pay at the lobby you're charged the full amount per day, if you pay at the machine you're only charged for the time you actually use the garage.

On a cold yet sunny morning, sometime in December 2003, my friend Peter took me to see parts of Berlin that had been recently redeveloped or were in full change.
As such, we walked along the Spree river bank in Moabit, along industrial buildings, the interlacing of iron bridges.
Little did I know that, about 10 years later, I would be staying in one of those waterfront buildings, transformed into a hotel: The Abion Villa.
The fairly small Abion Villa, set apart from the main Abion, offers superior services and minimalist, comfortable rooms.
My spacious room, with a panoramic river view, made for a pleasant stay; there were separate sitting and sleeping areas, a large bathroom with a "through the looking glass" circular window, offering a peek on the suite and the Spree.
What distinguishes the Abion Villa is its scale, allowing for highly personalized, almost "butler-like," services. The two young hotel managers at the Villa were extremely attentive in order to make everything go swiftly during my stay. (Already at my arrival, the manager at the main hotel was equally super-kind and efficient.)
I was also nicely surprised by the high quality of the products offered at breakfast; most of them, organic and all super-fresh.
It was interesting to discover yet another area of Berlin, close to/connected with both Charlottenburg and Mitte - (the S-Bahn to either Hauptbahnhof/Friederichstr or Zoologisher Garten is only a 5-minute walk away).
At dawn, not a single noise but the tranquility of the river, before the boats get out, the first runners or the guys on bicycles. You catch a glimps of a new European city at its best.
