Super convenient as it is in the heart of the city centre, 5mins walk from subway, plenty of shops and restaurants... Rooms a tad small but clean. Cycling around the city is strongly recommended! Good place to stay.
I've been going to this novotel for my personal business trips and it's by far the novotel with the utmost personality. A special thanks to Camille and Cherlise for their professionalism and for always making sure that I make the best out of my trips. Great location and with all the best cuisine nearby. A combination for a great stay.
This is an excellent hotel for the price being centrally located for pretty much all you could want in this fabulous French city. The rooms are plenty large enough with excellent shower and toilet facilities. Wifi is strong & solid and heating is adjustable in each room. Breakfast is good quality with a choice of cooked or continental. Staff are helpful and speak good English. We went for a rugby game as a team of four and none of us had any complaints. There is an enormous choice of bars, cafes, and restaurants next, door, near by and a short walk away but you might want to find the market place just around the corner where a whole array of top quality food is for sale but also, on the first floor, there is a wide array of boutique cafe/restaurants all selling high quality local produce. Every desire is catered for. The only thin that might disappoint is you may have to queue as it it very popular with the locals which should tell you all you need to know..…
Positives: good beds, no noises from the street or otherwise (ask for a room facing the inner courtyard), location (could not be better, right in the center), small but okay fitness. Negatives: faulty key cards (had to change them twice a day over a 5 day period, really annoying, even when keeping them away from mobiles), impersonal check in (even though I am a Gold member), not the best breakfast ever (low cost orange juice without taste, scrambled eggs that were solid, little choice in breads). All in all the novotel Wilson disappointed us because it is lacking in atmosphere (the reception and the breakfast room feels like a 70s hospital with the white walls and white tiles). Certain staff were helpful and smiling but overall staff were just...bland. But the price and the location make up for a lot.…
The hotel has a great location, very good facilities and very friendly and professional staff. We would particularly like to thank Denzel in reception for his amazing help and service. On a negative note we found breakfast not up to normal Accor standards. However, for us there was a major issue with parking our car; on a cold wet and windy evening all the nearby carparks were full and we spent over an hour finding parking. The nearby Mercure has a car park . . why can the Novotel, in the same Accor group, not have a deal with Mercure to enable their guests to have reserved parking there??.
