Our unexpected stay was a nice one. Friendly staff, clean and nice rooms. Good service and excenellent breakfast. We were woken up by the sound of running water, what seemed to be the airco-unit. This was resolved quickly by the receptionist. Would recommend the hotel!

Excellent location with a tram stop nearby for easy access to Strasbourg city centre. A very modern and tastefully decorated, spacious hotel. The breakfast was of very good quality with a good choice of food. Definitely recommended and would stay again.

Good experience except for the lack of WiFi during the last two days. Also a very unfortunate incident. When I ordered a bottle of white Châteauneuf du Pape, I was brought a bottle which had been opened earlier and whose cork had been replaced. Instead of having me taste it, the waiter served us (my wife and muself) a small quantity of wine and left us to our own devices. The wine was completely oxidized and undrinkable. When I complained, another waiter replaced the bottle. The first waiter then proceeded to remove the cork before us but almost poured some in the same glasses which contained the first one ! Only when we protested did he bring us clean glasses but still didn’t let us taste it. When I finally did, it was borderline oxidized but still drinkable. This lead me to believe the first bottle had been rejected by a previous customer and that the whole stock of Châteaneuf du Pape should have been returned to the producer.…

I would like to thank Hicham the receptionist for his warm welcome. Hôtel was good, clean. I didn’t have the opportunity /time to go to the spa, but looks good. Maybe I would suggest only one thing, a morning I forget my mask and I went to the reception asking if they can provide me one, my Uber was waiting so I didn’t have time to go back to the room, the girl at the reception asked me 0.80€, i mean we’re paying more than xxx€ per night, ask to pay a mask to a guest it’s not funny, but I can understand that’s maybe rules in France. Athena is a lovely place to stop on our journey to Greece from the UK. The Spa and underground car park in the city centre particularly welcome. Restaurant food is less good than the rest of the hotel. Breakfast is fine, but coffee poor.

I think this hotel is unprofessional. The hotel was generally average like many other places, but the swimming pool/spa was ok or actually fine. The problem with the hotel is that they charged 100 EUR as a kind of "guarantee", which none of my previous 20-30 hotels did. And the worst part is that they don't automatically release it. Furthermore, when they charge you and you checkout, they don't just amend the money from the guarantee, no they charge the credit AGAIN! The locked the guarantee of 100 EUR on August 1st. I checked out and left the hotel on August 3rd. Then they did absolutely nothing - I think they would have kept the 100 EUR "gurantee" if I hadn't checked my credit card account. After SEVERAL DAYS I demanded and claimed my 100 EUR back, as they did absolutely nothing and I had long left the hotel. They claimed it would take 3-6 days to release the claim. My bank said it always take 7 days. The end result is that the 100 EUR gurantee they charged on August the 1st was eventually released and available on my account again ON AUGUST 17TH 2021!!! 16 DAYS - MORE THAN 2 WEEKS - AND I BET THEY HAD KEPT THE MONEY, IF I HADN'T COMPLAINED... It's unacceptable behaviour, furthermore NONE OF THE PREVIOUS 20-30 (OR MORE) HOTELS I'VE STAYED AT DOES THIS, hence the lowest ranking. This review would've been much better if I hadn't had to struggle for many hours and waste a lot of energy and time on getting my 100 EUR back, which I still believe is ridiculous to charge from normal tourists abroad. It's like saying: "We don't trust you and we expect or think you'll damage the room, so we need a guarantee to cover that". Absolutely ridiculous, hence the low ranking - sorry, but the truth. We don't want to spend hours of time and energy on getting our own money back and having to wait more than 2 weeks!!!…

Know that we systematically do a bank pre-authorization for all of our customers. The use of this practice has become commonplace in hotel reservations in order to secure us. Without action on our part, the amount is automatically released after 7 days. Relaxing my body in the hammam, sauna and swimming pool was the best activity to end my hiking trip in the Alsace region. I slept great and ate well. Very happy there were vegetarian options and that we could still eat after the spa visit. Thank you Athena!

The hotel overall is very nice and well maintained with nice facilities; the inside area has a spa and a pool and outside you have a very nice area to use it for dinner (a shame cannot be used for breakfast) especially during summer. You have 2 options for parking indoor (for 9Euro per day) and outside (free). The surroundings are not the best if you think about visiting as it is an industrial area (or looks like one) therefore I am not sure is going to be good for families with kids (though the pool might look appealing to some travellers). Public transport is quite close and from what I saw it's easy to reach the city centre from the hotel. By car is easy enough as well and is very close to the highway which makes it perfect for fast access in and out.

As we wanted to visit Strassbourg but also relax, we have chosen to stay on this hotel. It is not far from the city center (we did it by car) and has many nice facilities. We used the spa and pool in order to relax but also visited the city. The room was very clean and the staff was very friendly!

I’ll be back for sure. Relationship between Price and quality is incredibly good even during Covid restrictions. It will be my point of reference for future long drives in Europe. Don’t know what else I should say.... ;)
