Given the pandemic situation was the hotel checking in guests in a spaced environment. Notably were sanitizers available across the lobby. Check in was prompt and friendly, credit card number deposited in case of extras and hey presto did I get my room card and was on the way - I did not use the porter service as I only had one case. The room was functional though it lacked slippers, something I recall I found when last time at a Crowne Plaza in Nairobi. As a result I used a set of spare socks to avoid skin contact with the well worn carpet. I found enough socket spaces on the working desk and the high speed WiFi kicked in the moment I had entered the password - which I needed to ask reception for as it was not provided on check in ... When I opened the envelope I was given at reception I found a brief room service menu - all there was to get either lunch or dinner as the restaurant was only open for breakfast. I ordered several meals during my stay - included in my package - and while the portions were smallish was the quality ok(ish), nothing extraordinary, just filling the stomach. I would otherwise have opted to get take aways from some of the restaurants near and on the Place Capitol which look very tempting and smelled divine! Hot water in the bathroom was available the moment the tap was opened, a good feature. Located right in the centre of the city next to the Grand Place Capitole, was walking around easy and the major landmarks close by. Overall was my impression that the hotel is way overdue for an upgrade and refurbishment but given that 2020 was a miserable year for the hospitality industry, this may have to wait for a lot longer to happen. Front office staff were friendly and the staff in the dining room at breakfast, very very helpful and friendly - and I name Cynthia as one who excelled in her job and went the extra mile! Thank you!…
We visited Toulouse for a couple of days and wanted to stay in a hotel close to the city center. In fact, we have chosen this hotel as it is just off Place Capitole and there is a 7/24 parking close by, in walking distance, at Pace Capitole. The staff was very friendly, gave us a patio room on the fourth floor, which therefore was very quiet. The breakfast was very good, and portions of the food were prepared, which was great given the Covid-19 situation.
Summary: location, location, location. What better location in Toulouse can you build a hotel? Not too many. Shops, historical sites, restaurants, transportation... all surrounding this hotel! Pros: - Again: Location, Location, Location! - Very friendly and helpful staff - Nice breakfast - Large and comfortable rooms - Not a new property, but properly maintained Cons: - Looking for amenities? Look outside (it was only a minor issue to me) - If you pick a room facing the Capitole, it can be a bit noisy - Heavy traffic if you want to get in and out by car during peak hours I stayed at this hotel for a month during a business trip. Overall, I couldn't ask for more from a hotel, especially at the price I was charged. Take out a map and see where the hotel is. It is at the Capitole! The hotel is in a corner of a square with restaurants, coffee shops, and retail stores there. Subway station is a 5-min walk, and the Garonne is 15 mins walk away. There are numerous historical churches and museums closeby. Michelin and budget friendly restaurants, retails stores, shopping malls, supermarkets... if you are the social type, this place IS THE PLACE! That's right. If you are the type who enjoys quietness... remoteness... then this place is not for you. Staff... can make or break a hotel. This hotel's staff is excellent! Always helpful and friendly. There was not a moment when I felt I was helpless when I was thousands of miles away from home. I always got the help I asked for (of course, I was always reasonable). The hotel is not new, but it has been properly maintained. For what they charged me and the quality of service I was given, I will stay there again should I end up in that corner of the world in the future! Merci!…
The hotel staff is very friendly and the front desk speaks great English. They are very helpful and patient. The property itself though is in need of a total overhaul. Everything is worn out. The lounge on the 5th floor is a joke. The coffee maker is broken. They never stock drinks in the tiny fridge they have. The food they serve in there looks like a child made it. Which takes me to the food. Do not order room service here. Actually just flat out don’t eat here. The food is horrid. The fast food spot Tacos 31 is better and mega cheap. I got room service 2x and the first one was good. Second was shameful. I ordered a pizza and it was burnt. I also ordered an apple pie. For 15 euro I literally got nothing. The prices are shocking for what you get. Just don’t bother. Corporate Crowne Plaza should be ashamed. But again, the staff is top notch. …
Central location on main square. You can easily walk to museums, churches, and other attractions. Many restaurants available, the best on side streets off the main square. Subway stop is three minutes walk away.
