Cannot say enough about how much I loved this hotel. We stayed for 4 days in early March and the rooms were fairly compact, but very well appointed and comfortable. The room had a fantastic bathroom with a wonderful shower that would normally be accompanied by a more expensive nightly hotel rate. Additionally, the staff were very warm and friendly...

Thanks to TA, we found this wonderful hotel for our first stay in Paris. The location, just around the corner from the Rue Navarre entrance to the Place Monge Metro stop, and a few minutes walk to the Cardinal Lemoine stop was excellent; it made traveling all over Paris on the Metro very easy and convenient. Our first impression was...

Hotel Monge proved the perfect base for our recent visit to Paris. It is a hugely stylish boutique hotel in a terrific location in the Latin Quarter. There are two metro stations within a few minutes walk, no.10 that will take you to sights along the left bank and no.7 that crosses the river to the Louvre, the Opera and...

I am so happy I booked this hotel after reading all the excellent reviews on TripAdvisor. Upon our early arrival, our room wasn't ready, but no worries. We were able to check in, freshen up in their stylish and clean restroom, securely store our bags, and be off to explore Paris in just a few minutes. After getting into our...

I echo every positive comment posted here. The hotel is delightful--comfortable, well decorated, thoughtfully designed rooms, lovely bathroom--with a window overlooking the Arene de Lutece (!)-- and a very very good breakfast. But it is the staff that makes this hotel--they are extremely pleasant and accommodating. Special thanks to Lucie, Cristina, and Sans (the night receptionist)for all of their help...

Very quiet on the 6th floor with lovely shower and excellent comfy bed - just right for weary feet after a day out and about! Nice staff. We didn't have breakfast in and it would be a lovely touch if there was an opportunity to make a drink in the room. You can only get tea/coffee after 11 in the...

Possibly the best hotel I've stayed in for ~250 euros/night. Location is perfect, the staff are kind and helpful. The breakfast has everything it should. Stylish interior, loved the birds theme. Good location, almost everything can be reached by foot within 15 minutes.

Visited with 3 of my friends sharing 2 rooms. The hotel has been recently updated and didn't disappoint. Firstly the hotel is very easy to access from the metro with just a 200 yard walk from Cardinal Lemione station. Rooms are excellently appointed and beautifully decorated. We were on the 5th floor with view across he amphitheater at the back....

Nice hotel with very neat decoration and easy walking distance to Notre dame and Latin quarter. The surroundings are also Perfect with some small cafes and very Parisian style and rather quite. Got a beautiful room towards the garden park behind the hotel. The breakfast was also good in the lobby area. Would come back here privatly also later on.

I had the pleasure of staying at Hotel Monge for five nights during my recent trip to Paris. Immediately upon arrival I was made to feel very welcomed, which continued throughout my stay. Staying in Quartier Latin

Neighbourhood Profile
Quartier Latin
The Latin Quarter bursts with intellectual life, architectural splendour and ongoing merriment. The small streets are filled with classical buildings, student bars and lively eateries while the squares are dominated by historic monuments. The area is defined by the 800-year-old Sorbonne University, where Latin once prevailed, and is famous for the Pantheon which celebrates the great men and women of France. During the day students rush from classes to the library and intellectuals people watch from the terraced cafés. As night time falls the surrounding establishments fill up and the merriment really begins. The liveliest parts are around Rue Mouffetard, lined with crêperies and international street food eateries, and Place de la Contrescarpe characterised by terraced brasseries, this neighbourhood provides real nourishment for the mind, belly, and soul.
