Spent 2 days at the hotel. Best location in the heart of the city, very close to Notre-Dame Cathedral. Very welcomed in the hotel, confortable double room with fantastic air conditioning! Great breakfast. Very helpful staff re. Parking near the hotel at reduced rates.
Highly recommended hotel; ideally located, excellent service, very friendly staff, clean, very comfortable bed, quiet and close to the cathedrale and in the middle of the old towncentre. We also had a dog and it was no problem.
Hotel Gutenberg has always been special to us following an earlier visit in 2017. Our return visit did not disappoint and indeed exceeded our expectations. The location in the heart of the old city close to the Cathedral, places it in the centre of a wide range of restaurants and cafes. Hotel Gutenberg is well appointed. Our room was particularly well appointed with a very comfortable bed and the bathroom facilities excellent with a really good shower. The Breakfast selection was varied and generous with a mix of Continental and cooked on offer. However the greatest quality of this hotel is the highly professional and personal consideration provided to us by the staff, in particular Melanie and Aurilie at Reception, who could not have been more helpful to us. Due to unfortunate circumstances we were forced to change our onward plans and they could not have been more helpful to us. Equally all of the staff displayed great willingness to make guests welcome and particular thanks to the Restaurant Maître D who went out of his way to provide ‘English Breakfast Tea’for my wife! To all the staff, we say a huge Thank You and we look forward to coming back to this very special gem of a hotel before too long.…
Loved the downtown location and atmosphere. Beautiful hotel, very clean and has a lot of comfort items to make you feel at home. We’re in town for a stressful event and coming back to our room was very peaceful. The staff is wonderful. THANKS.
Very comfortable, conveniently located. We were in a room facing the street in the first floor. Nevertheless it was surprisingly quiet. Would return to the hotel without hesitation. Room was very clean, and it seemed that it had been recently renovated. Very good breakfast.
Very central hotel and very comfortable.Modern and large rooms especiaaly the privilege rooms. A lot of restaurants around. The hotel is neat beautiful churche and near the ship station batorama. Good breakfast but they dont prepare eggs in your wish .... for my own opinion less rich breakfast
The location is the hotel is excellent. The size of the room was great; not a shoe box, much better than expected. The room has very modern décor, but it didn't look IKEA-like cheap. It was quite tasteful. We also liked the coffee machine and availability of extra coffee pods. The bathroom had no toilet, but there was a separate little room with the toilet, which had no sink to wash hands. It would be more hygienic to have a little sink for handwashing in the room where the toilet was.
Great soundproofing and ventilation .... it's in the middle of the noisy old town and we appreciated this added comfort! The room was well-designed and the staff was helpful. It's a walking city and the location is excellent for tourists...adding tram and bus access nearby. Our car stayed parked at the 'Park Austerlitz' a few blocks away at $15/night thanks to a discount card from the hotel. All good!
The hotel was located centrally and was accessible to all shops and restaurants. The hotel staff were all very friendly and helpful. The room was clean, decent size but the bathroom was rather minuscule. Did not quite like the attic room on 4th.
This review is to correct an inadvertent error. I posted a review on Expedia for Hotel Gutenberg that was meant for a hotel in Luxembourg. My stay at Hotel Gutenberg was very pleasant. The staff was very helpful and the room was comfortable. The location was very good with easy access to the tram. Plenty of good food and drink options near by. The staff also facilitated storing my rental bicycle in the hotel. Would absolutely stay again.
