I arrived in the afternoon and had left a notice on my booking that I was going to get there at 3 pm.
The reception was closed, and I wasn’t informed of the procedure to entre the hotel.
I had to search for the comfirmation email while standing outside on the street with my luggage’s.
I had no idea but even if the area is close to the center, it seems unsafe, and a group of guys were standing at the street corner looking at me.
Someone over the phone gave me a code to open thème in door and informed me of where my room was.
Several times in a raw, in the mornin while I was sleeping, someone knocked on my door.. the first time as I didn’t answere, the guy opened the door and got into my room, I had to shout at him that he needed to get out.
The day after around midday when I was busy on the phone or doing my hair.
He did the same thing, this time I had to go at the door to ask him not to do it this again.
He wasn’t there or the cleaning, he was rude and asked me to get into the bathroom as he wanted to check the shower.. which works fine.
I haven’t been informed about any visit from stuff by the hotel and did not let him.
But this did not make me feel safe or at peace at all.

The good side is that the rooms are clean and quiet with decent space.

Near from public transports. Cheap. Big room. Very good wifi. Good staff. All I regret is that it s not useful for night parties because of the location. The shower was perfect. If you a a traveler and need to visit the day, this hotel is perfect. Some difficulties from the train station to the hotel. You need to take the metro it is easier.

If you're looking for a modern, affordable, hotel then I can recommend this one. Situated a 10 minute bus ride from the central station and close to Wedding S/U-bahn station, the hotel entrance is in a side street (Burgdorfstrasse). The reception is only manned from 0730 - 2100 but your room key opens the front door after hours. My room was modern and a good size and the bathroom (shower) likewise. There is a TV but no English channels. The free wifi worked extremely well. There's no phone, tea/coffee, minibar, free pens or the like. The breakfast, from 0730 - 1000, is in a bright room up on the 5th floor, and offered a good choice of breads, fruit, cheese, cereals etc. but no hot dishes.

When you are booking a cheap hotel in Berlin or anywhere in Germany you must expect that you get what you paying for. I have to disagree with most of the below reviewers. My friends and I spent one night in Berlin and chose this hotel because it was cheap and offerend a quite large trip room. We arrived early in the morning / 9am and even without giving an ahead notice, we were able to go in and check in. The man at reception was very nice and friendly.
We waited only couple minutes for the housekeeper to finish and were in our room which was quite nice with confortable beds and enough space for the 3 of us.
Bathroom was really nice with a rain shower, nice vanity set,.... yes, the carpet was a bit dirty but we did not really care as we spent the whole day out of the room and went back in just to get enough of sleep.
The reception closes at 10pm which we did not know about and were given no instructions, however, there is an emergency number written on the door. After a few rings, a lady picked up and instructed on how to get in with a PIN number.
The breakfast, which was included, is definitely nothing fancy but we loved it. Fresh bread, pastries, cheese, cold cuts, fruits, juice, yogurts,....

My recommendations, if you are young and you are in Berlin to explore then definitely stay here. Its not a place you would hang around at but its everything you need as a tourist. Cheap, clean bed, clean shower, breakfast....

We enjoyed our stay here and wish the best of luck to the whole staff!

I booked this hotel because of the good, yet few, reviews about it and I noticed that it’s a brand new hotel founded in 2012.
Upon my arrival, the first thing I noticed that there is no lobby nor even a seat or a chair at the entrance, just a small office on your left-side with one guy behind a computer, nevertheless my booking was 1 month prior to my arrival, the room wasn’t ready I’ve been given a tiny room missing a bed cover and pillow (noting, on the rooms-map attached behind the door, that all other rooms are at least the double-bigger than mine and all with the same price rate!). I asked the guy at the entrance to bring me the missing bed cover and pillow without forgetting to complain about the room size, he told me to wait for 10minutes and the problem will be fixed, and as mentioned before no place to wait in the “lobby” I went back to my room on the 3rd floor and waited there for more than 30 minutes, and when I looked around in the room I noticed that there is no Phone! So… I went back downstairs and the guy told me to wait for an additional 10 minutes, noticing the look on my face he decided to “act” right away! We picked up a room key and came with me in the elevator, stopped at the second floor, and opened another room I thought he wanted to show me my “new Room” but what he did; he took a USED cover and pillow from that room and gave them to me!!!!!!!

Sorry for this long introduction, but I wanted first just to highlight on the nonprofessional staff, i managed at the end to get another bigger and cleaner room but with a list of comments and observations. I will list, below, the good and bad things about the Hotel.

Good:
- Location: very close to public transportation, cheap small shops around, a theater at the bottom of the building, and a very recommended Italian restaurant "Osteria bei pino" at the corner behind the Hotel
- Breakfast: diverse collection of cheese, ham, marmalade, juices and boiled eggs and the best "Strong" coffee i had during my stays in several hotels in Germany.
- Internet: was very fast and free of charge.

Bad:
- No Front-Desk service,
- they never changed the bedsheets all during my 3 nights stay,
- no curtain in the shower, the water was leaking all over the toilet to the entrance door!
- no shelf in the shower to put your soap or shampoo you have to put them on the wet floor,
- the heating system, turned to the max, wasn't sufficient comparing the room's space, i couldn't take of my jacket inside the room!
- The room's curtain was a thick PLASTIC one covering the heating system, you have to chose between staying warm by opening the curtain or closing it to gain some privacy from the front buildings closely-facing my bedroom,
- you could clearly hear people talks and snoring in the adjacent rooms,
- the elevator, even so stylish and brand new, i'm sure it wont last for the next 10 year, the door wasn't responding to the open-button and you can feel it swinging when going up and down.

The location is fine if you want to stay in the Wedding area of Berlin.
The hotel is very average - it's inexpensive so you get what you pay for.
The WiFi was broken and the front desk staff were really rude and I would not recommend this property to anyone. There is no secure spot to leave luggage if you choose to have an early check in or late check out. Avoid!

We planned on going to Berlin for the Sylvester night. The Brandenburg Gate was our hotspot so we were looking for an ok hotel nearby. Thats why we chose the Arena Inn.

We had high hopes but we left the hotel very disappointed.

- The neighbourhood is really strange so please park your (expensive) cars in the garage

- There is no nightreception. In case of an emergency we didn’t know what to do

And then last but not least .... we had to wait for (luke)warm water in the morning.

I called the day reception but they did not really know what to do. “Wait for warm water and have your breakfast first”. A strange and a not so customer friendly reaction, isn’t it ?

So If you are looking for a hotel close to the. Brandenburger Tor, choose Arena Inn. If the location is not so important, you ‘d better look for something else. There are plenty hotels in Berlin.

I've been in here for two nights. I didn't like at all where the hotel is located even if it is close to an underground station and to Wedding station. It was easy to go to other part of the city but not for staying jn that zone, especially in the night. My room was big enough, with a big bathroom. So far was nice. Probably they should add some stuff in the rooms, like fridge, change the lockers. The breakfast was a buffet, they should add more variery on sweet stuff.

A very comfortable hotel for a weekend in Berlin. The Wedding U-Bahn station was literally across the street from the hotel. The hotel is in a good location and accessible to many areas from the train. The hotel room was clean and well maintained. The free breakfast offered a good choice of food. A selection of breads, cereals and jams were available also a selection of cheeses, fruit, yogurts and cured meats. Can't complain! The bed was made every day and shower was hot! Also very good.
Overall a pleasant stay.
