This really is, as they advertise, 'home from home' - very relaxed. In fact, we only saw one lady who seemed to do everything. Friendly, and efficient, and we got to practice our French as she didn't speak English. At first we were slightly worried as it seemed further from town than we thought, but actually it's 5-10 mins tops to walk in and you have the town of Epernay and Avenue de champagne on your doorstep. Parking is handy too, though most champagne houses accommodate plenty of cars too. I read somewhere this was a house owned by Monsieur Chandon. I didn't know that at the time. As I say - very relaxed. You are really left to your own devices, everything is unfussy and homely. Art and paintings very nice. I loved the big windows, radiators ... old style French chic. Recommended for a great location.

A visit that would have been OK except for the exceptionally rude lady running the hotel in the morning. We were told to come down for breakfast at anytime. 7.30 to breakfast to be told not a chance until 8. We explained and we're just blanked. Noted a few comments on the feedback about rude staff, seems they don't learn!

As we drove down the road I didn’t expect much, it appeared to be a bit of a city street, what a surprise! A beautiful house, lovely interior, lovely French welcome. Our room was a delight, tastefully decorated, tranquil and relaxing. After a long drive it was perfect to just rest a while before dinner. Minutes walk from town, no need for transport. Breakfast was a bit steep at 18e per person, however, I didn’t mind paying that for the experience. Sometimes you come across a little gem and want to keep it all to yourself, this is a lovely place to stay with a really nice owner who goes out of her way to make you feel welcome. I really fell in love with this place, what’s not to like, comfy bed, great linen, robes, tastefully decorated. Beautiful house. Great host. Give yourself a treat as you really are worth this experience, if you only try it once. You won’t be disappointed.

We were so pleased with our choice of hotel for a stopover in Epernay. The hotel has so much character, is very quiet (just ten minutes walk from the centre), has secure private parking and a very warm and friendly host. Our room was light and airy, and very peaceful. There was a plentiful, varied offering for breakfast. It was the perfect place to stay and we would have no hesitation in recommending to others.

Perfect little peice of heaven in quite a busy town. Off the back streets so away from the main road. High ceilings, loads of character. The room was very clean -showers could have been better but the manual hold is very French. Lovely gardens to sit in and a closing gate if you have a classic car to lock up at bed time 😃. Oh an electric car charger point too

A classic old style French hotel. Everywhere looks as if it needs redecorating but is still spotless. Sort of shabby chic. Very nice artwork in rooms and public areas. Breakfast is good in a nice room. Nice gardens and good parking. Very good spot just behind Avenue de Champagne walking distance of champagne houses and town centre. Pricey? A little but we’ll worth it.

Stayed there for 2 nights recently. When you look at the pics you might believe that this hotel is located in a magnificent park, but it is rather a modest garden at the back of a champagne house. At night a constant humming from there can be heard. Now there is nothing fundamentally wrong with this place, but for almost 500,- € for 2 nights (breakfast included), I find the place rather pricey for the smallish room you get. No separate shower, you have to stand in the bath tub, doing your best not to flood the bathroom. The two ladies who assist the elderly owner are very friendly and efficient. Again on the positive side, there is free parking and many Champagne houses are just around the corner. Downton Epernay is about 12 - 15 min walk, but let’s face it: as opposed to Rheims or Troyes, the Epernay city center is quite dull, and even the wine shops in town are less exciting than in Rheims. In the unlikely event I returned to Epernay, I would choose a different hotel.

Stylish maison with the central location, 10 min walk to the center of town. Friendly staff and the cat. Parking inside the gates. Good breakfast for 18 eur per person. Be aware that check-in finishes at 19:00, afterwards you have to pay extra 25 eur per hour for the late check-in.

Secured parking The hotel is located at walking distance from the heart of Epernay. Charming building surrounded by a few not so nice modern constructions. The managing lady is a little cold but helpful, the elderly owner has high hospitality standards and is very gentle. Room spotless clean but in our opinion dated and overpriced. We chose it for the secured parking which was very useful having a car full of luggage. Very quiet.

Cost Euro 210 for one night. Breakfast (continental) Euro 36 for 2 people! no facilities in room. No English spoken. No lunch or dinner service. Not friendly. We were given a key and told our room name. No maps or info. We wandered streets in dark on first night to look for something to eat. PLEASE NOTE; the local tourist office removed this 'hotel' from its approved list- I was told by a staff member. This is not a hotel! not even a B&B. Its an old house with expensive rooms. We felt ripped off. We would not stay here again.
