Just an amazing place, they made us feel so welcome, couldn’t do enough to make our stay perfect and all the staff were great with our 7 month old baby. Location is perfect, just metres from the Cathedral, Rohan Palace and river cruise docks. Breakfast is to die for.

My wife and I loved this hotel. We came here the week before Christmas and everything was decorated beautifully for the season. It's in a fantastic location by the cathedral and in the center of the various Christmas markets. Their breakfast was outstanding with tasty local baked goods and the French cuisine you'd expect for a light-medium sized breakfast. The room was very small, but for just my wife and I, it was sufficient. Nicely upgraded bathroom, though the carpets could use a little love. Would definitely recommend and come back here.

Wow--we enjoyed everything about our stay here, including the price. A great value. We came for a two-day-and-one-night tryst while we were staying at my wife's parents' farm in Lorraine. We found this hotel on the internet and couldn't believe the price compared to the great reviews. So we took it. We were not disappointed! The location is perfect--just a few block from Nôtre Dame, which serves as a terrific landmark if one is not acquainted with Strasbourg (this was my first visit, and my wife had not been there for some time). Most of what we wanted to see was within walking distance. The lobby is warm and welcoming, and the staff is fabulous. They gave us a tiny room with a great view of the cathedral's spire. Though the room was small, it was cozy and the space was used very efficiently. Everything was spotlessly clean--I would have eaten a meal served on the washroom floor. We ordered the buffet breakfast, which is also an excellent value. My French wife's high expectations for food and service were more than satisfied, as were mine. The continental menu was varied, the food was of excellent quality and served in a very pleasing manner. The pièce de résistance was the kougelhopf from the patisserie of Christophe Felder, one of France's most famous pastry chefs. (He evidently conducts a pastry school here, and his patisserie and tea salon in nearby Mutzig is well worth a visit.) The service in the hotel's café was, like all the other service, exceptional. Old World. We highly recommend Hôtel Suisse if you're ever in Strasbourg. A memorable experience. Next time we visit the city, we won't even look for alternate accommodations.

While staying in Paris for 2 weeks we decided to take an overnight to Strasbourg by train. I chose Hotel Suisse randomly but because I knew it was close to the cathedral. It was the perfect choice. We could see the cathedral from our window, and the hotel was in a perfect location for walking and exploring the town (which we loved). Our room was comfortable and attractive. We did not eat breakfast there but it looked delicious. The staff were very welcoming even to these non-French speakers.

This is a really cute hotel, old-style building vibes, very friendly and helpful staff. They provide great breakfast, including fresh baguettes and fresh orange juice. The best thing though is the fantastic location - I could actually see the cathedral from my window.

The room is cosy, small, charming, a cocoon. Loved being in love there. Breakfast was a reasonable, not overboard, buffet in the very Alsacien dining room. Best hot chocolate ! Personnel warm and helpful. This will be my Strasbourg hotel home from now on.

Affordable hotel in a great location, right by the Cathedral. The hotel has a great Alsatian vibe that is clean and well taken care of. The staff was extremely friendly and the cafe within the hotel was very nice. I would absolutely stay here again.

Wonderful location in the old city just behind the Cathedral. You said up to the Cathedral helps. The hotel is just off the Cathedral plaza so you a very close to cafes and shops. Rooms are small but we'll kept. Definitely a good value.

I have booked Hotel Suisse over an online booking engine, the communication before the arrival was excellent, I have received automatic information about parking situation with recommendations for good parking locations. For my perspective it is usual that a hotel located in historic center has no private parking. I followed the recommendation and parked my car at Parking des Batelier, which was perfect - only 5 minutes walk to the hotel (20EUR for 24h). We received a warm welcome at the reception, we arrived pretty early so the room was not ready yet, however we were offered to store our bags. In the afternoon we checked in and received a very cosy and charming room with view to the Cathedral. The room was clean and had a refurbished bathroom with bathtub. Breakfast was served in a cosy little breakfast room. You'll get croissants, bred, eggs, local cheese, cold cuts and good coffee. There was even some sparkling wine so we could cheers to my wife's birthday. Allover I definitelly recommend this place because of its charm, friendly staff and perfect location next to the Cathedral and the city center of Strasbourg.

I cannot say enough positive about this hotel. I went to school in this city and have and have been visiting a number of times in the last decade and tried various accommodations - maybe 6 different ones and all fall way short in one way or another, What I like - perfect location, exceptional staff based on meeting 3 or 4 different people, ambiance, my room, and the breakfast room is delightful for relaxing in the evening or during the day - this in and of itself is very unusual. All and all, I highly recommend this hotel. I only regret it has taken so long to find it!
