I ve been in this hotel last February before "pandemia". It was for the Fruitlogistica, i think is the 6 th or 7 th time I stay here. The hotel is excellent for business, with a splendid hall an very good rooms with everything to work and relax. The bar has super offer of ll kind of drinks, all top brands, ideal for "after fair" or "after office"...is these still exist ! The location is very good in Budapester St near the Zoo and walking distance from Kudamm. (Another advantage for the fair is that the Fair bus use to start in an hotel just in front). Taxi service right away at every our. Go and stay, its great and reliable.
Lovely Hotel with lots of history, especially MD. Huge lobby, grandeur from the 50's. A little dated but nice. Large rooms with dated bathrooms, complete with dodgy plumbing but can't have everything. Great location & fantastic staff- so warm & friendly, all of them. Excellent toothbrushes!
It's a pretty hotel with really nice staff. The service is great. Even though there are restrictions related to the pandemic the staff explains everything and you definitely feel safe. The breakfast was amazing with really delicious waffles, omelets, etc. And most importantly the location is great, especially if you are in Berlin to go shopping. You are walking distance from Kurfursterdamm but still far away enough that the hotel is in a quiet surrounding. The Zoo and the Tier Garten are right next to the hotel. It's a 5-minute drive to get to Brandenburger Tor, Reichstag, and Potsdamer Platz. It is also not very far from Alexander Platz by car.
Despite the challenges with the current restrictions, the staff were great and made us feel very relaxed as soon as we arrived. The room was very nice, exceptionally clean and quiet. We stayed for two nights, having an excellent breakfast both days and had a very nice dinner at the hotel on the second night, The food and service was excellent at all times. Ref location, it’s around 20 mins from the Tegal airport by taxi and we walked to Brandenberg gate in about 45 mins. Most of the time we used taxi’s to get around and to visit the main areas of the city.
The room was too old, bad and pillow were also uncomfortable. Air conditioning didn’t work properly. Spa and sauna were closed. It doesn’t worth to pay that much money to stay in such a hotel. At the check out I have approx 15 mins waited because there were only 2 personals at the reception. It was a big disappointment for me and my wife.
