Absolutely fantastic place. Comfortable rooms and great lounge/bar area. However what makes it outstanding is the staff. They literally can’t do enough for you.
I’d put 6 stars if I could.
Thank you to the hotel, the staff are a credit to you. Many thanks

This new hotel has a lot of positives in that the welcome you recieve from the staff is great as soon as you check in and they cannot do enough for you.
Parking is reasonable at £5 a day and the tram is an easy 5 minute walk and runs on a regular basis.
The room was comfortable but the bed a bit too soft but we had no issue with the qulits or pillows.
The bathroom was fine but the location and size of the tap a bit large if you wanted to wash your face.
Breakfast was again good quality for the price and there was reasonable choice with the scrambled eggs very good and plenty of variety with good coffee and tea. A slight negative would be to provide butter instead of margarine as that would be a nice touch with the good brown bread.
So the real negatives was the lack of a plug near the mirror whihc wound my wife up and she said obviuously a man designed the room.
The bar could have a little more choice as there are some great brewries in Manchester with good cans and bottles available and good gins!
The noise from some of the rooms was a little on the loudside and was a real distraction so we feel the walls are maybe a little thin.
Also on the sunday morning the smell on the first floor as we walked to the lift was disgusting and very off putting before having breakfast.
However if they can iron these points out it could easily be a four as it could ve good value for money.

Just spent 1 night at this very modern hotel with my husband. Loved it so much I had to leave a review as it’s brand new & people deserve to have an insight. We didn’t want a city centre hotel as we had the car and parking can be expensive. This hotel was an excellent choice with a big free car park and right next to the metro stop. Only cost £1.80 into the city and took 5 mins (1 stop). Had drinks in the bar area before we headed into town, nice seating and with a fun photo booth & music tv playing. Was quiet when we stayed as it’s just opened but should be a good atmosphere when hotel gets busier. I’ll 100% stay here again. Our room was very nicely furnished including big tv and comfy bed with amazing pillows! I don’t sleep well ever at hotels but this place was fab, black out curtains and you can control the heating yourself, which is rare. The shower room was very spacious and modern with 2 shower heads, one is a big rain shower style. I loved it! Also free toiletries!! The breakfast had everything from cereals, yoghurt, pastries, meats and cheeses to a full English. All served buffet style. I had a bit of everything including teas and juices. The large selection of teas was a real nice touch, hubby stuck to the coffee machine and said it was really nice. The very best thing is it’s served till 11am with check out at 12pm so we had a chilled morning.
This hotel is amazing value and I wouldn’t hesitate to stay again or recommend. Lovely staff, very helpful and all smiling!

Previously when I've visited Manchester, I've stayed in a hotel out near the Airport because they tend to be cheaper than those closer to the city centre. Not any more! The niu Loom is my new "go to" hotel, as the location and value for money are both excellent.
Conveniently located next to Queens Road Metrolink stop (one stop away from Victoria on the Bury line) and a short walk from Manchester Fort Shopping Park, it's also got a free car park with space for around 100 cars (including 4 EV charging bays).
As the hotel is more focused on the social aspect than most, the friendly, helpful staff tend to be dressed in a fairly casual manner, giving it a more laid back feel than most hotels, and tables in the dining area mostly seat six or more.
Bedrooms have full length blackout curtains, which are always welcome, opening windows, air conditioning and good-sized showers. Beds are a little firmer than I would like, and - as an Austrian chain - double beds come with two single size duvets and you get both standard and continental pillows.
To keep costs down, there are no tea and coffee making facilities in the bedrooms, but you can get complimentary hot drinks in the bar area and take them back to your room.
A complimentary buffet breakfast is also available, offering the usual selection of cereals, yoghurt, fruit juice, hot drinks, pastries, cheese, bread and a range of hot items including both pork and vegan sausages, bacon, baked beans. I'd even go so far as to rate the breakfast as better than at some full service hotels I've stayed at!
Overall I had a great stay and I can't wait to come back next time I'm in Manchester.

My wife and I stayed at The Niu Loom for three nights. Upon our arrival we were greeted by friendly staff who checked us in to our room on the 3rd floor.
The room itself was great and had more or less everything we required. More space would have been a bonus but as we were out for most of our stay, this wasn't a major problem.
The ensuite shower was clean and sufficient in size. However, we did notice a problem with the water pressure which was a little annoying as it took longer than normal to have a shower. I am assuming the hotel has a gravity based shower system so that the lower in the hotel you are, the better the water pressure?
Anyway, I did raise the problem with maintenance and they came almost immediately to investigate. They checked everything and assured me that all was in working order. Again, this wasn't a major problem but it would have been nice to have had a shower with high pressure.
In terms of the restaurant, we ate breakfast on one occasion just to see what it was like. Surprisingly, we were the only guests who were seated at 9.30am on a Friday! The breakfast options were good and I was particularly happy to see hot pancakes were available!
The car park was spacious and we never experienced any issues with parking on any of our nights.
I would definitely book this hotel again as it offers everything you need, the staff are all very friendly and super helpful and best of all, it is very reasonably priced.

Hi AsifakaAk Thank you for your review of the hotel - we love all feedback we receive and it was delightful to read you enjoyed your time with us. We have raised the water pressure issue with the relevant contractors in order to check throughout the property and they have initially advised it may simply be due to volumes of water being drawn through the system (in other words lots of people using water at the same time) but we are of course checking this further to ensure all pumps are running as they should be. It was great however to read that all other aspects of your stay were enjoyable and we look forward to having you back with us again!

After my hotel in Manchester cancelled my reservation two weeks before the weekend I was due to stay I was desperately looking for new accommodation, as it was the Bank Holiday weekend all hotels in the city centre were in excess of £300. I then found the Nui Loom and I’m so glad I did. It was really well priced a lot cheaper than the city centre hotels and the location was fantastic, only 1 stop on the tram from Victoria station (4 mins) which meant we could return to the hotel before heading back into town. Plenty of free parking on site aswell.
The hotel was very modern and what I would expect to see in a premium hotel, the rooms were tidy and very comfortable (a little on the small size but adequate for two adults) staff were really helpful (even at 3am when you wanted a drink) breakfast was impressive, full selection of hot food and cold continental bits - on till 11am so spot on for a lie in!
Overall if your after a premium hotel at a budget price, and close to the city centre, this is the place to stay!
Will definitely stay again :-)

Im so confused around the other reviews, this hotel is amazing! As soon as you walk in you are greeted by such friendly staff who would do anything to accommodate you, the rooms have a quirky style and are super clean, room comes with en-suite which is really modern, complimentary soaps and other essentials.
Breakfast- A full english style breakfast with other cereal and sweet options such as waffles and crossaints also has nutella mini pouches which is really useful for any children. Really couldn’t fault the breakfast. Free tea and coffee throughout your stay via the machines and mini bar for water and other drinks.
The hotel has some amazing touches, a FREE photo booth which takes and prints a photo for you and your family a pool table and other games for children in reception.
Location - To anyone who says it’s outside or too far their lying, their is a tram station outside next to the hotel, the tram is £3.50 and takes you 1 stop to manchester (literally 2 minute ride) i preferred staying in this hotel it was a new experience getting the tram home on a night. Or around £10 in a taxi.
Totally recommend.

What can I say but perfect. We stayed to go watch a gig at the O2 Victoria and it was so cheap if im honest feels too cheap. We paid around £25 in ubers there and back that added to the room cost I honestly walked away feeling I got a great deal. The rooms are so clean the shower is brilliant it was a waterfall one and a handheld one it had a 40 inch TV and it even had a Bluetooth speaker! The AC in the room was like the ones you get abroad, the plug sockets had USB ports and also the 2 pin ones.
The staff where very friendly and helpful always smiling. The breakfast was amazing never seen so many choices of hot drinks.
All on all I would highly recommend this place we got a great discount on booking.com. it will defo be the only place I stay coming to Manchester.

Literally couldn’t fault the hotel from
Arrival to departure - an amazing very modern hotel the staff made us feel like friends from the moment we walked through the door, we had a very attentive check in and our room was lovely we did have a slight snagging issue as the wind was really high and had caused something to come loose at front of the hotel we were immediately moved and staff couldn’t apologise enough it really didn’t cause any inconvenience to us and it was all very smooth. Lovely breakfast and we had a drink in the bar and again staff were lovely. It’s a few minute walk to queens road tram stop taking you direct into the centre so a perfect location really

Looking at previous reviews we didn’t experience any of the same issues, no problem with electric sockets, hanging space, didn’t feel the room was too small.
We got a taxi both ways into the centre of Mcr using the local taxi firm and both ways was around £5, so easier than getting a tram and for little more cost. If there is more than two in a taxi would be even better value.
We had a ground floor room facing the main road and there was very little noise, was very well soundproofed with the windows shut.
Excellent bathroom with good large shower space.
No problems with having a separate duvet each for two sharing a bed, didn’t spoil our sleep!
Would be nice to have tea/coffee in the room but it wasn’t a deal breaker.
Overall great value for money, everything new, cant find any faults. Good nights sleep.

Hi,
The Bury line goes to the Heaton Park.
The best/quickest way is the train from the airport to Piccadilly, then jump on to the Bury Metrolink to Queens Road - we are just near the Queens Road stop.
You can get the tram all the way from Manchester Airport to the Hotel but this requires changing services and is a much longer journey.
You would need to change trams as no direct service
