In the heart of the capital, on the famous rue du Faubourg Saint-Honoré and a few minutes from the Champs-Élysées, Le PLEY HOTEL is a unique and original hotel. Designed as a place to live, the PLEY offers a vintage atmosphere inspired by the 1930s and referring to the rich radio history of the 8th arrondissement of Paris, where the first Parisian radio stations were born.

Pley Hotel emerges as a favorite for its cleanliness and music-themed atmosphere, which guests frequently commend, adding a lively touch to the stay. The hotel's coveted location near the metro and iconic attractions like the Arc de Triomphe is a highlight among visitors. While the rooms earn plaudits for their comfort and amenities, some guests have noted them to be on the smaller side and occasionally noisy. The staff's exceptional service is often mentioned, although views on value and amenities are mixed, with some finding them basic for a 4-star establishment.

For the first time in downtown Paris, I was pleasantly surprised with this hotel. We were greeted by hotel staff who spoke both English and French. We had 2 adjoining rooms for 2 nights at this hotel for a total of about $500 each night. One room had a queen bed and was smaller in size. The other room was bigger and had 2 twin beds pushed together, and a oversized sofa bed chair that was unfolded and made for us before arrival. Each room had its own central air thermostat- unlike the loud A/C units like those in U.S. hotels.

The rooms were clean (no dirty feet) and the decor was clean and modern. We could even see the Eiffel Tower from our window! Starting at around 10pm at night we got to see the Eiffel tower do its sparkling light display.
The location was about a 10 minute walk from the subway/Champs elysees, which was doable. It was another 10 minute walk to the Arc de Triomph. A small Carrefour Market is just down the street for some quick necessities. Many dining options are within walking distance too.

The breakfast buffet was among some the best foods we had while Paris. The spread ranged from pan au chocolat, to yogurt, fruit, mini crepes, muffins, and bread with cheese spreads and ham- plus more. Highly recommend paying extra for the breakfast buffet. The servers were really nice and courteous as well.

The only negatives I have about this hotel are that the smaller, Queen room is relatively small so you're sleeping pretty close to the door and can hear when people are in the small hallway. The chair sofa bed was not very comfortable, as expected. Also, the glass shower door needs a better design because water seeps through the bottom of the shower door even when it's closed, resulting in a pool of water on the bathroom floor. (The other room had a tub with an adjustable shower head, which is typical in France).
All in all, I would recommend this place!

Such a great, stylish, inexpensive and perfectly located property. We'd definitely recommend!

Pley has a cool radio/broadcasting theme and is a few minutes walk from the Champs Elysees and the Arc de Triomphe. We really enjoyed our short weekend stay at Pley.

The hotel and bar have a cool, friendly vibe and the bar area is perfect for cocktails before you go out in the evening (the Moscow Mule had a kick!). The rooftop wasn't open yet when we stayed but we will definitely check it out in future.

Our standard room was spacious and again, stunning in design and concept with a great floor-to-ceiling mirror and really big bed. We did our research but we surprised by how big it was, especially compared to many other Paris hotels. Not much of a view from our internal facing room, just the offices and internal rooftop. Other rooms may differ.

We paid to have breakfast on our last day and it was good, with some cooked items too (sausages, bacon, eggs). The waiter gave us a lovely smoothie shot to start our day which was a nice touch. There are lots of places nearby to have breakfast though.

Ours was a romantic trip but there were families with kids and business travellers in the hotel at the same time so it seems popular with different groups.

Reception arranged taxis for us to different parts of Paris and they came within minutes. The Moulin Rouge was roughly ten minutes by taxi and Notre Dame about 15/20.

Wish we'd taken more photos but you won't be disappointed.

Oh, the elevators/lifts are tiny so if you have large cases you may have to go one at a time :)

Stay here if you're in Paris!

I really enjoyed my stay at Pley Hotel. Located in a buzzing location that is moments from the Arc de Triumph and the Champs Elysees, the street of the hotel is calm and quiet so perfect for a great night's sleep after a busy day of sightseeing. Also a short walk from the beautiful Parc Monceau, perfect for a morning walk. The room was a great design and included a vintage radio that is a cool theme throughout the hotel. The room was very clean and the hotel staff were all very welcoming and attentive. The room also had USB charging ports for convenience.

We were traveling as a group of three and had two rooms. Check in was good and they did get our rooms together which was a big help. The beds were comfortable. I reserved a standard room for the single and a bit larger room for the double. Unfortunately, the standard room didn’t have a coffee maker, there was only hot water for tea and instant coffee. The blow dryer was on the wall and kept overheating and shutting off. At 6am, you needed the ear plugs they provided as it sounded like a cart race. One morning they were beating on the door, with the do not disturb tag on, because there was water pouring into an area on the 1st floor. The woman was in a panic and thought the water was coming from our shower except we weren’t showering at 6am. We let the front desk know we were leaving if they needed to enter our room and she had no idea what we were talking about.

The hotel bar/restaurant was very limited and expensive, a 10” frozen pizza was 17€ and happy hour prices were more than regular prices of anywhere else in the area. It was pretty cold and would have been nice not to leave the hotel but unfortunately you have to if you want decent food. We didn’t do the breakfast, but based on the other food offerings, I can’t imagine it would have been worth the cost.

The location could have been better, nearest metro was 8-10 minute walk. There were, however, many restaurants nearby. The gentleman who checked us in spoke excellent English and turned out to be very helpful with restaurant recommendations, directions, and where to get Covid tests. (BTW, the pharmacy across the street to the left was very helpful with Covid testing).

The stay at this hotel was disappointing. We found the staff to be unapologetic and rude, and generally not helpful. When we arrived after 20 hrs of travel, after check in time, our room was not ready. It took them a full hour past the check in time to prepare our room. We let it go... We then discovered that the rooftop patio was closed and under renovation - which was a primary reason we booked this location. We were not made aware of this at booked. Again, we let it go. However, on the second night our 13 yr old son was trapped in their elevators for over an hour. We missed a family excursion that was pre paid and found the event very stressful. The hotel told us our stay on Saturday night would be "taken care of" to compensate us for our trouble. However, at check out time, the front desk staff had no knowledge of this and charged us payment in full!!! We eventually got a 70 Euro credit for the cost of our coffees during our stay. So disappointing - considering a family trip it Paris is a once in a lifetime event, and we missed a very expensive excursion because of their mechanical problems. Since our departure our travel agent has tried relentlessly to follow up and has had no response. A very disappointing experience and I would not advise anyone to spend a cent in their hotel.

Dear Cathleen, Thank you so much for taking some time to share your feed back today. I am very sorry that you had to wait an hour after such a long flight before we could give you your room key. The hotel was fully booked with many leisure clients and families that sometimes check out at the latest possible time, which gives us a limited time to clean the rooms for the upcoming guests. I am deeply sorry about that and I take the full responsibility for the inconvenience this may have caused. With regards to our roof top, we would have loved to let you experience it, however, it is going through a full refurbishment that is due to end on May 5th. As soon as this refurbishment was confirmed, we have indicated on our website that PLEY HOTEL PARIS roof top will be welcoming you from May 9th 2022 in order not to create any frustration for any of our guests. Local and international travelers. In addition, I would like to highlight that most of the Parisian hotel roof tops officially open on May 1st every year. Regarding you son who got stuck in the elevator, this is very sad indeed and I would have loved this incident not to happen of course. However, and as I have clearly indicated to your travel agent on many emails, I have been made aware on this incident right away and despite the fact that it was a Saturday and that I was out of town, I did handle the situation myself and immediately. Our elevator maintenance company came right away, and your son spent 45 minutes in the elevator because of a technical issue that was totally unpredictable as our six elevators are maintained regularly as it is required by law. I would be happy to share with you any security check paperwork should you want to have a look at them. I am sorry that you have missed your family excursion and if I may, I would like to share with you a personal experience. Back in 2001, I was travelling to NYC and took a flight back at a certain date because I was due to attend one of my best friend’s wedding in Paris. For some technical reason, the aircraft never took off. I have missed the wedding of my friend and no one at American Airlines even took a minute to answer my complaint. I always find disappointing that hotels are being blamed so easily for some reasons that sometimes remain unproved by their authors when in the meantime, we do accept everything from all major company on which we have absolutely no power. In your testimonial, may I bring to your attention that you forgot to mention that a macaron platter along with cocktails have been delivered to your room? Concerning the misunderstanding in our front desk communication, the two ladies that you are mentioning below are the Hotel Manager and the Deputy Front Office manager. These two ladies have mentioned that they will extend a discount on the night of the incident. It is in our standards and guidelines to never commit on a complimentary night before having the General Manager approval. I think this is where the confusion comes from. These two ladies have a very good level of English and I trust their words were handpicked in such a sensible situation. I am sorry if their words were understood in a different way. Given this confusion, I have decided to waive all the extra expense from your bill, which represents more than your coffees. There were precisely 6 emails written between your travel agent Tara and myself since you left, sadly despite my proposal we never got to talk about it on the phone as I have offered. In the last email sent to Tara this morning, I did write that what I can now do is “What I want to do for your clients is to take very good care of their next stay in Paris. Please feel free to contact me if there is anything I can do to help.” Then your testimonial popped up on Trip Advisor. I sincerely hope that you will trust that I have spent hours replying to your travel agent (I can easily forward you all our communications) and that I have worked on some solutions for you to have a memorable stay with us. This part of your comment on Trip Advisor “Since our departure our travel agent has tried relentlessly to follow up and has had no response” is very harmful given the efforts that my team and I are consistently giving to our guests. Wishing you a lovely day, Henri-François Tiberi General Manger

Pley hotel junior suite was an interesting stay. The hotel is music themed and decor is lovely. Check in was smooth. The bar staff is awesome! Our suite was incredibly spacious and comfortably fit 3 adults. The biggest issue was the extraordinary odor of cat urine in the beautiful bathroom of our suite. In addition to cat hair strands. If you are allergic to animals, be advised that this hotel allows pets. Our bathroom must've recently housed a cat prior to our stay and the odor remained relentless day in and day out. I voiced my concern to Kevin at the front desk whos cold demeanor all but told me that he could care less. There was no apology or explanation, just a reply of "ok" when I mentioned how terrible the smell in our bathroom was. I recommended the hotel professionally clean that bathroom as cat urine is an odor that isn't easy to just air freshener away. I also found it interesting that the hotel was actively advertising Smash burger directly next door, we went and got food from their advertised recommendation but then were told we couldn't eat it in the lounge area. Also note that the weather outside was in the upper 60's, low 70's but he heat had already been turned on and no fans or AC unit. We were luckily able to sleep with the windows wide open but some evenings that wasn't enough to keep the room temp comfortable and not too hot. On our last evening at the Pley hotel, we returned to find only one bath towel in our bathroom. The hotel then delivered bath robes to dry off with as they had run out of towels. Lol... Overall it was decent stay, quiet hotel with mostly great staff (except for Kevin who could use some customer service training especially when the room is nearly $600/night). Kudos to the exceptional and friendly lobby bar staff!

Dear Christina, I would like to thank you for taking the time to write a review and sharing your experience with us and others. Thank you so much for mentioning my team's attitude. Just to let you know Kevin doesn't work with us anymore. In our hotel, we all work with a passion for hospitality, and for that making our Guests' stay the most enjoyable and memorable as possible is our main goal. As far concerned the AC unfortunately because of the crazy and unpredictable weather we were obliged to turn it off and turn on many times this month but normally from october is quiet cold outside that's why you found the heater on. I am very sorry to hear that the quality of the team’s service didn’t meet your expectations. If you ever feel a certain way about the service don’t ever hesitate to tell us Immediately so that we could resolve the problem or inconvenience as soon as possible. I am going to verify what happened and make sure such a situation will never appear again. Once again, We would like to thank you for pointing this situation out it is definitely going to help us improve our quality. We hope welcome you again for your next trip to Paris and give you the best service possible. Sincerely, Luca A. Front desk manager

A colleague and I stayed here 3 nights, before/after a work event. We both fell in love with the rooms and the decor, and the staff was very accommodating and professional. That said, the hotel and the food/beverage pieces are NOT in synch. The hotel offers a rooftop bar with a view of the Eiffel Tower, which is lovely. But they offer outside reservations at the expense of paying guests, who aren't allowed there if it's booked. The bar should be a perk of paying guests ahead of outside clients and if not, should be advertised as a separate venue. 24 hour room service is advertised on the website. I tried twice to order and both times it was an utter disaster. The hotel offers a QR code reader "quick order " service but my QR order was never placed. When I called the front desk to ask about it, they had no record of it. Apparently, those orders go to the bar and the desk doesn't track them. The second attempt was worse. There are only 2 food choices for room service, both are pizzas. The room flyer shows sandwiches and fries, and some other options from "the restaurant next door". But you only get to choose from 2 pizzas, pepperoni and margherita. Ok. I ordered the margherita, and after my initial experience, called the front desk directly to order. Waited nearly an hour and called to ask status. I was told someone would be at my door soon. After another 15 minutes I went downstairs to ask. I was told it would be 5 minutes. After almost 10 minutes I was brought a cold, half cooked microwave pizza. I returned it and ordered another. It was marginally better but still not even fully heated. This was very surprising, because the breakfast service has been, for the most part, very good. It almost seems as if the hotel wants to be a club at night rather than focus on serving hotel guests. I had been planning to recommend this hotel to everyone I knew visiting Paris, but now not so sure. I hope this is a glitch they will fix, because the rooms themselves are fantastic. Just don't plan to eat/drink there.

Dear Kelly, I would like to thank you very much for having stayed with us but also for sharing such constructive feedback. Please, let me focus my answer on what you disliked. Regarding the access to the hotel roof top, It is indeed key for me to give access to our hotel guest as well as to our local neighbors. In an ideal world, our reception team should have informed you at time of check in that should you like to enjoy the roof top, it is highly recommended to book a table. I am very sorry if this was not done. Concerning the room service experience, I will see with our team what happened in detail and especially on what day/time you have tried to order but, in any case, it will not change anything to the poor moment you have experienced. Please accept my sincere apologies for the lack of good service there. The food and beverage outlets of the hotel are trying to reopen after the long and complicated covid situation and therefore, our offer is clearly not ready, and I am sorry about it as there is obviously an internal communication issue in what can be offered or not. I take the full responsibility on this matter, and I can only invite you to contact me the next time you are staying with us and to rely on us to give you the best of the PLEY Hotel Paris. Thanks again for your contribution and the team and I are wishing you a pleasant day. Henri - General Manager

This Hotel in the heart of Paris has a very cool and chic retro look in the rooms, reception area and restaurant, styled with radio days motto. The breakfast has a wide selection for every taste from hearty to healthy. The location is perfect if you want to go sightseeing or shopping, several sights and shops are in walking distance from the hotel, and there also are several métro stations nearby. Last but not least the hotel staff is very friendly and helpful.

Stayed here on a recent trip to Paris. The location is great and the breakfast is perfect.
My main issue was with the bed it was two singles pushed together and very uncomfortable mattress. My main concern was the very strong horrible smell in the room it was actually overwhelming when you entered the room and upon talking to other guests it was other rooms than ours also.
Overall it’s a budget hotel with a great location it’s handy if you won’t be in the room all the time but it’s not a comfortable lounging room.
