EasyHotel Manchester City Centre is celebrated for its prime location at the heart of the city, surrounded by public transport and vibrant nightlife, a feature that guests consistently admire. Travelers praise the hotel's cleanliness and the staff receives accolades for their warmth and helpfulness. While the hotel offers a budget-friendly stay, some guests caution that the rooms are quite compact and simplified, with a lack of in-room amenities such as tea or coffee facilities. Despite the rustic charm and modernity, noise levels can be an issue for some due to thin walls and street activity.

First thing to say is that I really do not understand the poor reviews for easyHotel Manchester City Centre. I can only assume that those who criticise the size of the rooms are used to paying through the nose for a large hotel room which you simply do not need. Of course, perhaps some failed to read the accurate descriptions offered on the hotel’s website and via booking.com.

The hotel is perfectly located in easy reach of the Manchester Piccadilly train station and Piccadilly Gardens tram stop. It is actually better situated than some of the main budget hotel chains in the area.

The service at reception was fantastic and personal. Mohammed (acting manager) is an incredibly genuine and helpful member of staff who treats customers as individuals. At this point it is worth noting that as a super budget hotel additional services incur an additional cost, but what do you expect! Considering if you fly easyJet you have to pay for extras please do not think that this would not apply to the easyHotel brand (and these are well publicised in advance of your stay!). I opted to pay for early check in (£10) as I was considerably early arriving in Manchester and early check out (£10) for my convenience.

The corridors are well kept and wide with a fair standard of cleanliness with the option to use a lift to access all floors, stairs are of course provided.

Bedrooms are small (again this is clearly publicised) but cosy. Perfect size for two people in all honesty, it is tight to get around the bed to the window but the chain have made good use of the space they have in the flat iron building. I hazard a guess that the rooms closer to the narrower end of the building are smaller. The bed was very comfy and linen was unmarked. There is an easy to use air conditioner which can also act as a heater if required. You can purchase the use of the TV if you so wish, there are amble electrical sockets in the room and lighting is good.

The bathroom is a marvel utility of space. Admittedly you could probably wash your hair whilst using the toilet! The shower is in an enclosed cubicle as part of the bathroom which was powerful and always provided hot water. We did find that the bathroom wall and door into the bedroom being frosted glass a gimmick and worth knowing about if you are booking a room with someone that’s not your family (the other person will be able to see you in the bathroom). However, this was not a problem for us!

The hotel also offers a vending machine and easyCoffee (via another vending machine) on the ground floor. Hotel front door is locked at 9pm and only accessible via ringing a bell and a member of staff will let you in, helping to make you feel safe in the city-centre hotel. You cannot open the windows but the air conditioner prevents the room from becoming stuffy.

We would definitely stay here again and hope to do so in the future!

Overall this hotel is perfect for those travelling on a budget as you get a comfy bed, an ensuite as well as a window looking out on the road. Me and my partner slept well both nights here as the location was quiet and you couldn't hear those staying next door to you. The staff were super friendly, we had an issue with our shower as it kept leaking in the bathroom and into the sleeping area and as soon as we told them, they called someone to look at it. As for location, we were in the centre of everything so we were in walking distance of the town centre, Manchester Arena as well as being close to the main tram stops.
I would say this is accommodation is perfect for those who are travelling solo or as a couple, however you have to pay for Wifi so not ideal for those travelling for business reasons.

i dont think im very high maintenance, but i was a little surprised at how minimalistic EasyHotel was. There is literally just the bed shown in the main pic, and a small bathroom, no chair, no ledge nor bedside table even. there are 2 coathangers on the wall and 2 hooks in the bathroom for towels. the corridor from door to bed is narrow so if you have a big luggage, you won't even be able to open it. so, more like a cubicle than a room. also, take ear plugs if at all sensitive sleeper, we could hear everything from the street, corridor and even some noise from other rooms and the hotel is obviously not even busy now so i don't want to imagine how it can get.

If you are 1 or 2 people staying 1 or 2 nights and don't need wifi or tv (those cost extra) yet want to be centrally located, it can be worth it. if you want any "extras", like even check-out 1 hour later, u might as well pay the extra 10 and stay in a hotel that actually provides a room and basic amenities. i don't mean to be too rough, the room was very clean and modern and location good, but i did not feel like it was quite worth the money saved from next price level.

for the size the bathroom is nice and hot water etc works well. bed also fairly comfortable. for some reason we only had 1 large towel, not sure if that was a mistake of if they would have charged extra for 1 more, did not ask. also the wifi system with daily passwords is a bit tedious, but the wifi itself seemed stable and fast.

Easy Hotel is a perfect place for a short stay in the great city of Manchester. Just a short walk from Manchester Piccadilly the hotel is in the old Bradley House building, so right in the heart of the Norther Quarter.

I’ve stayed here many times and although the rooms are compact, they are always spotless and have free WiFi, TV, towels and body wash.

Rooms can be a little noisy due to the location but ear plugs are available for free from the reception.

Check in is always easy and you can store bags if you are in town early, or a £10 early check in/ late check out is available. Asif is always helpful when I visit, having spinal issues I need extra pillows and it’s never a hassle and the beds are perfect.

The hotel also offers a decent coffee for £2 and a vending machine for those late night snack.

Upon arrival, the service provided in Easy Hotel Manchester was exceptional. The individuals met through the process of checking into the hotel had been very friendly and understanding in accommodating your needs. It was a very gratifying environment in which made you feel at home and on top of that, the cleanliness and beautiful layout of the rooms was astounding.

The place in which the hotel is located is perfect because it's right within the city centre and you'll be able to venture out with family and friends by exploring manchester especially if it's your first time.

it's simply hard to pinpoint a specific thing in which I liked about the hotel as I found everything to be amazing which is why I highly recommend staying here.

its got great service and great prices what else could you ask for. :)

So the rooms are extremely cheap and the location is excellent.

The staff very helpful.

Ive paid triple what I paid for a room and not had as good an experience.

for £20-30 a night you cannot complain at all. Its not a 5 star experience but you aren't paying for 5 star.

The rooms are modern and clean with a nice brick wall feature.

If you sign up for their rewards type program you will receive free WiFi (I know most places this is free, but the room cost me £23 a night midweek).

I'd really recommend. If you're looking to impress then this isn't the hotel, but if you want a clean modern hotel that's right in the middle of where you want to be in Manchester and need a good comfortable bed for the night, this is perfect.

I stayed here as I needed to catch an early flight from Manchester Airport. This hotel is 5 minutes walk from Manchester Piccadilly train station. This is really handy, as you can get a train to the Airport from there, and a single ticket only cost me £4 as at September 2020. I was in room 028, which was on the ground floor of the hotel. It was a Tuesday night, so I wasn't affected by street noise. But if a weekend, I would ask if you can get as high a floor as possible to try and avoid street noise. The room and bathroom are very very small. But the price was very cheap, so it was ideal. Usually you have to pay £5 for wifi and £5 for the TV. However, I joined Easyhotel clubBedz on their website (it is a free loyalty club and takes 1 min to register) which gives you free wifi. The receptionist also gave me free TV. He said the system had changed, and now you don't have to pay for TV. All in all very good for the price for an overnight stay.

We arrived at the hotel two hours before check in with the hopes of dropping our bags at reception before heading into the city. Once we arrived the gentleman who greeted us explained that the room was ready now so for £5 we could get an early check in so we were so happy with that as it meant we could get sorted before heading out. We have stayed at an easy hotel before in Liverpool and hated it, we didn’t really have anything positive to stay so I was doubtful however once we got to the room we were very surprised it was lovely & spacious and spotlessly clean. I just wish there was extra pillows as the one provided wasn’t that great. We wouldn’t return to the liverpool one but we will definitely return to the Manchester one.
My only negative comments are the check out time of 10am which is rather early for a hotel & the WiFi you have to pay almost £9 for 24 hours which is an absolute scam and the noise levels are so high, there’s constant traffic driving passed so there wasn’t a minute where it was silent (when I was awake) But apart from that everything else was lovely, thank you’

Me and my friend were placed on the bottom floor in this hotel - my advice to anybody who would be staying here would be to request another room or you will have no sleep whatsoever. I saw another review on this site which stated that staying here was like being involved in an episode of ‘999 What’s Your Emergency?’ and how right they were. Did not sleep a wink all night due to various service vehicles racing past with sirens on. The issue is that the room was SO close to the road so absolutely everything was heard. Drunk people screaming and shouting next to our window also. I understand this is a budget hotel but the sound proofing really needs to be looked into. This applies also for the rooms next to you. Conversations were heard loud and clear from other rooms making us feel like we had to watch what we said as people may be listening. Not the experience we wanted. Also extremely early check out times - we PAYED to stay an hour extra as we were very tired but could not sleep as all we could hear was the mad rush of people checking out and cleaners who were so inconsiderate it was ridiculous. DO NOT MAKE YOU’RE GUESTS PAY for this service if you are not going to provide it adequately. In addition to this, the heating was obviously not working as the room as that cold we could see our own breath. Tried to sort out the air con to see if it could heat up the room but it was not working. Would not stay here again and I will be telling my friends and family about this terrible experience.

This is a hotel that is most certainly on point with price. When you pay £27 a night you should only expect the bare basics which it delivers on.
Upon arrival i quickly established that staff here are very informal but processed my check in quickly.
I was informed that I had the biggest room and after reading other reviews I was grateful for the extra space.
The room was very clean and tidy but there is only a bed in the room to consider.
The bathroom was also very clean but on the small side, not sure how someone much bigger than myself would try on.
The air conditioning helped bring the temperature in the room down nicely but an opening window would have been good.
Unfortunately the mattress seems a little past it’s use by date as one side had completely sunk meaning sleeping in the middle impossible.
The wifi was quick and easy to connect to.
Over all a reasonable stay for the price paid although often for a few ££ more I’d probably choose Travelodge instead just for the comfort.
