Average location, checkin and facilities. Worth the price (around 40 e) but wouldnt pay more. It was for a short night so i dont regret the choice, though id recommend to pay for a bit more standard if you want to spend time in your hotel- budget is in the name, and that tells it all
The rooms are below basic - uncomfortable beds, no chair just a plastic stool. Very limited hanging space and no shelving to speak off. As for the bedding, there is a plastic under sheet, with a thin cotton over sheet. As you warm, you quickly sweat and the bed becomes humid - very unpleasant. As for the parking, you need to get someone from the hotel with a key to lower an individual barrier on each parking space. Beware the spaces aren't that wide and even narrower when someone parks on the white lines. During our stay the reception was being re-decorated and the smell of paint wasn't very nice. For an Ibis Budget Hotel is was below standard.
The room, location and parking was ok. The hotel was being renovated so being woken up before 8 o'clock by builders hammering and drilling was not on. Thoughly ruined our stay in Toulouse as we were both tied from traveling then being woken up was not appricated. Pillows were also the worst I've ever had in a hotel room and we were provided with only one each.
To be fair, with low rates such as these you can't expect luxury. Telling that the hotel has the word "budget" in its name. Room was very plain and simple, reasonably clean. The breakfast room pleasant with even an outdoor area. Reception staff pleasant and efficient. The hotel is however a long way from the centre and sights. Expect to have to walk 20 minutes at the very least. Worse still, there is precious little in the immediate vicinity in the way of shops, bars or restaurants. Pleasant however to sit by the canal, under the trees. The worst surprise came at breakfast, courtesy of the man who served and organised service. I speak French with a certain degree of fluency but obviously not perfectly. I pointed out, perfectly politely, that there were no more plates. His only reply was to hurl a paper plate at me saying "well, if you say it like that!". I'm still not sure after all this time what I did wrong, but clearly another gentleman in the queue behind me, a French national, also tripped up and was told off for not giving his room number in the right tone of voice. Unbelievable.…
Good location near the station. Easy 15 minutes walk to the town centre. Did not try breakfast, as normal. Check-in easy. Room clean. Normal Ibis Budget facilities. The bed and pillows were quite uncomfortable.
