It's the mixture of old and new that's so delightful at Heaton Park. You're in the historic area of Bury, right next to a park and estate that dates back hundreds of years. Yet you're a short tram ride from an ultra-modern city, plus there's all mod cons in our hotel too. Feed the animals in Heaton Park. Or feed your appetite for shopping at Bury's famous shopping centre and market. Party like mad at Manchester Pride festival, or celebrate a win at Old Trafford. Then come back to comfy beds, 40 inch flat screen TVs and a Beefeater restaurant.

The Premier Inn Manchester (Heaton Park) hotel garners mixed feedback from guests. While the rooms are generally appreciated for their cleanliness and comfort, a number of visitors have suggested that there is room for modernization, particularly concerning amenities and noise insulation. The staff's friendliness and helpfulness have been commended by numerous guests, but others have had less positive experiences, citing slow and occasionally discourteous service. Although the hotel's location is well-regarded for its convenience to the city center, the value has been questioned, especially with regards to the breakfast offering and room rates. Concerns have also been raised about bathroom safety and Wi-Fi connectivity.

Mary was on reception and was a great help, she helped us find a takeaway when our order never turned up and even made the order for us! Such an amazing and friendly woman, she really saved our day. I would 100% come here again for the great stay and 10/10 service. 😊

Arrived at 9pm with a very tired 8 year old. Mary greeted us at reception and made us feel really welcome, aswell as giving my son a birthday treat. When we arrived in the room, staff had put up balloons and left sweets and colouring items which was a fantastic touch. Room was basic but clean with all the amenities. Any requests were fulfilled straight away(we requested an iron and extra tea and coffee). Staff were friendly and approachable. Breakfast next door was really nice and good value for money. Overall a fantastic stay.

Having previously stayed here twice before when I was impressed by reception staff response to my room queries and choice, we stayed in a top floor room which was perfectly clean, comfortable and quiet, just what we needed after a family party I had organised. A great night’s sleep and then we’re joined at breakfast at the Beefeater adjoining by our son and family where we were welcomed and well looked after. On checking out we were greeted in such a friendly manner by Kate and the team, they really went out of their way to make this a great stay. Thank you once again everyone.

A standard Premier Inn, you know what you are getting with regards to room layout etc although slightly smaller than normal with a large shower and no bath. The staff were all friendly, there was some late night noise from the room above and we heard their alarm go off, although this is a common issue with modern hotels, poor sound proofing! The restaurant is a very large Beefeater which was very quiet when we went in for our breakfast on the Sunday morning. We had booked this some time in advance and got a very good price for our stay. There is a large, free car park with CCTV. It is only a few minutes walk to Bowker Vale tram stop which gets you in to the city centre in less than 10 minutes for a reasonable price and without the hassle of the traffic then trying to park at great expense

The staff at the Premier Inn Heaton Park could not have been friendlier or more helpful. Thank you.

I can't say the same about the accommodation. We stayed for five days and the location for traveling was good.

We were warned via the website that the hotel had no air conditioning and didn't think this would be a problem, but the room was boiling hot even on a moderatley warm day. The windows only opened one inch so fresh air was at a premium. This gave rise to uncomfortable nights.

Our biggest problem was the toilet seat. It was far too small for the toilet and insecurely fitted because of its poor size. As you sat on it, it twisted making your skin touch the porcelain. This was not a one-off as my daughter, who is pregnant, had exactly the same ill-fitting toilet seat in her room.

On the first day, we complained to the receptionist who was familiar with the issue and arranged for it to be fixed. The same small toilet seat was refitted but again on sitting on it twisted and the lid broke off.

Every day this complaint was reported to reception with the same result. On a Sunday we were told that no one was working who could repair it.

Be warned, apart from the toilet seat there is NO cupboard space at all to put your clothes. A small wardrobe yes but no drawers anywhere. Living out of a suitcase on the floor was unacceptable.

The Premier Inn at Heaton Park is not up to the standard I would expect, even for a budget hotel.

Hi, Thank you for your review. We’re very sorry that you had a disappointing stay with us recently due to your room being so hot due to the hotel not having air conditioning. We're also sorry that you found the toilet seat to be insecurely fitted and this wasn't fixed during your stay. This certainly isn't the experience we would expect for you. We’ve ensured this feedback has been logged to the Hotel Management team so that they can look into these issues with the team to prevent this experience from being repeated again in the future. Thank you for taking the time to contact us and we hope we can welcome you for a more enjoyable stay in the future. Kind regards, James

Our 3rd visit to Heaton Park Premier Inn and we've never been disappointed.

The rooms are always well maintained and very comfortable and the domestic staff are friendly, approachable and ready to assist with any queries.

The reception staff always greet you with a smile throughout your stay. Very accommodating and happy to assist in any way if they can. Need to single out Angela, who has been there for all our visits. Her eagerness to help is 2nd to none, and she was very warm and compassionate when dealing with a delicate issue. She is a real asset to the team.

The staff were all absolutely brilliant, the lady that checked us in was particularly outstanding and we were amazed at the lengths she went to, to ensure that our stay was as comfortable as possible. This particular employee is an absolute diamond (unfortunately, I can't remember her name), but I hope Premier Inn care for her, with the same diligence and conscientiousness she cares for her customers.

The hotel itself is easy to navigate and our room was very quiet. The beds were extremely comfortable and the room itself was spotless. The shower was great. I did keep forgetting which way to enter the keycard to get the electricity in the room working though! This is despite me being nearly sure it's printed on the actual card.

We paid over £100 for a Saturday night's stay, so the fact these rooms are sometimes available for around £30 is amazing.

I didn't have breakfast at the neighbouring Beefeater, which is looking fairly contemporary these days, with an adjoining beer garden. There's a Sainsbury's (& B&M) down the road, which is also fairly handy.

Coming and going at all hours with your keycard for access is also super convenient.

Overall, a fantastic experience, if a little expensive for a Premier Inn (which was at short notice, on a weekend).

Stayed as a couple in early September of 2021. Car parking was adequate and free, however, the proximity to a public house is concerning and the clientele of the same were smoking cannabis and being rowdy in a beer garden. Check-in was seamless and staff were friendly. Reception has two overpriced vending machines and a small seating area. Lift access is available to rooms on upper floors. Room was smaller compared to other hotels of the same brand I have visited. Room was well equipped save for air conditioning. A small fan is provided in lieu, however, the room was an unbearable temperature from arrival to check-out. Premier Inn will not accept this as a complaint under their “Good Night Guarantee” scheme as it is advertised that the hotel does not have air conditioning; this seems unreasonable as a solution to the issue would be a window with a proper opening to allow ventilation. That said, noise from the public house can be a disturbance. Bed comfy, although damp from the humidity of the room. No extra pillows provided and limited tea and coffee making facilities. Reception staff were helpful in replenishing said facilities and providing additional pillows. Adequate bathroom with powerful shower. Check-out seamless, did not eat at the adjacent public house so cannot comment save for its clientele.

The hotel is situated on a busy main road but traffic noise is minimal and car parking plentiful. Reception area was usual premier inn high standards and manned by a lovely receptionist called Mary. The room was also the usual standard but the bathroom was dated and needed refurbished. The hotel seemed a modern building but the floorboards creaked very badly and you could hear every footstep of the people above and their voices! We stayed for two nights: the first night we had no sleep til after 3am because the couple above were extremely inconsiderate. They came in at 12.30am and didn’t attempt to lower their voices and I’m sure they were trying to get their 10,000 steps in before 3am because they paced about the room for what seemed like hours. The following night it was quieter so there must have been different people in there. We were booked into the Beefeater for dinner on the first night but I went in to cancel because we decided to go to the Trafford Centre and I’m pleased we did. I was stood for ages at the door for someone to come and acknowledge me and then to be told my booking wasn’t there? The place looked a pig sty as there had been a function on and the buffet food was still out and drunk people everywhere at 6pm. Not great for families with young children and it was very noisy. Staff run off their feet! The tram stop if 5 mins walk away and takes about 15 mins to city centre. We normally stay at premier inn Old Trafford or Salford and we’ll be going back to those in the future. Heaton Park was Ok but not as good as the others we’ve stayed at in Manchester.

Having used Premier Inns on many occasions in the past both for business and pleasure I thought I knew what I'd be getting. On arrival the reception and the staff were as expected, clean tidy with friendly receptionist. Room was presented as expected, however the bed was very uncomfortable, certainly not my experience previously. We had a noisy guest directly above us, talking loudly and stomping around their room constantly. All food is served in the Beefeater next door and my experience of this probably means I would not book this hotel again. The first night we arrived we were told there was no room for us to dine, my fault for not booking. I asked if we could order food to take to our room (which was advertised) and again I was told no. We found somewhere away from the hotel to eat though. Following morning we returned to the restaurant for breakfast which we had pre-booked. Very limited choice, especially for me as I need gluten free food. Again it had been advertised that there was plenty choice available. We then returned to restaurant on the evening which although the food was nice the service was pretty poor. After being seated we then waited 20 minutes just to look at the menu. 25 minutes later I asked if it was ok if we ordered. All told we were in the restaurant for 3 hours with huge gaps between our dishes being served, My son then left a jacket when we left and although we left late and returned following morning for breakfast we were told jacket was not there.

There is a tram stop at Heaton Park or just down the road. You can use the tram to both destinations,a lot easier than taking the car
