I stayed here with 5 friends in winter 2020. 4 of us stayed in a cabin and the other 2 in a different one. The cabins were very warm for being winter and beds very confortable. The host was grea. The owner, Marcus, was very sociable and ready to help at any time. Also, ready to share a beer and laugh. "One night we were celebrating a birthday and we ended up having a party just 6 of us at the bar with Marcus and one of the workers DJing". There is a fire place outside where we chilled every night. Light the fire, get some beers, maybe some food to do a BBQ and chill. This place is great. Negative. The only negative thing I can think of is that at night time the toilet is a bit far (30" walk) if you need it but that's not a big issue, it's the same as going camping. I strongly recommend this place.

The hostel in general is Ok. It’s not very secure because the outdoor access to the cabins but we had no problem there. Guests aren’t allowed to use the kitchen. The breakfast is good and the hostel is clean.

I read all the awful reviews after we had booked. So I didn’t tell the rest of the family but did warn them to take earphones to block out the loud music. I made a homemade bed bug repellent/air freshener , I bought “ice towels” and devised a thief trap for if we needed to keep the door open. What can I say - I was pleasantly surprised. There was a warning about thieves operating and the gate was supposed to be locked after 11. We were always back before then. It was cheap, cheerful, toilets pretty clean, they have WiFi and beer oh and the breakfast was alright too! I’m glad we were prepared but we had a great stay!

Easy Lodges in Berlin is by far the most unsafe place I have ever stayed. I visited the camp together with my brother and our four teenage kids in the summer of 2019. I slept in one cabin (25) together with my brother and the four kids had their cabin (42) on their own. One night we got a visit to our cabin. A thief sneaked in and took all of our electronics while we were sleeping. He went into the kids' cabin but there he met my niece that was awake. Luckily he did not do anything to her and went out of the cabin but she was of course very upset. Berlin Easy lodges has no security at all - people from the outside have access to the cabins 24/7. There is a gate with a code that is open all the time and the staff invites people into the compound to have drinks and party not knowing who they are. The cabins are constructed out of metal frame, a few inches of styrofoam material as insulation a and linoleum interior (the "wood "you see on the pictures are not wood but linoleum). There is a small window the size of an A4 paper that can be opened but there is no additional ventilation besides keeping your door open. Because of the inferior insulation and the plastic interior (fire hazard...)the cabins will get very hot inside in summertime. This is what the thieves make use of - visitors need to keep the door open to get air inside the cabins. According to people on the ground they have thieves visiting 1-3 per week and we were not the first ones to be robbed. Also, we found a "key fishing rod" lying openly on the ground and construction material were put up along the low fences making it easy for intruders to just jump into the camp area. The locks that are supposed to keep burglars out are very out dated and keys are of a type you can easily pick or just copy. The police came and were quite surprised that there were no surveillance cameras. They found visible marks from a screwdriver on our lock but could not determine when the door was forced upon. I can live with poor wifi and toilets that are below standards - you get what you pay for and Easy Lodges are a cheap way to see Berlin. But I cant recommend staying a place where the risk of getting a very bad experience is so high. Easy Lodges could be a good place to stay but the basics of accommodation - to feel secure - is absent.

Obviously these are a cheap option, similar to a hostel and that’s what we were expecting. On arrival we were too early for check in so wanted to dump our bags and go out. We got sent to 2 different locations by staff which was a worrying start. In general the service was ok, a bit laid back. But the rooms were absolutely roasting, whenever we got back in the evening we had to open the doors and then sit outside with everyone else who refused to go into their rooms. They need fans or something in there cos it’s unbearable. We slept with the door open and we never felt insecure. The place is quite safe, very basic. The showers were a bit dirty when we first arrived, also girls were using the men’s cubicles which meant a massive queue for a pooh lol. I’m probably getting a bit old for hostels and used to nice hotels through work so I wouldn’t recommend unless your budget is extremely tight. Another positive is the U Bahn is walking distance and the location seems very nice and safe when walking at night

Unfortunately, my roommates and I suffered from bed bugs. the service was not good at all. they told us that they had been troubled by bed bugs before and had not fought them well. I DO NOT RECOMEND THIS PLACE AT ALL. also, the pictures did not look like it in real life at all. I am really dissapointed.

For price of 70€ you get nothing but cold and poor room. Reception is working from 8am and till that time you cant do nothing, no towel included, so you have to w8 8am and then you’l get one for 2€ Too expensive compared to the services they offer.

Great breakfast (eggs, buns, salami, cheese, yoghurt, muesli, milk, tea, coffee, Nutella, juice), nice showers, clean sheets, nice common area, suitable for families with children although it can be noisy at night (loud music); helpful staff

My wife booked a surprise weekend trip to Berlin and selected this for accommodation as she thought she was booking a pod through Booking.com. However when we turned up we were led to a very small tent with a double airbed in it. Not over happy with this we accepted but the airbed went flat a few times in the night so very uncomfortable night indeed. The next day we found someone to complain to who moved us to a bigger tent with rigid camping beds and actual room for our luggage etc so this was a marked improvement and would have been great to have that for both nights! However there appeared to be a rave on all night right through to after 5 in the morning so did not get much sleep that night either. Facility wise its just like a campsite with a shower and toilet block, bar and what seems to be constant music. Good if you don't mind not sleeping much. Basic accommodation in a good location for connections to both the airport (Schonfeld) and the city centre via the underground about 500m away.

Room Tip: If you end up in a tent insist on campbeds not airbeds as they are useless.
