My daughter and I had a lovely Prosecco Afternoon Tea here - a warm welcome and excellent service (Abbie) and the food was lovely - a great way to spend an hour charging the batteries before we hit the shops - would highly recommend

We arrive for one nights stay, to attend the funeral of a family member, booking a 4 star hotel, you expect very good standards. The place needs to be closed and a refurb done, it's in a bad way, plus very dirty, the photos are off the room we stayed in, other family members rooms, were just as bad, the hotel had a Bad smell, we tried calling reception to complain about dirty bedding, but the phone didnt work, told reception, but waste of time, would never used this hotel or any mercure hotel in the future.

My second stay at this centrally located hotel in the heart of the city. I was given a very warm welcome by Zak and given a room on an upper room overlooking Piccadilly Gardens which was clean and fresh . The hotel is perfectly located for either shopping or the Chinese Quarter or Canal Street.

Turned up at the Mecure lobby and reception was clean and tidy. Staff were friendly and helpful at check in . Got into lift and speaker is just making a buzzing noise really annoying. Room was very tired marks and stains on furniture, walls and carpets . Pure fittings and fixtures. Cracked tiles and mildew in bathroom and damp smell. No toilet paper or hand soap.

My boyfriend surprised me with afternoon tea as a celebration for me finishing uni. The afternoon tea itself was delicious - really nice selection of sandwiches and treats that were fresh. We had a table by the window which had a great view over Piccadilly Gardens made better by the sunny weather. Rose served us throughout the afternoon and made the occasion really special by pouring us a glass of prosecco on the house. She was so friendly and attentive making sure we had everything we needed. Thank you so much!
