I had made a self-induced mess of my booking and the manager spent a whole lot of time helping me to sort it out. I was so impressed and I really look forward to staying here again. The hotel is in a vibrant downtown location within 50 metres of the train station.

I’m a Canadian who came to visit the D day memorial sites. We got off the train and the hotel was conveniently right there when you get off. Unfortunately my girlfriend and I got here on a Sunday when mostly everything is shut down including the car rental places. So we really had no way to get there besides paying an astronomical price for a cab. When we told Mary, the owner, about our dilemma and she literally went above and beyond to help us. She got us on a tour bus and we got to see the beaches of Normandy. Which was a dream come true for me. I can’t say enough about how gracious she was. When we got back she even carried my huge backpack to the room hahaha. She really made my stay in Caen a happy one. And besides all of that the woman is a Canadian. What do you want people just sleep at the hotel :)

This small, cozy hotel is located right across the Caen train and bus station. The bed is comfortable and showers are hot with good water pressure (sometimes this is difficult to find in Europe). No lift, but the kind owner helped me with my luggage to the 1st floor. The continental breakfast was wonderful (surcharge) includes coffee, orange juice, croissant, baguette, yogurt and cheese/cold meat if you want. The one thing I enjoyed the most is the owner, Mary who made me feel welcome from day 1. I bought three different types of apple cider (famous in the Normandy region) to share and she was kind enough to tell me the differences between the ciders, and taught me how to uncork them properly. Thanks, Mary for the hospitality!!! If I'm in the area again, I will definitely be back.

I stayed here for two night while touring the Normandy DDay sites. I cannot say enough good things about this cute little hotel. I arrived by train and simply walked across the street. I was late arriving but the owner(Maryse) was there and checked me in. I had a little room but it was recently updated. Great shower, lots of plugs to charge electronic devices and a comfy bed.. Like many small European hotel's there was no elevator, so if you travel with 4 suitcases this might not be the hotel for you. I paid approx 65 Euro and I felt like I got every penny's worth and more. Breakfast is a simple continental affair but good. I had quite a few questions but Maryse was able to help me, she also had a great restaurant suggestion for dinner as well. As a bonus, the car rental agency had left my keys and paperwork at the hotel as a courtesy, as they close relatively early and the hotel owner finalized the car rental and gave me my keys for the rental. I will definitely stay here on my next trip.

We chose this because it was near the station and it was a night sleepover but what a surprise it turned out to be. The lovely host greeted us with smile and knew who we were because of my unique foreign name. Registered us and we were up to our room. Even volunteered to carry our heavy bags up to the second floor. Room: Medium sized rooms with new modern finishes and bright bathroom. Clean. Separate shower booth with toiletries. We needed hot water and she boiled up a kettle for us. Returned it after making some hot drinks. Other hotels only gave us a cup of hot water when there was no kettle in the room . Hotel is right next to the tram station and across the road from the train and bus stations - convenient for Ouibus, Flixbus. A host who made us feel like home, friendly and helpful. Truly a good place to stay in Caen.
