Hotel Monge is a superb hotel. Located closed to St Germain area and walking distance from Notre Dame and the Louvre, it is an extraordinary and lovely hotel. Just refurbished, it is comfortable and cossy. Decoration is nicely done and the staff is very nice. Small breakfast but very well assorted (great orange juice by the way). Pretty near arriving...

This new beautifully-designed boutique hotel has been recreated out of a former residence with only 30 rooms, a sauna and massage room, and a comfortable lounge and eating area. The staff was extremely professional, accommodating and friendly, and did everything possible to make our stay perfect. It is close to the heart of Paris without being too close. The rooms...

The hotel rooms were immaculate and smelt like a perfumery. The hotel was a bit far away from the main attractions, but it was right next to a subway which was quite handy, especially for travel to the airport. We love to walk and explore though so it didn't bother us at all. The hotel also offers free coffee and...

From the moment we entered, we were greeted by extremely friendly staff to help with check in as well as our baggage and getting us settled in. The room was great, and everything was very clean and all ready for us to get comfortable in our room. The breakfast buffet was great, but it was even better to have access...

This is an absolutely beautiful hotel! We arrived a little early and were thankfully able to check in early; however, they would have happily held our bags if the room wasn't ready. It's situated between two Metro stations, both just a few steps away (the Metro is super easy to figure out, by the way) and a short walk to...

We had a great stay. We'd stay there again in a heartbeat. Very friendly and in a good location. It's a small hotel but that was perfect for us because it seemed very comfy and cozy. It's newly decorated and well appointed. Our room was quiet and the bed was very comfortable. Slept like a baby. One of the nicest...

We stayed at Hotel Monge in Jan 17. As our first trip to Paris the staff for so helpful in pointing out places to visit and how to get there. We arrived early but the room was available within 15 minutes and we were offered a free upgrade (I guess for my wife's 30th)! The hotel itself was beautiful and...

We visited Hotel Monge over the festive period 24 - 27 Dec. We arrived early at the hotel but this was not a problem at all. The room wasn't quite ready so we waited in the lounge/breakfast area and were told to help ourselves to a hot drink and snack. It wasn't long before we were told our room was...

Beautiful hotel, very friendly staff. Newly refurbished to a very high standard. Very comfy bed and nice L'occataine toiletries. Lounge area with coffee machine is a nice touch. We didn't have the breakfast but it looked good.

Staying in Quartier Latin

Neighbourhood Profile
Quartier Latin
The Latin Quarter bursts with intellectual life, architectural splendour and ongoing merriment. The small streets are filled with classical buildings, student bars and lively eateries while the squares are dominated by historic monuments. The area is defined by the 800-year-old Sorbonne University, where Latin once prevailed, and is famous for the Pantheon which celebrates the great men and women of France. During the day students rush from classes to the library and intellectuals people watch from the terraced cafés. As night time falls the surrounding establishments fill up and the merriment really begins. The liveliest parts are around Rue Mouffetard, lined with crêperies and international street food eateries, and Place de la Contrescarpe characterised by terraced brasseries, this neighbourhood provides real nourishment for the mind, belly, and soul.
