Was due to stay here 24 May as attending the killers concert. As another person has also commented found out by chance that the hotel was closed a few days before we were meant to stay. Neither the hotel or Expedia told us about the closure. As the hotel have taken payment and not answering any calls or emails still trying to get our refund back. Avoid this hotel at all costs!!!

Originally booked through booking.com for an overnight stay following the planned Killers concert in 2020. Due to COVID the concert was rescheduled for May 2021 and then May 2022. The hotel kindly moved our booking each time and today we rang the hotel to query something ahead of tomorrows long time booked and paid for stay. Imagine our horror when no one answered the phone and a voicemail message advised that the hotel was closed for redecoration and maintenance work and no further room bookings are being taken. No alternative contact details for the hotel were given, only advice to contact the agency you had booked through. At no stage have we been advised of the closure and offered a refund. Booking.com had no record of the second rescheduling from the hotel and no longer have the hotel available for booking due to its closure, so have washed their hands of the booking!…

After another hotel let me down, I called this hotel. A man answered and just hung up on me and then wouldn't answer. Thanks for that, I'll just walk all around Donny all night as you couldn't be bothered to even talk to me to see if you could help with a last minute room. I appreciate it was late but just to get ignored is upsetting. Thankfully premier inn helped me out

My husband and I stayed here for the Doncaster races. The location is ideal, literally just over the road. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay here. The rooms are tired looking and decor a little dated but over all very clean and the shower great and very hot.The bed was huge and really comfy and our room was so big too. The bar downstairs was cosy and drinks very nice and you must eat in the restaurant! My god the food is superb! Also the bus stops right outside to take you into Doncaster town. Perfect hotel for a short stay at the races.

Surprised to see how bad the exterior looks, weeds everywhere, to say was busy races week you'd have thought staff would have gone round with bit of weed killer and tidided area up to make look more presentable.

Stayed here on business, Evening meals were OK iff you like Indian food. Room was OK, clean and warm Some staff were great, others unapproachable. The owner kept a sharp eye on everything, walking in and out of the restaurant. The continental breakfast was rubbish, 2 lots of bread for toast, 3 lots of assorted cereal, some fruit tea or coffee. I don't do brown bread, when the white bread was gone, you got nothing else, or no alternative was offered. Disappointed to say the least. We won't come here again

Our booking included breakfast but did we get any ..... no. We went downstairs in the morning expecting breakfast to be told they weren’t serving breakfast due to COVID-19. We weren’t told this when we checked in. My husband is type 1 diabetic and had taken his insulin in our bedroom before we went downstairs. We had to jump in the car and dash into the town centre to find somewhere for breakfast before he ended up having a hypo!!! Our room wasn’t bad but the exterior and car park looks shabby.

Stayed over night on business last night, didn’t get to the hotel till late but was greeted by the friendly staff who had a nice quick chat with me to see how my day had been and asked about what I’d been doing for the day as I’d been explaining my job. I was absolutely knackered so was rather happy to be at the hotel. As soon as I walked in to my hotel room, I was greeted with a real decent sized room and bathroom, which I was not expecting! The room was clean and nicely arranged , and had a lot of amenities for the price that was paid for the room! Would have liked to have stayed longer but unfortunately I was only able to stay for 8 hours sleep. Wish I was able to try the breakfast this morning however I had to be back on the road before breakfast was served, I did however have a quick look over the menu that was in my room last night to see what sort of food they had to offer and there was a real good selection to cater for everybody! Thanks again to the lovely staff at the Grand St Ledger, and hopefully I will be back soon once I’m passing that way again on a job!…

This was a great hotel, and it was reasonably priced, interior a little dated but for the price who cares, the secret weapon is the food in the restaurant, it was fantastic, and the girls who served me were great. They could do with turnng the heating down in the rooms as it was a little hot and I had to sleep with the window open in winter, such a waste of heat.

Had a terrible stay here on 7th December for our anniversary, paid extra for the jacuzzi bath the was broken and they refuse to refund the extra I paid?? The room was unbelievably hot even though it was freezing all night, by the time we got to the room about 10pm the heating had been on full ALL day. It was so hot it made you feel sick as soon as you walked into reception not just the room. All the other guests were saying the same and kept going outside to cool down even halfway through their meal. The meal in Crab & Moo was outstanding and every staff member apart from Catherine was extremely friendly, professional and helpful. Really lovely bunch. Catherine on the other hand, I'm unsure how she's still in a job to be honest, she obviously has no idea how to deal with customers, I am very friendly and polite (first negative review) but I will not be called a liar and made to look stupid when the concerns I brought to her about the room have obviously been brought up before now I've checked reviews. Springs sticking out of the mattress, unclean room, very outdated, broken jacuzzi bath, random screws sticking out of the floor tiles and tiles surrounding the bath. Broken light shade full of dust above the bed. Ridiculously warm, window doesn't stay open. Carpark is just waste ground full of rubble. I'm gutted to leave this review as the restaurant and the rest of the staff make it worthwhile but to not address customer complaints correctly and to speak to people like she does means I wouldn't stay again even if it was free and unfortunately as she works there I wouldn't return to the restaurant either.…
