This hotel has very nice rooms, huge bed, comfortable, nice shower but small... with some details / conceptual errors which doesn’t make it a 5 stars ( like for example small shower while bathroom is huge with a lot of empty unused space, toilet placed too high,...) ... however if you compare with the price of mercure, ibis hotels, this place is definitely worth the price.. By comparison, it’s much higher level than the big players... So, for the price and room/service offered I would recommend this place.. Service is also very nice and good..

We found this hotel on the road to Paris. Very well run by the owners Mr & Mrs Vautier. Hotel very cosy for a romantic stay or a family weekend/week break. The table is so magic, Michelin starred chef Ivan Vautier is running the show. Exceptional and so well priced. Recommend warmly the Hotel and the table. Well done.....the industry has found a home.

The hotel is using the name of Chef Ivan Vautier who runs a one star Michelin restaurant in a complex attached to the hotel. He denied, however, having anything to do with the hotel when we challenged him. We booked a package deal on the hotel's website. This was supposed to include 3 nights in a superior room, breakfast, access to SPA and two SPA treatments, total cost 513 Euros.. The last day we talked to the receptionist, trying to set up the SPA treatments. He claimed that we did not have any package, because the hotel never offered any. We showed him the email confirmation from the hotel, but he rudely declined to do anything. Poor English. Next morning on check out, we were presented with a bill that totalled 702 Euros instead of 513, as the same receptionist as the night before had added the full tariff of 35 Euros x 3 (two people breakfast). We refused to pay, and was told that was OK, the hotel had all our details. I had booked the hotel on my Mastercard, but did not sign or authorize anything at the hotel. Two days later, I found that the amount had been charged on my card. No communication of any kind from the hotel. So, I have contacted my bank, and reported abuse and illegal charge. The hotel was OK, but you need a car to get around. The bathroom is modern ridiculous with no door! The breakfast buffet is the limited French kind, not worth the money.. But the hotel is not worth the money. You will be better off with a modern hotel in the centre of Caen. Nice city.

We had zero issues with the hotel. We would definitely stay here again. The rooms were very clean, comfortable bed, and only had a shower. The breakfast that was included was very good. The front desk staff were helpful on sight seeing suggestions. Enjoy!!

My company booked me at this hotel because of its 5 Star rating and statements made on their website. The is hotel is not a 5 star hotel and I would not recommend it. It is a basic hotel with extremely small rooms. The hotel staff did not speak English even though their website stated they do. The WiFi did not work on my iPhone when I went to my room. I mentioned it to the front desk staff and she had to type in the URL! Not sure why she didn’t say this at check-in when I stated it while trying to connect in the lobby. Their website also notes they have several available tours. I asked for a tour of the beaches and memorial. I assumed the tour van would pick me up at the hotel, since it was booked by them however, after she booked it she told me I had to find my own transportation to get there! The city bus stop was right outside the hotel but she told me the wrong bus to get one. I believe this was done on purpose but I can’t prove it! The restaurant is over priced and one pre-selected dinner every night. The hotel is also located a good distance from the center of town. A taxi is 18 euros one way. So you can pay for a taxi, ride the bus for 20 minutes with multiple stops or walk 45 minutes just to get to a place for dinner! Again, it was a decent hotel but definitely not 5 Star. If you have a choice as to where to stay I would find a location closer to the center of town and with staff who actually speak several languages! I was extremely disappointed with this hotel, it’s accommodations and the staff!
