Unique campsite. We stayed in one of the house things, however we turn up late (only got to have a quick drink & snacks in the club house) and had to leave early so did not see much of the campsite. Inside the campsite is not very well sign posted so a lot of our big group struggled to find were they was meant to stay. The house thing was very basic, I don't know if it was an ex-army base or something. It was quite cold in the rooms and the decor needs updating. It was a peaceful campsite. The location was pretty good.
Pros: Beautiful lake nearby, big childrens playground, lots of wc and showers, restaurant with a nice lake view Cons: depending on shift, you can get a helpful english-speaking young stuff, or completely ignorant older ones, that keep repeating "kein english" and wont help you in any way - had that twice - unacceptable in international place. Restaurant also depends on load and shift - first evening we were served fast and with fluent english, second one food was served after more than hour (i bet they just forgot us) and "kein english" again. Got discount, but evening was ruined. Tent tourists are pretty loud at night, playing music or talking, so get earplugs.
Lots of facilities, but nothing really useful for us (2 adults, 2 children 11 and 15). Pros: The technological system is really good, where you load a key with money and then use it for showers/laundry etc. Grateful to find English spoken at the main reception. There is a restaurant with very good solicitous service, great beer and views over the lake - and you can go just for the beer and view - but limited menu. Boat hire is available. Cons: No electricity for tent campers and no freezer for your ice blocks, but you can charge devices at the reception. The men’s bathroom was not clean and my slightly ASD 15yo didn’t like it much (women’s showers/bathroom very nice). Very noisy until 11pm, bring earplugs. Camp shop is limited and expensive. Tl;dr: would probably look for somewhere smaller, quieter and more expensive next time.…
Used this site as a stop on way from UK to Poland. It’s very big, lots of old cramped pitches occupied by ancient caravans and makeshift awnings. Whole site is under pine trees and touring pitches are unmarked and uneven. Toilets ok but could only find 1 MSP which was by toilets. Didn’t visit restaurant. Access to lake ok. Very well stocked caravan / motorhome accessory shop on site. Approx 2.5mls to village.
This camping has a lot to offer. There is a restaurant, but it is possible to cook over there. You can kayak over the lake, walk or bike around the lakes, ... . It's peaceful and calm over there. Everything is clean.
We stumbled on this camping by accident travelling through, and came back for a week this year! It is shaded, clean, fantastic playground, good facilities which are kept very clean, and helpful staff. Fresh bread in the mornings and a lake terrace restaurant for when you don't want to cook. Also boat, kayak, paddleboat and SUP to hire for reasonable rates. Excellent dining in the surrounding villages, good bike paths all around, and easy to use tram/S-train to go into central Berlin. The kids loved the beach, with soft sand, warm water on a beautiful lake. I can HIGHLY recommend this camping, whether you have a tent or a trailer. I think they also hire out some cabin units, but not sure...
