A nice, clean hotel in great location, near to the Capitol and metro station Jan D’ Arc. Very polite and helpfull stuff. The only problem is that the sound isolation off the rooms is a bit problematic
I had read mixed reviews of this hotel but approached it with an open mind. The exterior does not look up to much but on entering the experience is a good one,Firstly the receptionists were polite and professional,no problem at all checking in The room was small but well established, the shower was hot and powerful and the bed was comfortable. The room was on the 2nd floor at the back and was double glazed so very quiet.I didnt accept the offer of breakfast as the cafe on the corner was very good. The concierge was also very friendly and helpful. There are lots of cafes and restaurants and bars nearby and the train station is about 10 minutes walk away. The centre is within easy walking distance and getting to and from the airport by bus could not be easier.
Very comfortable room on the second floor, with adequate breakfast in a basement room. Walking distance of all central Toulouse activites, but also a stone's throw from metro, buses, and airport shuttle bus stop. Friendly staff, and very good value for money. This is the 2-star hotel of this name, not to be confused with the 3- and 4-star hotels in the vicinity. Why pay more?!
To start on a positive note: The breakfast is great. It starts early, at least from six. The coffee is good, and they seem to allow people to get coffee and other drinks from the breakfast area until after midnight. The personnel is active, and they are collecting and washing the cups and dishes from early to late in the morning. The downside of this all, was that I could hear every detail of this from storage room turned hotel room 60 that they had put me in, as it was located right next to the breakfast area. I lamented the guest in room 70, as its door exits right into the breakfast area in between two tables. I complained about it at around 1 am after I had been woken up several times, but the receptionist claimed with his most friendly face that the hotel was full and that they could not put me in another room. I doubt this, because this seems a quiet time of year and the second morning of my stay the breakfast room was much fuller than the first morning. For the second night I was given a room at the first floor - this room was perfectly fine, no problem at all, and I slept well. Unfortunately the damage was already done as I practically did not sleep at all in room 60 - I have had to struggle myself through an important talk that I was invited for at the university. If they would turn back room 60 and 70 into what they must have been originally, storage rooms, this hotel would be perfectly fine.…
I took this 2* hotel because of past reviews and it's location and wasn't let down. It was easy to get to from the airport, just hop on the 'Navette' shuttle bus and get off at Jeanne D'Arc and it's about 100 yards. 8EU single. Check-in was painless in the small reception area. My room was a bit quirky, decent size bed (I was by myself) but the toilet, shower room and wash room were all separate. All worked however. It was a bit basic but had everything. I took breakfast there which cost 7EU. No hot selections but cereals, yoghurt, fruits, toast and preserves etc, fruit juices and of course coffee/tea etc, all self service. Hotel location is excellent, you can get to everything on foot or by bus/underground which is nearby. If you are going to the rugby it's 4 stops on the underground to Barriere de Paris from where there is a free shuttle bus to the Stadium Ernest Wallon. Loads of bars, restaurants etc nearby including two Irish bars. The splendid Victor Hugo market is opposite and on the first floor there are 5 restaurants, all good. You can get half a dozen oysters and a glass of champagne n the market if you fancy a change! A pleasant stay altogether apart from the weather and I'd reccommend the hotel although basic.…
